《Master Of The Omnitrix》Chapter 28 - Wolf on the streets

I was in a bad mood, the waning heat still lingering after a full day in a hot RV. I had changed into fresher clothing before landing at the reservation- except Max, who looked as fresh as a daisy, somehow.
Ben was wearing an old but still good pair of green and black sneakers, dragging them against the sands. His new brown cargo pants ended against his ankles, which felt weird, but it helped against the heat. To complete the look was a bright green t-shirt with black sleeves, a white number 10 emblazoned over his heart.
Something less iconic to sweat in.
As Grandpa Max listens to the history about the Indian Dream catcher, Me and Gwen browse around to look for anything interesting.
While the slight differences in history are interesting to contemplate ( I've seen more ACTUAL Native Americans in this week than my last life. Washington being part of the space cops probably changed some things) but not enough for my boredom to be absolved.
Just as I'm stewing in the dullness, a young girl's native dance catches his attention.
'Is that....'
I was so focused on her, I let Gwen's puzzlement about my "interest" in the girl.
'I ...really don't get the appeal . Especially if she's into the alien ... that way.'
Wes tells Max that she's his granddaughter, Kai Green I just slump over. Max seems to remember her back then when she was a toddler.
KRA-KA-BOOM !
Suddenly, the clouds darken the skies and Gwen wonders if Kai was doing a rain dance. They head to shelter from the storm.
KRA-KA-BOOM !
A lighting bolt hits the ground next to me and a beastly alien appears before him.
I say only one thing.
"Finally, I was wondering when I could get your form."
He pauses, tilting his head confusion.
Before I can activate DNA capture mode , the alien runs off, while the gang finds that they're in danger.

WHOOSH
Wes announces a flash flood, and they head out for higher ground. Unfortunately, Kai is caught by the strong push of the water, and she's carried along the flood.
SHOOOOM!
Ben transforms into Ripjaws, and tells Kai to grab his hand. Suddenly, they notice a wall that may crush them if they continue down the stream, but luckily, they jump up to hang onto something. Kai thanks him. Up on the roof, the alien rips off the satellite receiver.
Wes believes the creature was a Yenaldooshi, a Navajo werewolf.
Max on the other hand.
There we go," Max smiled. He had connected with someone via comlink. He turned the laptop around to reveal an older African-American male, with dark skin, black hair with a streak of white going down the middle, and one dark brown eye, while the other was of a pale blue color.
"This is Doc Saturday," Max introduced. "He's an expert in the field of cryptidzoology."
Wes readies up to tranquillize the Yenaldooshi. Unfortunately, Kai and Gwen cannot come along with them, as Wes states that only Braves can head out. The times have changed, but the traditions have not.
The Yenaldooshi comes and attacks them, and they fall off from the cliff. Ben activates the Omnitrix and transforms into Stinkfly.
Wes is amazed by the sight.
"Just your average Alien Superhero ."
He extends his wings and flies Wes and Max to safety. Max has some explaining to do to Wes after Ben revealed himself transforming.
Ben heads back at the top, and he tries to grab a hold of the Yenaldooshi. It tries to bites him, but Stinkfly sticks/traps it to the ground.
As Ben , in a moment of carelessness turns his back the alien wolf breaks free and runs
After the Yenaldooshi flees away, Wes and Max heads back up to make sure that Ben's okay, and they head back home.

At the Rust Bucket, Kai questions why the people are leaving. Wes explains that they fear the Yenaldooshi's return, and with the full moon, its power will be greater than ever. She heads up to Ben and Ben brags to her how he uses the powers of the aliens in the Omnitrix for good.

The Yenaldooshi runs off. Wes is puzzled when suddenly, Blitzwolfer started to transform again, and to his surprise, an Omnitrix symbol appears around his waist. And then everything becomes clear, they aren't dealing with a Yenaldooshi, they're dealing with an alien werewolf. Suddenly, the ground starts to shake for some reason.
Ben shrugged. "Alright. One Blitzwolfer, coming u-"
"Wait wait wait…" Wes stopped him.
"Blitzwolfer?"
"Yeah. What's up?"
"Did you actually name one of your aliens after a CNN host?"
"...."
Later on
The group discovers a cave and enters it, there's a faint smell of sulfur in the air, which tells them that they're inside a volcano. Wes says the volcano is dormant. Just then, the walls crack and lava comes out. The Yenaldooshi has somehow reawakened the volcano.
The group wonders what the Yenaldooshi's true intentions are. As they try to find a way out of the cave, the alien werewolf finds them and attacks them. The lava had broken through and if not stopped, it would destroy the village. Ben transforms into Cannonbolt. As the fight rages, they lava flow continues its path down the mountain. Cannonbolt says he'll seal it up and for the others to run. A cave-in occurs, cutting Cannonbolt and the Yenaldooshi from the group. The group runs out the cave exit just as the cave roof collapses. They fear Cannonbolt is gone, when suddenly he pops up, unharmed. It appears the lava has been stopped and the Yenaldooshi has been defeated.
At the village, Wes is glad that some of the people are coming back. Though they never found the equipment stolen by the Yenaldooshi, they feel the threat is over. Ben is happy to have a new alien and plans to add more. As Wes helps Max prepare to leave, Kai tries talks to Ben in a surprising twist.
" Look, Kai. It's just... your not my type."
>>>>▪︎
Deep inside the cave, a strange machine made from the stolen transmission equipment suddenly activates.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus
