《I got an SSS-Grade unique skill》Chapter 51: New Function: Thread of Extremeness
Advertisement
Unique skill, a mysterious skill owns by a Chosen that is unique on themselves.
A skill that serves as the Chosen's trademark and is incomparable to normal skill.
Unique skill has been a mystery since before. Cause, unlike normal skill which shows its entire effects, and just needed skill points to promote, unique skill starts with only a few or even just one effect at first.
Its function was all hidden and needed ardent enlightenment to unlock. Thus, a unique skill could advance or not based on the Chosen's level of comprehension of the skill.
Of course, there are requirements needed to unlock a certain function of the skill, and so far, discovering those requirements has been a hard feat as no one knew what to do nor where to start.
Cause what if they do a certain action but was rendered insignificant or won't unlock a new function at all? Won't their effort be in vain? Or the time they spent would be deemed a waste of time?
This has been the mindset of some Chosen, thus, they tend to just do things as they normally do, and just let luck decide their unique skill's fate. Besides, some of them were contented with the opened/first effect which undergoes enhancement as they entered a major breakthrough. (Like how Adam's unique skills effect increases from 1 second to 3 seconds of activation).
And same as others, Adam thought similarly. He also planned to just see whether his activity would be aligned to the requirements needed. But alas, he never thought that unlocking would come this early!
Hence, his command was instantly halted as the message rang, causing him to be unable to enhance his 'Robe of Supremacy' at all...
'Ding!'
[ Unique skill 'Extreme Luck' (SSS-Grade) new function has been unlocked ]

As the message rang, Adam's surroundings start to gleam as unknown things started forming around him.
The plain white room inside the tent also began to turn blurry in Adam's view as the unknown thing was seemingly highlighted or was the focus of the whole scene.
Second after, a message rang again...
'Ding!'
[ New Function 'Thread of Extremeness' has been unlocked ]
As soon as the message rang, the unknown things finally took form, and what Adam saw fascinated him...
'A threads!', he thought enthusiastically
The unknown things took the form of threads, with each gleaming with different colors.
There is a thread that glows the most as it releases a bright golden light. There is also the whitish one which releases a meager white light. Also, there are black, light gold, grayish, and brownish color among them.
As Adam saw the threads, he was extremely amazed by the light they were releasing as they came with different levels of brightness.
Of course, he didn't have time to check the new function's details at all as he only had remaining 1 second before Extreme Luck's cooldown, thus, he immediately grabbed the golden thread which releases the brightest light among the threads.
Soon, as he expected, a message rang, signifying the end of the skill...
'Ding!'
[ Unique Skill 'Extreme Luck' is now on cooldown ]
[ Cooldown: 4 and 1/2 days ]
As Adam saw the announcement, he instantly heaved a sigh of relief, as he was relieved that he had managed to hold the thread before the skill's effect could end.
And at this time, an announcement rang again, causing the flabbergasted Adam to widen his eyes from awe.
'Ding!'
[ Thread of Extremeness's effect will now be applied ]
[ Remaining time before the thread fades: 1 day ]

[ Letting go of the thread would result in its fading ]
Simultaneous to the system's announcement, the threads that were surrounding Adam, vanished promptly, like a fire being easily extinguished by water.
The inside of the tent became visible again in his view and as he looked at his hand, there he saw the golden thread that he had grab earlier.
The golden thread is a long thread that is seemingly endless as Adam cant see its other end. He was holding on to the thread which leads to somewhere outside the tent.
'Where could this thread possibly lead me to?', he thought
Soon, he first checked the new function's details...
[ Extreme Luck ( SSS-Grade )
Description: Upon activation, extreme luck would descend to the Chosen within 3 seconds
Cooldown time: 4 and 1/2 days
Effect/s:
- Thread of Extremeness
: upon activation of the unique skill, various threads would appear around the Chosen which releases a brightness that varies on its extremeness. The darker the color or the brighter the light it releases is, the more extreme the thing it leads to.
Time before the thread fades: 1 day (letting go of the thread before the 1-day ends would result in fading of the thread)
Note: The extremeness being referred to is the extremeness of the item/thing the thread leads to ]
After checking the skill's details, Adam instinctively held the thread tighter, afraid of accidentally letting it go.
'It's good that I've grabbed the darker and brighter thread earlier', he thought as heaved a sigh of relief
A while later, he then checked if the thread is visible to others, and gladly, after asking Greed whether he saw the thread or not, the latter's answer delighted him...
"Thread...no", Greed answered
Also, he learned that earlier, as his surroundings turned blurry and the threads appeared all over, Greed didn't see anything unusual at all.
In other words, the threads were visible exclusively to him.
Thus, right after knowing of the skill's detail, he shortly followed the thread, going outside of the tent, and besides him was the 10 million mana-powered Greed who kept his expressionless look, contrast to Adam's face that's imprinted with excitement all over.
-------
After 10 minutes of continuous walking along the streets of Batangas City, Adam finally reached his desired destination, namely, the end of the thread...
And as for what the thread's end leads to? It's an enormous house or rather a Manor, being surrounded by vast walls, that have guards or knights everywhere.
'The Duke's Manor!', Adam thought while looking at the huge Manor that was before him...
------
A/N: I'll be using the English Noble's Title from now on, so Mayor is changed to Duke. -_-

Transmigrated as an NTR’ed protagonist.
WARNING!!! The mc of this novel is weak(mentally) and thus unlikable. The story also has a tag SLOW-PACE. Which means there won't be a lot of actions going on from the get-go.Erlig, a senior in a respectable college lived his whole life without knowing such a word as trouble. Stable life with no accidents, great parents, and a good friend. Gaming was his hobby. But when he tried a new game something happened to him.He was trapped in a new world as the protagonist of this game. The worst is that he was cuckolded, humiliated, and beaten down. Not knowing how this happened he now forced to live a different life. Those things, that looked like fiction in the game turned out to be much more real. He is forced to confront the dark and grimy world that looks much harsher than what he always saw. The only things that left in his changed world, is his meager knowledge of the game and his, own, self.Given such a miraculous opportunity, he is forcibly taken out from his bubble and placed between a choice. To break and fall or to forever change his fate, his life, and everything around him. A little description to give a better understanding of what this story is about. It's my vision on a fusion of Korean fighting manhwas and Korean r-18 romance manhwas with the protagonist that is not typical to those particular works.Author's note: As this is my first novel and English is not my native language any criticism would be appreciated. Release schedule: At least one chapter every week.I also post on Scribble Hub and Webnovel.

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Trying to discover his place in the world, Jerry will live great adventures. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
