《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1840: Resistance

'My body is really resisting,' I said as I activate one of the mask functions after I changed my appearance.
The mask does not only help in changing appearance; one could also see every part of one's body through it. In this function, it is slightly better than Riverbed; regretfully, only the user could see it as it can not to projected.
I could see every part of my body and could tell what baptism of divine fire had done and it is amazing.
Currently, only something like Divine Fire and Diamond Seal could help me with advancement; other regular resources would be no use to me.
This resistance is one of the reasons why the Emperors could not match the Tyrants in power; they have to become Tyrants to do that.
This resistance will keep increasing till even the resources like Diamond Seal and Divine Fire won't be able to help. I had reached very close to that stage, one more diamond seal, and I won't be able to increase the limit.
Still, it is fine by me; the baptism of divine fire had increased the limit of my body and also of honeycomb, which now could fill nearly four times more energy than the original, one more diamond seal or divine fire baptism and the size will four times, which is my target.
I have to create the fourth diamond seal as soon as possible; that time, cells of honeycomb will widen it enough that I will have a hope of getting the power of Elite Tyrant while still being an Emperor.
I checked my condition for ten minutes more before I picked up things of fanatic and cleaned the battlefield before moving away.
The fanatic was quite powerful; it had brought me to my knees. If not for my vines, I would have to take the last option, and that would have meant running away and giving up on the fanatic which had such juicy bloodline and divine fire; I am very glad it had not come to that; otherwise, I would not have received such amazing benefits.

Now, with my strength further increased, it is time to hunt another Grimm Monster. It would be great if I find Grimm Monster with a juicy bloodline like Bugman, better if I am able to find someone with an even more powerful bloodline.
With such positive thoughts, I begin to scour through the Lawrance hills, search for the Grimm Monsters with a powerful bloodline.
First, I was quite excited, but as time passed, my excitement begin to deflect, and by the time the tenth hour rolled on, frustration was clear on my face. It had been eleven hours since I had killed the Bugman, but I had not found the single Grimm Monster with bloodline.
I wanted to go out of Lawrence Hill's to hunt them, but I did not. It is my mission, and even though I love to fill my honeycomb as soon as possible, I will not discard my mission for it.
There may be no Grimm Monster with bloodline present at the Lawrence Hills right now, but some will soon come, and I will fight them. Till then, I will have to continue with my mission and hope for the best.
An hour later, I had stopped; the reason is Grimm Monster but not Bloodline Grimm Monster. It is an above-average Grimm Monster; looking by its aura, it seemed to be slightly weaker than the Bugman I had fought a few hours ago.
I moved toward the were a werewolf, and when I entered its range, it stopped and came at me with blinding speed before stopping in front of me.
"A human finally!" It exclaimed with joy. "It had been nearly two days since I had entered this forest, but I had not found a single one of you. For a moment, I thought if you guys have run away," It said while licking its lips while looking at me.

"How can we run away till we wiped each and every one of you," I said back. "Fiesty, I like it. I hope you will have the same feistiness when I eat you piece by piece," It said. "We will see if you have the capabilities for it," I said back with a smile.
"You don't have to worry about my capabilities; I will show them to you soon," It said, and a powerful aura blasted off it, and it came at me at blurring speed.
"Claws of Smigen!" It roared and attacked.
Two huge brown phantoms of claws surrounded its huge claws. Forget tearing me apart; these claws would crush me to a pulp by their sheer size. If this bastard uses this attack in the middle of the battlefield, it could easily clear tens of powerhouses by a second; unfortunately, it would not get that chance.
I did not move from my spot, nor did I take out my sword as it came at me; I remained on my spot with a smile on my face.
Seeing me weirdly behaving, an uncomfortable look appeared on the werewolf's face, and I could see the struggle on its face to stop the attack, but that thought had failed to move it as it continued with its attack.
It is quite unfortunate that he did not go with that thought. If it had, it would have been able to live a couple of seconds longer.
"Die Human!" It roared as it appeared in front of me and swung its giant phantom claws at me. They look quite scary, by the way.
Suddenly, the claws stopped when they were a meter away from me, and my vines appeared, covering one-fourth of its body. I released my vines before I even saw it, and all those seconds I had wasted talking it because I wanted to bind it.
The vines have covered 25% of its body, which is enough. My vines are heavily baptized by the divine fire, more than my body and soul, as they were the carrier for it.
Their strength and binding power had multiplied, that now, even covering a quarter of Grimm Monster powerful as this werewolf enough to bind it tightly that it won't even able twitch its fingers.

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place.
