''I think it would be not a bad idea to try to kill few zombies by yourself. Don't think that I fear you, I just think its something you have to do it yourself. Those things are found in the hearts of the zombies. We dissected one to see what is inside and found out as soon as you take out the stone they stop functioning. But they die as well if you shoot their heads or cut their heads off. Try keeping protection gear and just get one. Take the stone and see what will happen. Seriously I am curious as well. You are the only one that had this kind of reaction. I wonder if those things in novels might help you?'' He tried to explain thoroughly.

''I read novels as well and know what you mean. Heart, you say? Sigh. Do I need to bring a big kitchen knife as well? I'll just shoot them and then take the stone. Who knows, maybe it is indeed better that you are there. If I have no strange reaction I will call you back. If I turn into one of them just shoot me.'' She was going anxious. Like something urged her to move faster.

She entered the elevator and suddenly saw flashes in front of her eyes. She was not even sleeping while she saw her own hand digging in someone's c.h.e.s.t and grabbing shiny things out of it. Then she stuffed it into her mouth and just swallowed. The dream stopped while she felt a wave of nauseousness. That's disgusting.

But to be truthful she felt fear. What if she really has to eat it like that?

The door silently opened and at first, she saw no one. She knew that the floor under her was empty so she went to the 18th floor. A sound seems to come from the doors not far away. A man in his sixties was trying to enter through closed doors. A sound could be heard from the other side and he was attracted by it.

Jenny slowly approached, rose the handgun and just fired straight at his head. It was actually close proximity so she couldn't miss it. The sound from the other side unmistakably was as well zombie. She searched for mans pockets and found his key card. She swiped it and the automatic door opened and older woman slowly stumbled out and crashed ower the dead man's body.

While she tried to stand up Jenny just shot her as well and with shaking, legs and hands started searching the apartment. Strangely it was not even filled with many appliances. Half-empty with a basic kitchen, three bathrooms and bunch space in the middle where the big bed stood turned towards windows.

Nex to the bed stood a small table where two wine glasses could be seen.

She took the knife and with shaky legs went back to the two dead people. With a knife and almost closed eyes, she dug out their c.h.e.s.t area and practically minced their c.h.e.s.t area until she got their hearts out and saw two shiny stones in it.

Her eyes were scanning the stones and her stomach was churning buy she still stood up and washed them in one of the rooms.

She took the headgear off went to the window and saw Mike standing there with binoculars staring at her. She waved stiffly at him with it and just stuffed the stones into her mouth and swallowed them.

At first, absolutely nothing happened, but soon a pleasant warmth passed through her body and she felt somewhat satisfied. Now she was hungry for normal food as well, strangely. First, she just waves one more time towards Mike and then she searched that pairs of the kitchen area, finding bunch of cheap chinese noodles. She just quickly warmed the water, added some hot water and waited for a couple of minutes next window. Then she ate it with gusto.

She waited a few more minutes and then just shrugged. Nothing happened. But cleaning her building might not be a bad idea. So she started it. Level by level she found dead people. Not even one was alive. Some apartments were closed and zombies could be heard from the other side.

She just chose to ignore it. After all, those are safety doors, it's not like she could brake in any way.

It was all going smoothly until the fifth level. She locked doors when she heard growling even before the door opened. Luckily she had door lock key in her hands from the 6th-floor woman.

It seems that the woman was about to leave when something happened. After killing her she found her key on her and found out she had a small scared dog inside. He just winced when she tried to catch him, so she chooses she will take him with her, on her way back up.

She let him eat some of the food and left him inside.

With slow motions, she searched every corner and found bunch of food in the apartment. She slowly transferred as much as she could inside, went to the 19th floor and left it there, then again went down and repeated that few times.

Finally, she searched for the last three floors and found nothing. No sounds, no open doors, nothing. She went to the entryway level and listened through the doors. Unfortunately, she couldn't hear anything.

After pressing the doorknob, it made sound and she got scared shitless by the sight.
