Adam was now on one of the restaurants in Batangas City, he was eating again while absorbing everything that transpired within that night.

In front of him was the 10 million mana-powered Greed, who was eating so princely as he had a napkin tucked on his collar while holding a small knife and a fork, sitting straightly as he ate a small piece of steak.

Adam couldn't think at all as he was distracted by the eating Greed. Soon, he was unable to hold his laughter anymore, thus he laughed so loudly that even customers around him shifted theirs gaze on him.

"WaHahahahah, w-why are you eating like that?!", Adam said while holding at his stomach as he laughed loudly.

He found it extremely funny seeing a bulky man that was 250 cm tall eating so profoundly and princely because at first, he was expecting that Greed would eat tons of food that even dozens of it won't be enough for him, but alas Greed only eat a piece of steak!

Besides, he ate so dignifiedly, unlike Adam's expectation.

He then remembered the way rich ladies from Earth eat their food.

A while later, Greed then answered after resting his knife and fork on the plate entirely...

"This...enough", he responded expressionlessly

"Haha, fine, fine", Adam replied while wiping his teary eyes.

"Thanks, Greed", he added as he was glad that Greed somewhat made him laugh, causing his tangle emotion from earlier to ease up.

He then remembered the scene from earlier that caused him this uneasiness.

An hour earlier.

As he followed the golden thread which he was holding, he was led into the Duke's Manor that was situated in the center of Batangas City.

The area was barricaded with high walls and had knights all over, thus, as Adam saw that it was the area the thread led him to, his excitement got abruptly halted as this could only mean one thing, the extreme thing was inside the Duke's Manor!

"How do I possibly infiltrate this place?!", he thought while looking at the patrolling knights around the area.

Shortly, he started walking closer to the gate of the Manor to take a better grasp of the area, but alas, as he was 10 meters away from the gate, a danger was suddenly felt by him, causing him to gulp unknowingly.

And soon, as if to validate his intuition, a bullet size magic attack came from inside of Manor, going towards him.

Greed on the other hand, immediately moved before Adam, blocking the magic attack with ease.

'Ting!'

"Master...this area...protected..skill", Greed uttered after deflecting the attack

Adam on the other hand, looked at his surrounding, thinking of how powerful could that skill be to enveloped the entirety of the Manor?

'That must be an alarm or precautionary system', he thought after looking at the guards who were not alarmed by the magic attack at all, as if it was a normal sight for them anyway.

Soon, after settling himself, he then glanced at the Manor intimately, mulling over.

A while later, he then started walking away, going back to his apartment.

'Ding!'

Since he couldn't go inside the Manor anyway and had learned the area the extreme thing was at, he let go of the golden thread without hesitation.

Of course, he had a Mask of Emre with him and could just change his appearance to infiltrate the Manor, but right after knowing of the skill's existence that was securing the Manor, he let go of that idea as he knew of such skill's prowess and knew that infiltration won't work at all.

'Soon!', he thought as he firmed his resolve

At last, he started walking away from the area, and just planned to went back again as he gained enough power or skill to infiltrate the Manor forcefully, as though he had a 10 million mana-powered Greed with him, he couldn't attack blindly as he was not well acquainted with the Manor's structure anyway.

Needless to say that he didn't know what item was he looking for anyway.

After eating, Adam and Greed shortly went back to their apartment.

Inside the tent, Adam and Greed practiced for a while before taking a rest.

While doing so, he checked his obtained skill book earlier from his random roulette ticket, namely, Paramount Total Mana Enhancement.

"This skill is indeed good and can be a life-saving skill, especially when I encountered a higher level monster", he thought

Since the skill boosts his total mana by ×1000% upon activation, this skill could indeed be decisive and could alter the flow of the fight once he was in the disadvantageous position.

Needless to say that the skill enhances his mana regeneration rate by ×1000% upon activation.

The only cons of it were that it only has a 1-hour duration, and its temporarily dropped on Chosen's total stats by 90% upon the end of the skill's effect.

Nonetheless, Adam didn't worry that much about the 90% temporary dropped on his stats as he could just command Greed to protect him during that time.

"It's good that this skill book contains only 1 skill", he thought

Last time, he obtained a skill book 'Absolute', which contains 10 skills on it, thus occupying 10 skill slots, leaving him with only 5 remaining skills slots.

And unlike Absolute, Paramount Total Mana Enhancement occupies only 1 skill slot, therefore, as he learned of it, he instantly put the skill book on his chest, abruptly absorbing it.

'That thing, what could it be?', he thought while pondering about the extreme item that's possibly inside the Duke's Manor.

Though he had pondered over it earlier, still, he couldn't get over it as it was so baffling.

'If an SSS-Grade item was possessed by the royalties of this world, then why does such rating still unheard of till now?', he thought as it seems unfit.

Besides, a Chosen could have gone to one of the Duke's Manor before or even on the King's Palace, where such item could be abundant.

'Do they kept it a secret? Or maybe even them don't know of such item's existence?'

'Argggh', muttered Adam as he sat on his bed

Soon, since he couldn't sleep at all, he then planned to reserve a quest in the meantime.

A while later, Adam managed to reach the Chosen Association Building that's deprived of human presence since it was 3:40 in the morning.

Besides, the first floor can only be accessed by level 100-199 Chosen.

As Adam was walking on the first floor, his attention was piqued by the item on the quest board on the corner of the room.

The item was releasing a bright golden light, illuminating the darkroom.

'A quest?', he thought as he got closer to the item, or rather a quest scroll, attached on the quest board.

Soon, he touched the quest scroll, enticing a systems announcement...
