《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1482: Empire Of Mist II

"Empire of Mist," Matron Mavis said in slight surprise; nearly everyone who is watching is shocked seeing it; the most shocked are the ones from the Mistson; they looked they could not believe the thing that is happening in front of them.
Other people only saw an illusionary trick of Mist, but these people saw something else.
"Mavis, do you remember that battle when Lord Leonard Mars used Empire of Mist?" Patriarch Bradford said, his voice sounded quite emotional.
Other's got quite surprised hearing his emotional voice as; usually, it is neutral, there is also a respectable tone in his voice when he said 'Lord Mars,' he is one of the most powerful men of the world, more powerful than leaders of Supremes and Pyramid, whom he called 'Little boy, little girl' without much respect.
"Of course I remember, four hundred years ago The First Great War we both fought,"
"The last battle of Parched Great War, the Grimm Monsters were massacring us like grasses, it would have been complete Massacre of us if not for Lord Mars using Empire of Mist using every shred of his lifeforce, the Grimm Monsters would have massacred us to last life," Matron Mavis said with very emotional voice.
"Yes, the Empire of Mist that Lord Mars used was glorious," Patriarch Bradford said with a sigh before looked directly into the eyes of Mistson, who had a proud expression on his face as Leonard Mars that these old monsters are talking with respect was his direct ancestor.
"What are you feeling proud for the brat? If Lord Mars had been in your place, he would have cut off the tumor that fostering in his body even if it had cost him his arms,"
"That man has the courage while you lot could only squabble in your petty politics," Patriarch Brandford snaped before he turned to watch the arena.
"Little Lenora, this little girl is the second person since Lord Mars inheriting Empire of Mist, right?" Patriarch Brandfort asked the middle-aged woman beside him, who is also the current leader of the Bloodsum.

"Yes, Patriarch, after four hundred only two people able to bring out Empire of Mist, first was Annabel Michealson who you know what happened to and this is Joana Michealson, her niece," Lenora informed respectfully.
"We also think that it is because her aunt Annabel Charleston is responsible for awakening Empire of Mist from her Inheritance," she added.
"Empire of Mist always needed the help of those who possess it to awaken but even with the help, barely one person as the century was able to awaken it." "Lord Mars had awakened it on his own, and so did this Annabel Charlson,"
"Mistson would have had another great leader like Lord Mars since its creation; very few people able to awaken Empire of Mars on their own and those who did become exceptional leaders of their generation," Patriarch Bradford said softly before his eyes became intense that made the middle-aged women shudder visibly.
"Mistson is not my organization, and I could not do anything about it, but Bloodsun is mine, and I shall not let it became the festering ground for snakes that eats their own,"
"You may play politics and fight for resources but keep in mind that it should not be cross against the ethos of Bloodsun, if there are any snakes hatched in my home, I will eradicate them from the face of the world that even their children would forget they had even existed," he said and looked at every person sitting around him, all of them shuddered visibly when they came under his gaze.
"I will not let any snakes fester in the Bloodsun Patriarch; you have my word on it," Lenora May said solemnly, and the patriarch nodded in approval.
Pachak!
Arnold's sword cut through the waist of Joana, drawing out a spray of the blood which had turned to Mist just when it was about to touch him.
Like the blood, the body had also been turned to Mist which spread around the arean, the arena; the arena had already become misty, though one can still see through it, the Mist is becoming denser by the second.

By the minute it is over, the density of Mist would rise considerably, and that time he will have a problem.
The Empire of Mist is one of the select few Grand Arts in the world; even among those Grand Arts, it is one of the best. It came with Core Inheritance of Mistson, which is also the name of the Inheritance, but not everyone could awaken it from their Inheritance.
It is a legendary ability of Mistson, and while it is not an offensive type of Grand Art, it far harder to deal with than many offensive Grand Arts, especially when its Mist domain activates.
"Hehe!"
Two more minutes have passed, and both Milo and Arnold kept trying, but they could not find Joana no matter how much they tried, and worst thing this whole arena filled with dense Mist that even after using their most powerful eye methods, they could not seem much in Mist and their other senses including soul sense have been heavily suppressed by it.
"Milo, why don't you help me finish Arnold? It will be much better than finding me throughout the Mist," Joana asked, first time speaking since the battle started, till now; she had been only laughing every time with tried killing her fake mist body.
"Milo!" Arnold protested from a distance.
"Why should I help you? You will not be able to support the Empire of Mist Forever," Milo asked back, feeling totally in control, seeing both participants needed his help.
"You are right; I could not support the Mist for more than two hours, but an hour is enough,"
"You must have heard about the traps that Empire of Mist could create; I just have to make you fall into the traps, and I am sure Arnold will take a chance at you; after all, we both belong to the same organization, no petty hate bigger than the glory of having two members of the organization in the Top 10," Joana said while keeping the conversation private with the help of her Mist.
"He would never," Milo said, "If you want to believe that, then go ahead," Joana said while making shackles of Mist and tried to bind Milo, but he was too fast and moved away before she could do anything to him.
"Fine, I will help you defeat Arnold," Milo said after a second of thinking pros and cons; the main reason he accepted her offer because he with Arnold out, he will have one less competitor in the top 10; as for Joana, she is no threat, she is very tricky to deal with.
"Good, let's finish, Arnold!" Joana said, and next second, Milo could see everything, and suppression on his other senses and strength is also gone; though it is still there, it is not affecting him.
For the next fifteen minutes, the audience heard loud sounds of attacks and their aura; the aura was so powerful that it made them shudder; it is the first fight the monsters are showing their real strength, but unfortunately, they could not see anything due to the Mist.
Twenty minutes after the battle started, the colorless forcefield turned yellow for a moment, and all the aura's stopped, the forcefield only yellow when someone touched it, and since there are only three people in arean and someone had touched it, it means it game over for one, and they have the winners of first groups.
"The Winners are Milo Jackson and Joana Michealson," Marla announced before the Mist was even cleared.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
