《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 43: Reunion

Everyone was looking at Zhao Luo.
Zhao Luo's name was at the end of the ranking list in the scroll. He had scored the most in the 2nd test.
'75 points.'
Some thought as their focus was on Zhao Luo now.
Some of the examinees felt jealous of how good Zhao Luo did in the riddle-solving test as they were making excuses towards themselves for not performing as well as Zhao Luo.
'He must have helped him.'
One of the students had this thought while looking at the second elder. He blamed the elder for this. But if he knew how Zhao Luo solved the riddles then he would be thanking the elder.
'How crushing would it be for these youngins if I hadn't taken Zhao Luo away?'
The second elder thought.
It would break their spirit. Someone who is already Worlds apart from them in terms of looks was solving riddles left and right and not only just solving the riddles, it was like he was taking a walk in the park. These were the same riddles that took them countless tries to answer them right.
This was just how some of them thought, the others didn't look troubled at all.
'It's just points. We have already passed to become the trainee disciples of the Sect.'
They were thinking along such lines so they didn't care about the result of the second test much.
Feng Mei grabbed Zhao Luo's robe to get his attention. Zhao Luo looked at the cute Feng Mei.
"Wow, brother you got 75 points. That's amazing."
Feng Mei only had praises for Zhao Luo who stood in first place with 75 points.
Zhao Luo felt happy, not because he got 75 points but instead the way Feng Mei praised him.
'She is an angel.'
Zhao Luo thought as he patted her head.
"You will be smart as me too, one day."
He said to Feng Mei without forgetting to call himself smart.
"Your score is impressive."
Yan said while having a smile on his face.
'I knew he wasn't ordinary.'
Yan thought while looking at Zhao Luo's hand as if he wanted to be patted too.
"I was just lucky."
Zhao Luo replied to Yan with a smile. He was being modest cause the way he solved the riddles was nowhere close to him being lucky.

'Unbelievable.'
Su Shi couldn't believe that someone solved more riddles than her. Above that, it had to be him.
'I don't know why but he looks charming.'
A thought passed Su Shi's head as she couldn't control her lingering sight while she stared at Zhao Luo like a koala.
"Hmmm."
Zhao Luo looked at the staring Su Shi and raised his brows. Like asking her if something was wrong.
Su Shi started blushing because of embarrassment. To her, it felt like Zhao Luo could read her thoughts when he raised his brows. So she looked away.
'Acting cute.'
Zhao Luo wondered, because of how Su Shi was acting. He had a radiant smile on his face as he was surrounded by three beauties even though unfortunately one was a man.
He first passed the first test without much effort and now he also got the top score in the 2nd test.
'What a lucky day.'
Zhao Luo thought as he looked around to check the expressions of the other examinees.
'I love this.'
He had to admit that the look on the faces of the others was giving him another level of enjoyment.
"This is the score. From now on you will be disciples of the Xin Sect."
The second elder announced as everyone looked at him.
"But don't forget that you will only be entering with the status of a trainee. As to how you all progress and the achievements you make will depend on three things."
The second elder continued as he raised three fingers in front of them.
"Your courage, your attitude, and the most important, the will to challenge."
The second elder gave a powerful speech. This may also be what will help them in the future. He knew how to rile them up. The stronger their minds will be now, the stronger will their actions be later.
"The will to challenge will keep your desires burning. Just keep on challenging till no one is left to challenge. Only then will you be able to challenge yourself."
The second elder said proudly.
'so confusing.'
Feng Mei thought while pondering.
It wasn't only her who was having a hard time understanding the second elder's words, everyone else there was going through the predicament.
The words of the second elder were so profound that they obviously weren't able to understand it.

Feng Mei glanced towards Zhao Luo through the corner of her eyes.
She wanted to see how her brother was faring against the second elder's complex philosophy regarding how they should conduct themselves after entering the Sect.
'indeed.'
Zhao Luo was nodding at the second elder's words.
'To achieve my goal, I will challenge myself as soon as possible.'
Zhao Luo thought.
'But before that, I need to become the strongest in the world.'
He already had a clear path. Just that to walk on this path of his, he had to work really hard.
Zhao Luo clenched his fists.
The second elder looked at all the new disciples of Xin Sec to see how prepared they were for their training life. After getting a thorough understanding of each one of them, he continued with his speech.
"That will be it from me. Let me introduce myself again. I am the second elder of the elder's hall of Xin Sect."
The second elder started introducing me.
"I am also known as the Master of Riddles. Though my name is Dousan and I am the leader of Dousan Palace."
The elder continued. He was giving them a short introduction about himself. This may be helpful for them later on.
"Maybe one day you will be training under me."
The second elder shifted his eyes to Zhao Luo while grinning.
'I want him.'
The elder thought while staring at Zhao Luo.
Zhao Luo shuddered as if he could feel the elders thought through his eyes.
"What about the points? How can we use them?"
Su Shi asked the elder interrupting the elder from his possessing thoughts regarding the talented Zhao Luo. This was what everyone wanted to know more than elder duosan's background.
'Tsk.'
The elder clicked his tongue and explained to Su Shi.
"The points can be used to exchange for things that you can only get from the Sect. As to what kind of things you will get depends on where you go to exchange your points."
Elder Dousan ended his explanation. He knew that these newbies will start asking about the qualification exam if he kept on going so eventually he will be telling the starting history of the Xin Sect too.
"This will be it. I will now be passing you your Sect badges. Keep them with you and tomorrow at 8 am, I will take you all to the Sect."
The elder announced as he waved both of his hands diagonally.
A badge appeared in front of everyone and thus they all grabbed it. Right after he gave everyone one last look, he disappeared.
"Finally it's over."
Zhao Luo said lightly while looking at the place where elder dousan was standing a while ago. He looked at the badge.
'It's only missing the marks.'
Zhao Luo thought while looking at the familiar-looking badges. This made him remember the faces of Si Chen and Rose.
The new disciples started going back to the first floor.
Zhao Luo was walking at the end of the group. Feng Mei, Su Shi, and Yan were walking right in front of Zhao Luo.
As he stepped on the first stair going downwards, the space behind him warped.
Zhao Luo could feel a presence behind him but he was the last of the ones who had passed. Right then someone called him.
"Zhao Luo."
A manly voice called his name out.
He turned around to look who it was but he could already guess from the voice as it had only been a day since they had started ways.
"Si Chen where did you come from?"
Zhao Luo was shocked but also glad to see Si Chen.
'Woooosh.'
Rose also appeared next to Si Chen. It was like she had warped there.
"It's the second floor's stairs. It will be invisible to one's eyes until they are guided on the stairs."
Rose explained with a grumpy face.
"Oh, I see. Looks amazing."
Zhao Luo looked hard at the warped space that was turning back to normal but he still couldn't see the stairs leading up to the second floor.
"It's so nice to see you both. Even though it's been a day I missed you a lot."
Zhao Luo smiled while telling them how he was feeling. Zhao Luo stopped his eyes at the veiled Rose. The reunion finally happened.
Rose blushed as she felt Zhao Luo's eyes on her. But then she looked at the three people who were behind Zhao Luo.
"It doesn't look like you missed us."
Rose taunted Zhao Luo as she looked at the three who were equally beautiful but in different ways standing behind Zhao Luo.
