《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1787: Mist City

Eight hours later, I came out of my abode feeling completely refreshed. I had a good sleep, and all my rule-bending power had been recharge; I could now continue with my journey toward the meeting spot.
Chew Chew!
Ashlyn chirp from the sky, and this time for real, her chirping means there are no Grimm Monsters in our immediate vicinity.
After getting direction from Ashlyn, I summoned my armor and started to run. Running is the best way, though flying would be fast, it is more discoverable, and I don't want to be discovered by the Grimm Bastards in this ruin.
As run I through, I noticed the place where I am moving has slightly dense ruin energy than the places I had been. Which is good; though I had summoned the armor, I did not see completely sealed it; the energies of the runes are coming to my armor.
I even created a small suction to take more ruin energies, I wanted to create an even bigger suction, but that would just attract attention.
Two hours passed quickly, and I had only come across only one Grimm Monster, which I avoided. It was an average one, and I would have fought it if not for it had no bloodline, and I don't want to take the risk of being discovered just for the essence rose.
I had now come to an area where the Ruin energy is thrice denser than before, and this area is also filled with lots and lots of collapsed buildings.
This ruin had already gone to at least one other world before it came to ours; everything here had been picked clean. There is nothing important here. If not for that, the Pyramid and Supremes would not have let fall into Grimm Monsters hands easily.
Still, now and then, I would go into relating good condition building to check whether there is something useful inside, but till now, I have found nothing except for scraps of artifacts which I have no interest in picking.

Three more hours passed; in these three hours, I had come across two Grimm Monsters, invaded the chase of another powerful monster who was able to sense me. It is a good thing I have Ashlyn; otherwise, I would have been running for my life right now.
A few minutes later, I had stopped on a cliff of a small mountain. I had removed the paper map from my storage and looking at it.
In front of me, there are two routes; one is a long route, other is a short route. The long route is safer while the short route is dangerous, but it will save me a day of travel. The thing that makes me hesitate is that I will have to cross the place known as mist city.
The place is called Mist City because the huge collapsed city is covered in a dense Red-Grey mist. This mist is a kind of Ruin Energy that is not denser but also filled with dense Killing Intent that even affects the Tyrant.
But the mist is not the most dangerous thing in the city, but the wraith-like beings that roam it, they are said to be very hard to deal with. They will burrow into your and attack one's soul with the powerful mad killing intent as the same time, the physical part of energies will attack the physical body and turned you into mush from inside.
It is a dangerous route, but it will save me a day of travel. I thought for a while before started to run down toward huge Mist city, which is just twenty-something miles in front of me.
On the way, I did not spot any monsters, but there was one patrolling Grimm Monster Tyrant whom I avoided.
These bastards are everywhere; seeing how many Grimm Monsters I had seen patrolling and the size of this ruin, I think there are surely more than fifty Grimm Monsters here, and with such numbers, there is sure a Leader Class Tyrant.

A few minutes later, I reached closer to the Mist City and felt a powerful lacerating sensation spreading into my body, and killing intent powerful than usual is attacking my mind.
There is a faint amount of Red-Grey energy here, but it is still able to affect me to this degree; then, I wonder what will happen when a thick, powerful mist entered inside me. It looks like a plan of using Red-Grey mist for advancements would not work, I thought with a sigh and grudgingly sealed my armor so that not a speck of Red-Grey energy come inside me.
Not only that, but I had also begun to emit the aura of Red-Grey energy from my body. In the previous upgrade, I had hugely improved the aura copying formation; now, not only does it imitate the aura better, it now requires less Rule Bending power than before, which is great.
After making my preparation, I walked toward Mist City, which is barely a mile away from me. My plan is simple, walk outskirt of it and get out of here as soon as possible.
I had chosen to walk through the city to save the time of traveling and not to get any benefits; as long as I do not forget that, I would be able to get out of the city in few hours completely unscathed.
Soon, I was at the gate of the which strangely is one most intact structures I have seen in this ruin; I looked at for a moment before entered inside into dense Red-Grey mist.
'Heavy,' Is the thought that came into my mind, this red grey mist strangely heavy. Even if it not coming at me, it still felt heavy; it felt like I am walking in the water and not through the open space.
The aura I am emitting seemed to have worked as well; the energies are moving around me, totally ignoring me. Seeing that smile couldn't help but appear on my face as I begin to make my way toward the outskirt of the city.
