"Just half an hour more!"
I muttered under my breath; I am not planning to enter the Mariana Hill directly. I am planning to linger around at its boundary for one to two days, fight some Grimm monsters to get the idea about their power before entering inside.
If I enter directly just reading the information provided by the Guild, then I would be the biggest idiot.
This mission, unlike any other mission I've ever done, here stakes are very high. The slightest mistakes on my part and could get me drowned under the attack of the hundreds of Grimm monsters.
So I must be as cautious as possible, so I would not make any silly mistake and lose my life like an idiot.
I have already decided on the location of my landing. That place has been flashing on the holographic map projected in front of me, minutes passed by and soon we reach the destination, seeing that, I jumped out of Ashlyn and asked her to revert back to her original size.
She had been flying for fourteen hours straight, though she is not much tired, she is still a little tired and needs some rest before she could return to her peak.
We have done quite a great thing; we have crossed the distance that needs at least a day in fourteen hours and mind you; this is not Ashlyn's Peak speed but her regular speed, which did not take much of her stamina.
If she had flown with her peak speed, then four hours would be more than enough to reach here.
As I was flying down to land on the biggest hill in the area, I heard the faint sound of fighting from the down below. Feeling curies, I covered myself in the Killing energy and flew downward slowly.

When I got close enough, I was able to see what was happening below, and emotions of anger couldn't help but arouse in my heart.
Below me, I saw fifty-something Grimm Monsters fighting against seven Humans, but that is not what angered me, the thing that had angered me is that there are sixty to seventy humans are in the corner in a wretched state.
They are bound with magical chains, and their clothes are torn from every angle, clear whip marks could be seen from their bodies as most of them are fresh and bleeding slightly.
It is very clear that the Grimm monsters have captured these humans, and now they are taking them to their camps before they will shift them to their main base. This is the way; they supply humans to their main camps.
Currently, Seven humans are fighting the whole fifty-something Grimm monsters, and their condition also is very bad. The Grimm Monsters have completely surrounded them and are attacking them from all sides.
I could sense the power of both groups and could tell that these seven humans would die without a doubt if help if someone did not help them as there is a clear power difference between them.
All the humans are peak Five Star Silver Elite with their leader being Initial Six Star Silver Elite while the Grimm monsters ranged from Four Star Silver Elite to Peak Six StarSilver Elite, there is a clear power difference between the two.
Sup Sup Sup...
I watched the fight for a few seconds before I flew down a little more and stopped. I took out my red sword from my storage and started swinging it at blurring speed, and with each swing, a red thread would come out of the red sword.
Within eleven seconds, I swung my sword fifty-two times before stopping and watched beautiful but deadly silver threads go down.
"Bang Bang Bang…"

'We are dead, we are dead..' I couldn't help but repeat this in my mind as I defend the attacks of Grimm monsters. Every second's tens of attacks crashing on my shield and half of them would injure me and my teammates even more.
We are gravely injured and only hanging on through the sheer will, or I might say, due to the mercy of the Grimm Monsters. If they wanted to, they would have killed us minutes ago with the strength and numbers they have, but they did not; they wanted to have some fun with us before capturing us like the people we have come to rescue.
It is all my fault, it is me who brought my team to rescue these people, Kevin had said that handling these Grimm Monsters might be beyond our limit, but I did not listen saying even if we can't deal with them, we will have an ability to retreat.
Retreat hun? That would be simply impossible; I could tell that these three Grimm Monsters that are powerful enough to kill me in a few attacks, even if I stake my life for my teammate's retreat, I don't think they will be able to run away more than a few meters.
Though this plan is useless and will not work, I am still going to try as this is the only way I could think of, which gave them the slightest chance to survive.
"I am going to try my best to engage these three Grimm Monsters, you guys try your best to escape in that time," I said to my teammates softly.
"There is no use Stephen; we know we are doomed. There is no way we would safely escape even if we sacrifice ourselves; we should use the last remaining bit of power to kill some Grimm Monsters before dying." Kevin.
I was about to reject that when Kira stopped me, "Kevin is the right team leader, there is no chance we will be able to escape, so might as well kill some Grimm Monster before we die." Kira said.
She is right and there is no way in hell we are going to survive, then we might use our death to kill some Grimm Monsters.
I steeled my heart and about to make a shout of final charge when Kira's voice again interrupted me.
"Team leader, look!"
When I looked up hearing Kira's loud voice, I looked up and saw beautiful silvery strings falling from the sky; these silver strings looked extremely beautiful, it looked like someone had melted the moon rays to create such a striking scene.
I was watching the scene when I found the strings quickly appeared above the Grimm Monsters. The thing these beautiful strings did in the next few seconds, I would never be able to forget in my life.
The strings touched the body of Grimm Monsters and started to pass through them. First, nothing had happened, but then suddenly the body of Grimm Monsters began to split into two just as the silver string finished passing through them.
One after another, Grimm Monsters started to spit into two like they are vegetables being cut by a sharp knife in expert's hands, and the strangest thing is, I saw no blood coming out of the Grimm Monsters bodies, the flesh of the Grimm Monster has been cauterized by the sheer heat those strings possessed.
I have never seen such a horrifying and beautiful scene in my life, and I don't think I will ever be able to forget about it as long as I live.
