《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1572: Supression Tide I

Her killing intent is enough to tell me how serious she is about killing me. If I did not give her what she wants, she would not hesitate to launch the fatal attack on me as she had said.
"How many humans have you killed here?" I asked; my question seemed to me had caught her off guard as this is not the question I, Sam Duffy, would ask in such a scenario.
She looked at me sharply at my question before her face cracked, and she begins laughing madly.
"Hahaha… Asking me such question, since when did you become such saint?" she asked while laughing madly.
She laughed for quite a while before she suddenly stopped and looked at me seriously.
"I am going to kill you now that you have asked that question, and since I am going to kill you, I don't mind satiating your curiosity," she said as she gripped my neck at lightning speed; her movements were amazingly fast.
She Gripped my neck with her meaty fingers and brought me closer till there is barely a distance of five meters between our eyes; we are close, that I could smell peachy flavor bubblegum she is silently chewing in her mouth.
"Listen well, little Sam, it is the last thing you are going hear before you die,"
"Till now, I had killed two hundred and thirty-one people; I had killed most of them in ruins, but I had killed some in outside, even killed three in the premise of my organization, and since I came here, I had killed twenty-nine people," she said with a grinning smile.
I am shocked hearing such count; her confession said that she only killed little more than ten people, but in reality, she had killed ten times more of that.

I am utterly shocked and immediately made my mind that if in the future, I had the power to influence how the world works, I will make rules to execute such monsters.
No matter what their level, even if they are Tyrants. If they committed needless murders, they would be executed; there will be no forgiveness for them.
"Now that you heard my confession, it is time for you to die!" she said with a grin and clutched her meaty fingers to crush my neck, but no matter how hard she pressed them, no sound of cracking came from my neck; it is like my neck is made of iron.
Puchi!
"A monster like you truly deserved to die," I said, and the sound of piercing came out.
The meaty fingers on my through loosen a little beat as Reagan looked down at her chest, where she found red, green vine piercing her chest.
She did not see a burning green chain but a delicate diamond vine of mine which had become famous across the whole world.
"You," she said as the blood bubble out of her throat as a flash of recognization appears in her eyes.
I could have used the fiery chain to finished her or directly hacked her head apart instead of risking my identity and using my vines, but I did.
I did it because I wanted her to know it is me who killed her, and it is also for me; I did not want to kill her with the identity of a criminal but my own.
A few seconds later, all the life disappeared from her eyes. She is dead; from now on, she will not be able to commit any crime.
A silver fire released from my hands and burned her; within ten seconds, her body turned to ash while the artifact and the clothes she was wearing remained intact without the slightest damage.

I let her ashes flew by the wind before picking up her storage and walked away.
As I looked at her storage when all the things inside were sorted out, I was shocked by the sheer amount of things she has here; it is more than ten times what Grimm Monster had in its storage.
In her storage, there are barely any normal resources; all the resources she had are rare and precious, and there are even some extremely precious resources that, seeing them, my eyes begin to shine.
Seeing there are no regular resources in her storage, she likely had traded them for rare resources back in the city; otherwise, her storage would have filled with much more resources.
She had been here for two years; in that time, she would have not only robbed and killed fellow humans, but she would also kill many Grimm Monsters in these past two years.
The quality of resources inside her storage is proof that she had killed a lot of humans and Grimm Monster.
There is also a mountain of mana crystals which is very welcome; due to me harvesting Grimm Monsters into roses, I did not have the luxury to waste Grimm Monsters for the mana crystals but now that I had got them from her, I am quite happy.
'Chew Chew Chew'
I was checking the resources when I heard the familiar chirp in my mind; it is from Ashlyn.
"Hun!" I let out a surprise as I understood what she means; I had first thought she had found me Grimm Monster to fight, but it is not the case; what she found was something more crazy.
A suppression tide is coming, and within five minutes, it will reach where I am.
Supression tides are a regular occurrence; there are at least two to three of them every month, and if the month is particularly bad, the number goes to six to nine supression tides a month.
Supression tides are dangerous; a low-level one would suppress the strength of body, soul, and energy, but a high-level one would turn even Emperor a puddle.
These tides are unusually fast and hard to predict, and they kill people, especially the medium and high-level ones; the low-level ones just injure the Emperors if they are to week.
If they have above-average balanced strength, they could bear the suppression tide without getting injured.
As to what grade this tide is, Ashlyn couldn't tell, nor she cares about it; as always, the suppression here did not affect her, but she did say, I will be able to bear the tide without any injuries, which is quite a relief.

The Way of Wrought Earth, or: My Tale of Rebirth as a Mostly Inanimate Rock
Mirage Winter. Second Clause, current act. A Relic Hunter's life is harsh — and often short — in the shattered lands of the Frontier. But when Whitelight reemerges, a legendary blade capable of separating anything the user wills it to cut, a newly formed unit organized of Hunter’s both young and old (and sediment based, in a particular case) vow to stop it from falling into cruel hands. Standing against them is the Frontier itself: the unbridled wrath of global federations, fellow Hunters, and those who lurk in the shadows of giants. As the world races to unravel a history desperately concealed, a semi-sapient rock soon realizes that some things are better off dead and buried — especially when those secrets carry an insidious corruption with no cure. Iteration: Mirror-glass Stars in Iron Oceans. First Clause. A soul wakes up as a rock, clinging to fragmented memories and knowledge of another era. What fate awaits such a creature? No, this isn't satire. Yes, I am dumb enough to try to take this seriously. Updates Wednesday, Friday with a variable amount of chapters. This story is not recommended for the easily disturbed. This is your only warning.

THE HYBRID
A young man wakes up in an abandonned place with no memories, but bits of curious knowledge. There are a lot of things for him to learn and discover about the world he woke up in, and a few things about himself. -I just wanted to write a little story about a mc OP from the start, and who does whatever he wants, good things and bad things alike. -There isn't anything particular planned, just the mc going here and there, doing this and that, meeting this person or that person, fighting this or that... -This is just a side project for me, something to forget a bit about the rest, nothing serious, occasional updates when I'm in the mood... -Inspired from differents westerns and easterns web novels with strong grey/dark protagonists. Mature content (language, gore, violence, sex).

Star God
An ancient, ageless entity of magic intertwines with the essence of a tribal hero and a god is born. In a land where the worship of any entity is banned and punishable by mass-execution, the young and idealistic deity must come to terms with the ugliness of humanity, and find a way for his flock to survive, and maybe even thrive. A young man born into a mountain tribe treads the path of a hero, but he must learn the extent to which he would go to keep his people and their fledgling god safe and happy. Enemies are everywhere, and to defend their way of life, they must learn to harness the power of magic. Others are ahead of them in this regard, so they must act fast if they are to survive. A Xianxia-esque magic system, but with a focus on Western-style spellcasting and mysticism. This is more or less a deconstruction of classical fantasy and pantheons. The story focuses on two main characters; a God and a hero who serves him. Kingdom building themes are prevalent. If you like it, please remember to rate and review.
