《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 92: The Prodigy of the Wei's

Mo Lee was still showing how his fights inside the moonstone's silver space went.
He would stop with a sad face in between his story of different stages as this realization was always there that he couldn't even be in the top 10 from among all the disciples who had taken the challenge till now.
'Tap, Tap.'
"You can do better next time. Don't forget to train hard."
Zhao Luo encouraged Mo Lee as he was feeling very satisfied after watching his moves.
Others were also feeling appeased after watching what Mo Lee went through in the silver space.
They had different reasons for being satisfied.
Feng Mei and Yan took a sigh of relief while thinking that they didn't fight the puppets with such ugly and embarrassing moves as the ones Mo Lee was displaying.
While on the other hand Zhao Luo and Wu Yang were enjoying this junior's way of telling.
Mo Lee's story finished up as noises were rising around the ring platform. The disciples were excited thus the noise that Zhao Luo was hearing was because of their reaction to something that was happening on the stage.
"Woah Look at that guy."
Mo Lee said who had ended his story.
He was pointing at a guy who was standing in front of the seventh pillar where Zhao Luo had been standing when he challenged the Moonstone.
'Hmm, interesting.'
Zhao Luo thought while looking at the number of the stage on top of the pillar.
"15."
Zhao Luo mumbled.
'How long has it been? 10 minutes? Or 15?'
Zhao Luo questioned as it hadn't been that long since he came down the ring platform after clearing the moonstone challenge.
In that short time, this guy had already reached stage 15.
"No way."
A disciple shouted as other disciples also exclaimed.
"16."
The number advanced on top of the pillar where this guy was.
As Zhao Luo looked at this disciples back that was advancing through the earlier stages with almost the same speed as his, he came to realize something.
"He looks familiar."
Zhao Luo said with a low voice.
'But where have I seen him?'
Zhao Luo wondered.
The guy had black short hair. He was as tall as Feng Mei.
'Either he is just short or too young.'

Zhao Luo thought while looking at the disciple.
While the other disciples were advancing slowly this disciple was advancing at a high speed and steadily.
Zhao Luo realized that this disciple's speed slowed down a bit when he passed stage 20 but it was fun to watch as the other disciples would be shouting whenever he cleared a stage and advanced to the next.
After a while, many disciples had to quit cause they couldn't clear the stage they were on.
The factor of 'strength' wasn't enough such that they had to quit and go down the ring.
Most of these disciples who went down the stage were in the 10s stages while very few had crossed stage 20.
While the disciple that Zhao Luo was still focused on was the one who had the highest speed and looked familiar to him.
"38."
Zhao Luo looked at the number on the pillar.
'He must be good to reach 38 this fast.'
Zhao Luo praised his speed.
The other trainee disciple couldn't even come close to this disciple's speed when Zhao Luo compared the two.
While Zhao Luo was looking at the disciple, the disciple opened his eyes. This was a sign that he had finally hit a wall.
"Good. He can reach stage 39 in such a short time."
Zhao Luo let out a compliment as it hadn't even been an hour since this guy had gone up the stage.
This guy was faster than Ruo Qing but not as strong as her.
The disciple turned around and looked directly at Zhao Luo.
'He is...'
Zhao Luo finally found out why this disciple looked so familiar.
The ones who had passed the examination test along with Zhao Luo didn't number a lot but everyone was quite good when comparing them to previous trainee disciples.
This disciple who was looking directly at Zhao Luo was also one of the examinees who had taken the sect entrance examination along with Zhao Luo and one of the few who had passed it.
The disciple jumped down the ring and walked towards Zhao Luo.
The disciples around the ring made way for him as for some reason even with his short height, he looked tough.
While these disciples weren't even confident enough to surpass the number of stages that this short fellow disciple had cleared just now.

