《I got an SSS-Grade unique skill》Chapter 54: Disappearance of the Mysterious Quest

"An S-Grade!"
Adam was stunned for a moment after seeing the quest's grade but was soon pulled out of his fascination as he saw the golden light that came out from the quest board, subsided.
"That light... It did gush out of the room right?!", he thought as he started sweating
Furthermore, he thinks that if the other people learned of the light's origin, then they would surely send someone to the 1st floor.
Thus, immediately, he started running towards the exit of the room, instantly stepping on the teleportation device, transporting his body entirely.
A second later, his view changed from the darkroom to a wide and open area where people have already get crowded.
Various chatter from the Chosen and normal people can be heard throughout.
Also, human silhouettes can be seen forming on the teleportation device of the Chosen Association Building as Chosen that were inside of the building, transport themselves out.
The same thing was the reason why Adam was able to get out of the teleportation device, unnoticed.
He then immediately blend in with people and hides in the crowd.
Soon, a large sound of marching was heard as a multitude of Chosen came into the area. Among them, one group spurs a commotion on the people.
The group walked in an organized manner and wore a dignified look, they were also coated with outstanding equipment which implies their high class.
"Is that Dynamite Guild? Look! their Guild leader is also here!", utters one of the boys near Adam while looking at the man in his 30's that's on the forefront of the group.
Adam then shifted his gaze and looked at the man that the boy was referring to, particularly, Alexander, the leader of the Dynamite Guild...
"Dynamite Guild huh", he muttered

Meanwhile...
As Alexander arrived in the area, he felt an intriguing gaze coming from his side, thus, he shortly turned his head, only to see a crowd, babbling.
As he was tracing the source of the unknown gaze, a voice from his Guild member was heard...
"Guild Master! Here's the brief report on the situation, a golden light had gushed out from the 1st floor of the Chosen Association Building, the source of the light is still a mystery and we haven't deploy anyone as there's no level 101-200 guild member nearby."
As Alexander heard the report, he shortly addressed the situation, ignoring the unknown gaze from earlier, and quickly sent his members on the 1st floor.
Minutes later, human silhouettes were formed on the teleportation device of the building.
Seeing the silhouette, Alexander hastily walked towards the device, promptly asking the Chosen, that's gasping.
"What's the situation?!"
'Gulp'
No response was heard as the Chosen could only gulp each time, intensifying the crowd's desire to know the details.
Silence ensues and only sounds of heartbeats palpitating were heard as everyone waited for the Chosen's response.
At last, words were then uttered by them, as they wore a perplexed look...
"T--the mysterious quest, i--its gone!", exclaimed the Chosen
-------
As an uproar regarding the disappearance of the mysterious quest ignites, the culprit, Adam, on the other hand, had already left the area...
'Pant, pant, pant'
Adam gasped after reaching his room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
He had been nervous since earlier and had been busy blending in with people, to leave no trail of suspicion.
As he reached the room, he instantly heaved a sigh of relief as if a huge burden was lifted off his chest.
"Gladly, the situation was in favor of me!', he utters remembering the scene from earlier where Chosen had simultaneously leave the building with him, giving him the chance to blend in and be left unnoticed.

Soon, he then tried shifting his focus, thus entering the tent in his room, and began his training with Greed that had been inside the tent...
Since Greed couldn't enter the Chosen Association Building as he is not a Chosen, and Adam initially planned to just accept the quest, he didn't ask Greed to come with him earlier and just give him some time to unwind...
-----
An hour later, after his training with Greed, Adam was now sitting on his bed, looking at the quest that he received...
Earlier, he just looked at the quest grade and didn't even have the time to look at its details, and now, as he is gazing at the details, confusion is imprinted all over his face...
[Quest Name: 'What is that Power for?'
Quest Grade: S
Details: A quest given and accepted by Adam Wights.
What is Power for you?
Is it to save the weak?
Or is it to gain fame? or wealth?
Is it to be called a hero? Or be admired by many?
Is it to fulfill your dream of having a sweet romance? Or a harem?
Or is it to rule over others? Or conquer and build your kingdom?
Is it to save, and protect your loved ones?
What is Power for you?
Quest Duration: None
Note: The Chosen can only answer the question once a day.]
"So its asking what Power is for?", Adam thought confusingly as he thought that it was not befitting of its S-Grade as the mission was way too simple.
"It might more than that, right?", he added.
Soon, he started trying it out, quickly uttering his answer.
"Of course, Power is for saving the weak like those in Superhero movies!", he uttered with enthusiasm
At last, a system announcement then resounded...
'Ding!'
[Analyzing the Chosen's answer...]
[Answer: Power is for saving the weak...]
'Ding!'
[The answer is pending]
"What! Is it wrong or not? Why is there no response?", Adam exclaimed after hearing the announcement
And as if to aggrieve him more, the same announcement was heard.
'Ding!'
[The answer is pending]
"Pending? Then when will it be analyzed? Maybe there is some sort of conditions? Indeed a mysterious quest.", he added.
Soon, since he had checked the quest and couldn't scrutinize further, he then slept comfortably as it's already 4:50 in the morning...
Beside him was the 10 million-mana-powered Greed who just sat in a lotus position, with his eyes closed, and seemingly meditating...
------
On the other hand, on the base of Dynamite Guild, Alexander can be seen sitting in his office, having his hands clasped together as he ponders over the event earlier.
Beside him was his assistant and guild member who later on, spoke...
"The culprit behind the disappearance of the mysterious quest is still unidentified, there's no clue nor evidence left on the area, so identifying him/her would be hard.", the assistant uttered
Alexander then sat straight on his chair and looked at nowhere as he pondered...
A minute later, reassurance was imprinted on his face as he said expectantly...
"It seems that we would need the help of Miss Eva on this one"

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017].
