《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1954: The Reward II

"Now?" I asked her, I thought she would make a solution for me, and I would use it in its safety of my home, not here in front of some crazy teenage spirit/AI.
"Yes, now, every second you waste talking, you are losing a precious opportunity; as I had said, this solution is only good for an hour," She said snappingly. 'Chill out, will you!' I said in my mind before I started to remove my clothes, leaving only my boxers on me.
"Remove that too; even a single piece of clothing will impede you from getting full benefits of the solution," she said, and she motioned her dainty finger at my boxer.
I looked at her, and she looked back; a second later, I sighed and removed my boxers too, getting completely naked before stepping into the solution, which is inside the pool made of the formations.
Drip Drip Drip!
Above the pool, four palm-size bowls made of formation are floating, holding a different colored liquid that will release a drop into the pool every thirty seconds.
As I had stepped inside the solution, I felt warm, comfortably warm; a perfect temperature you like to have you want to soak into the bath. To be honest, I am quite surprised to feel such a comfortably warm sensation; I thought I would feel the soul-binding pain.
"Circulate the Supreme Seal Method to absorb the solution," She said the moment I had submerged in a solution. She is referring to Supreme Combat Exercise; the method had many names, and the supreme seal method is one of them.
I took a deep breath and started circulating supreme combat exercise with Inheritance energy and bloodline. First, I did not feel anything but second passed, and circulation proceeded; I saw energy energies of solution in circulation getting hotter and hotter.

For the half minutes, it was just uncomfortable before it became painful, but I have the habit of enduring the pain, and I continued.
'Ehhhh…'
A minute passed by, and now I am closing my eyes and clenching my teeth; it felt like I was not circulating the energy but boiling oil through my veins, and this old would get hotter and hotter and spread through all my body.
I wanted to stop, but I continued, I don't know whether I would get the benefits she had said I would, but I am willing to believe her. I would be ecstatic if I got half of the benefits she said I would get.
I fully understand the importance of every bit of strength at this stage; it is not a fight for the enemy but for future potential.
It is the reason why everyone is trying to push hard in the Emperor stage, so when leveling up to the Tyrant stage, they will not only get massive power from the beginning, but they will also progress fast and feel fewer obstacles.
It is even more important to me; the greater the strength I would accumulate while being the Emperor, the safer I would be during my core formation, a process I might not survive if I did not take all the precautions.
I need to check all the boxes; that would make the process as much easier for me as possible.
So, I circulated despite the inhuman pain I was feeling, and as I did that, I continued to create one seal after another.
I did not focus on them; these seals would not provide me many benefits; the only seal that could do is a diamond seal.
If I had my eyes opened, I would have been able to changes that are happening in my body. My muscles are shaking, and as they did, the coppery color emerging on them, it is like someone is hammering on my body, reforging it.

The thing that would have surprised me most would have been an apparent shock in the eyes of the spirit as she looked at the coppery hue that appeared on my body and getting denser by the minute.
The shock soon disappeared from the eyes of the spirit, and a twinkle appeared. If I had seen it, I would have shudder incomparably by it.
Time passed by, and half an hour passed by; in half an hour, bowls have been half empties, but the color of solution I am in remained the same. It is evident that I am absorbing the energies in the solution, and the same rare the drops are falling down, and I am maintaining that speed, despite each circulation being harder than the other.
I had lost myself in circulation, and it is not a one-time thing like an epiphany; after going through many painful experiences since I had started practice, I had learned to block other things, even extreme pain became a secondary thing.
It took me years to get such a focused mind, and it had been extremely beneficial to me, not only in practice but also in studying and working. The extreme focus blocks everything else and lets me focus on my thoughts on a single thing.
Such extreme focus is not a good thing seeing the chances of successful assassination are greater during such a moment, but I still love my ability; its benefits far outweigh its disadvantages.
Time passed by when suddenly, I came to myself when I noticed boiling oil-like energies losing their head and their density before they had disappeared entirely.
It made me open my eyes, and I saw the floating bowl in front of me was completely empty; it is the case for the other three bowls as well. I had just looked at them when suddenly, I noticed a coppery sheen on my body which was disappearing by the second.
I couldn't help but be surprised seeing it; it wasn't my first seeing it. I had seen it once before; I had tried searching for it in the Hermes library, but the section about it was locked, and library spirit did not open despite me requesting her.
"Congratulation, you have used your reward fully, without wasting an ounce of energy," the spirit said, bringing me to reality and also reminding me, I am completely naked in a solution that had become transparent as water.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction. A Cleric's Life for me.
This is a casually written story loosely based on TTRPG games like DnD and Pathfinder. The attempt of the story is to have a slow growth in power and comical set of characters who eventually grow close and set off for more serious adventures. There will be plenty of familiars and funny tales that don't involve combat. The intention is not to be a goody-two-shoes cleric story where nothing bad happens. The intention for this story was a slow paced grungy story where everything seemed great at first and things just kept getting worse. I learned how shitty of a story that is to write and honestly I am just not good enough to get the idea down. I plan on revisiting it later.
