It was four years after the disaster struck the entirety of Earth and a million humans gained an unfathomable chance to enter the ' World of Luck! '

They are the first batch of 'Chosen', the next year after the event, on the same day and same time, another million humans also received the same invitation. They were then the second batch of 'Chosen'.

A Third batch of 'Chosen' was then invited the next year. And now, it's December 31, at 11:55 pm, where the fourth batch of 'Chosen' would be selected soon!

People were excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because it was found out that being invited and given access to 'World of Luck' would bring them an indefinite benefit.

Starting from popularity to various boons.

As per observed, 'Chosen' or the people who received an invitation for the past 3 years were deemed successful. There were even those who lived like common people before, but after receiving an invitation, they became successful and renowned in a matter of months!

So being 'Chosen' brings excitement to every people, be it of men, women or even children. The invitation was given randomly and not restricted to age or likes...

And today, where the fourth batch of 'Chosen' would be selected, people stay indoors, together with their family or loved ones, so they could know whether someone from their family was selected. Mainly because once chosen, this would then bring glory to their family itself.

Amidst of this all, on the secluded part of the street, where lights flickered every second and on verge of dying out soon, situated a large trash bin, and a peck of trash placed around it.

The bin was big enough to contain an average size man, and corresponding to this, a 15-16-year-old boy could be seen sleeping inside composedly as if he was sleeping on a luxurious bed.

The boy's name is Adam, he is a 15-year-old boy and reached a height of 170 cm. His hair was kinda messy and looked somewhat curly.

His face was an average-looking one, not that handsome and not that ugly. And in terms of size, he was average also, not that fat nor lean.

Soon, Adam started to open his eyes, as he just woke up from his 'slumber'.

After opening his eyes fully, he didn't do some hygienic stuff directly, as he doesn't have even a toothbrush nor clean water to wash his face.

He just stood up then started searching the wholeness of the bin, hoping that someone threw even a bit of leftover food on it.

After a minute of searching, unfortunately for him, he didn't find any food. So he just leans on the bin, closes his eyes, and comforts his growling stomach.

'I won't eat again today, same with the other day.' he thought.

He was used to it, but at the same time, he was still not immune to this feeling, cause who would be, right?

Soon, after closing his eyes and forcing himself to deep sleep, a 'ding' sound pierces his ears, causing him to open his eyes quickly!

' Ding '

[You received an invitation to enter the World of Luck!]

After looking at the holographic message before him, an excited expression can be seen in his eyes.

Adam was not shocked at this message as he knew that when a person was invited to World of Luck, they will first undergo a trial where they can familiarize themselves with this worlds' danger!

But familiarization was not the only purpose of this trial, cause this trial will also decide the unique skill of a person which served as his starter skill!

It was concluded that the higher the number of monsters that you killed or the greater your performance is, the higher your rating would be!

And the higher the rating, the greater chance of having a powerful unique skill!

So Adam was enthusiastic about obtaining a great result. He may not have faced any monster before, but he encountered people with monstrous personalities. So considering it, he deduced that he will do good on this trial…