"Hmm."
Zhao Luo wondered as he looked at the angry expression of the kid that was coming at him.
'Is he coming to challenge me?'
Zhao Luo couldn't help but smile when he looked at the furious expression on the short guy's face again.
Zhao Luo had to admit that the kid looked cute for some reason.
"Brother Zhao Luo."
The disciple said as soon as he came to stand in front of Zhao Luo.
'Calling me brother with that face which tells me that you are using some high-quality curses at me. Haha.'
Zhao Luo jokingly thought as he smiled while looking at the expression of the disciple.
"I, Wei Bin, want to apologize to you."
The disciple who introduced himself as Wei Bin bowed in front of Zhao Luo to show his sincerity.
"Why are you apologizing to me?"
Zhao Luo who was confused by Wei Bin's action asked him.
He thought as hard as he could but couldn't remember if there was an incident that happened to him involving this kid.
In the Sect's Building in the First City, Zhao Luo hadn't even talked to Wei Bin. Zhao Luo could barely remember him.
"After the second test ended on the examination day, and the Second Elder brought you back just to announce you as the top scorer, I couldn't believe it. I thought that you had cheated. But now...."
Wei Bin bowed even more as he felt embarrassed with his inferior thoughts regarding such an amazing and handsome person.
"After seeing your shine, I feel stupid. So please forgive me for doubting you and your skills."
Wei Bin begged Zhao Luo as he had finally comprehended the difference in their skills after losing out on stage 39.
"Stand straight."
Zhao Luo said in a stern voice.
Wei Bin shrugged and looked up at Zhao Luo.
Wei Bin was taken back for a moment as he looked at Zhao Luo's cool expression.
"Do you know what I was going through when I heard that I was the top scorer of the second test?"
Zhao Luo asked Wei Bin who could only shake his head indicating that he couldn't even guess the answer to Zhao Luo's question.
"I was doubting myself too."
'Tap'
"So don't worry about it."
Zhao Luo patted Wei Bin's shoulder and said with a smile.
The young-looking Wei Bin couldn't help but shed a tear after seeing Zhao Luo's reaction to his confession.
"How old are you Wei Bin?"
Zhao Luo asked wanting to confirm if the guy in front of him was just short and looked young but wasn't.
"I am 15."
Wei Bin answered Zhao Luo with a confused look on his face.
'He is a year younger than our Feng Mei.'
Zhao Luo thought as Wei Bin was in reality just a kid.
"You will become strong one day."
Zhao Luo gave Wei Bin a positive review after thinking about the stages he had cleared while just being 16.
"Wei Bin?"
A female voice was heard as she had arrived at the spot where Zhao Luo and the others were.
"Su Shi... Where were you?"
Zhao Luo looked at the owner of the voice and said.
Even though they had entered the Sect just 4 days ago, it had been around two days that he hadn't seen Su Shi.
"Hello everyone."
Su Sho who had suddenly joined them greeted the others after which she again focused on Wei Bin.
"Su Shi?"
Zhao Luo could hear Wei Bin mumbling as he was also exchanging the stare with Su Shi.
"Do you know each other?"
Zhao Luo asked as he looked exchanged glances with Wei Bin and Su Shi.
Wei Bin shook his small head. While Su Shi opened her mouth.
"He is the prodigy of the Wei house, one of the martial families of the third city."
Su Shi told Zhao Luo while others also listened to the true identity of Wei Bin.
'So he is from one of the martial families.'
Zhao Luo had to admit that everyone he had met till now, would always reveal themselves to be from a very interesting background.
Wei Bin smiled silently.
"Don't you want to take the moonstone challenge?"
Zhao Luo asked Su Shi.
"Hahaha."
Su Shi chuckled after listening to Zhao Luo's question.
"I had already challenged it earlier and don't be surprised okay...."
Su Shi warned them before completing the hidden part.
"I reached stage 36 on my first try."
Su Shi said proudly.
'I guess she didn't watch me or the others.'
Zhao Lup thought while showing a smile as if he was impressed by her achievement.
"You did well."
Zhao Luo said with a half sincere smile.

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.
