《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1145. Healing II

"Ahhhh…"
The screams started to ring out again, and as the vines began to spread into the bodies of patients before starting the extraction. I've become even more merciless than before. I have not only stopped holding back, I've even started to go faster.
It made the process even more painful, but nothing I could about it; it is the only way to save the maximum patients.
It had been three hours since I came to the ward and started healing; the rest of the healers in the Ward have got used to such intense screaming that are they now doing their job without any problem.
Still, the healers in the Ward may have got used to it, but those outside the ward did not.
These patients screaming blood murder had attracted a lot of attention; in charge of the ward have to put a couple of enforcers at the door to stop unnecessary people are coming in.
The healing is going well, but there are too many patents, all the beds in Ward are full; whenever a bed got emptied, it occupied within a few seconds, the battle outside is still raging, and many Cursemasters are cursing the people at large.
I am still fine and would continue healing; since my first healing, I focused on refining seeing how much energy I needed for healing, and now I could refine my Inheritance energy while I heal.
Though, the speed of refining is not that great, it is enough to support my continued healing.
The roses started to bloom, and with my assistance that is what I am calling the Peak Duke enforcer who is helping me is cutting and storing the Cursed Roses in the boxes, I've provided him.
First, he was quite fearful while cutting the Cursed Roses, their aura is quite intense, and a normal duke could not handle them. After he got the hang of his job, his speed increased, and now as soon as the Rose Bloomed he would cut it and stored it in the box.

As for Charlotte, she could be said to be doing good for a rookie. For the first two hours, she fumbled quite a lot and nearly killed a few patients, but in the past hour, she had found her rhythm and was now slowly healing the patients.
She is currently focused on the healing Lord Level patents, and she is healing three to four of them by the hour. The speed is good, but it is nothing compared to mine, unlike the conventional healer. I did not focus on destroying the curse.
I simply extract it; it takes a lot less energy to do that. But healers can't do what I am doing. I can do extraction due to my Curse Constitution; without it, I could have had to heal the curse in the same old-fashioned way.
Few more hours passed by, and the evening came, and the battle outside seemed to have reached its last leg. Battles intensity increased, and with it, the number of patients. I had to stretch myself to the utter limit of myself to keep pace.
Not only me but other healers are doing the same, and this is just Level 4 Battle. I wonder how these people deal when there is Level 5 or above the battle. They might simply get overwhelmed.
The healers are always very scarce; there are not only very few people who have the talent for healing; there are also very few healing Inheritances compared to fighting Inheritances, which produced the scarcity of the healer.
I again unceremoniously pulled out vines from the bodies of patients as I finished extracting the curse and moved the vines to another group of patients.
These patients have seen what is happening and are literally shaking in fear, but nobody moved away or attacked the vines when it pierced through their stomachs.
My methods may be extremely painful, but I am very fast and efficient; I am at least twenty times faster than any healer of my stage and at least ten times faster than those above my stage.

If they want to heal as quickly as possible, especially the serious ones who do not want to die during the treatment, they come to me.
In the past few hours, some kind of understanding that had developed between all the healers. The most serious patients that might die any minutes are being sent to my direction.
As soon as I finished healing, enforcers would quickly shift beds and bring the most serious one in my range so that I could heal them.
This process had saved a lot of lives and freed many healers, so they could focus on the other patients that are not so close to dying without feeling any tensions.
Around 11:00 PM, the battle is finally over, the Grimm Monsters have retreated, but work has not been finished. The patients kept coming; these patients are those who kept fighting despite being cursed and patients from other wards whose condition has become serious.
Our ward is not the only one taking the patients; there are tens of others, they start bringing patients to our wards, especially to me, and I continue to heal them despite feeling immensely tired.
Healing is a very stressful task; not only do I have to heal, but I also have to continuously keep refining the inheritance energy that I will need for the healing. It is extremely tiring work, but I am also benefiting from it.
I am making money as I am healing; those Cursed Roses have become a very important resource to the Academy. They are handy tools for research and teaching.
In just a week of me starting producing them, they added these roses into the healer's curriculum. Teacher has given me a quota for these Roses, I have to send these roses in fixed numbers back to the academy.
Till now, I have already produced thousands of roses. Each Lord gives me two to three roses and dukes Duke six to seven with their grade being higher.
With me healing more than a thousand patients till now, my assistant have already collected more than five thousand roses, which means I have already finished a quarter of my quota for the Academy.
The teacher had said that I had to send at least twenty thousand Cursed Roses back to back to the Academy every month. I first thought it would be a very hard target to fulfill, but now I don't think the target is that hard; it would not even take me a week to fulfill it.
These are other benefits I am receiving through this continued healing. My refining speed is increasing in this tense environment; if I am not wrong, then it has increased by a whopping 20%, which huge number. It had made me very ecstatic.
All the moves in Rose Domination require a huge amount of energy; the more energy I will refine, the more moves I will be able to use in battle. It is such a great thing for me.
Time passed by, and I continued healing, I again finished with another badge and moved my vines toward another, but to my surprise, no beds moved when I looked around and found the ward is nearly empty of patients.
There are only twenty-some patients who have remained in the Ward, and they are Prince Stage which I could not heal.

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
