Chapter 27

Erika woke up and opened her eyes only to see a dimpled smile directed at her. Andy was hovering down at her with her head supported by her hand.

"Ugh…" She immediately covered up her eyes.

Andy was laughing. "What? Hahaha."

Erika could feel how swollen her eyes and that they're all puffy due to her crying last night.

Andy tried to removed her hands but she did not budge. Surrendering, Andy left the room while still laughing.

"How far is it from here?" Erika curiously asked.

They were on the car, driving to somewhere outside the City. Andy already asked permission to her Grandpa that she would take Erika to Ali Falls and that they'll stay there for a night.

"I don't know. I think two hour ride and then forty five minutes hike?"

"What?" Erika gasped. "We're hiking?"

"Yes? Hahaha "

"Ugh, I hate hiking." She complained.

'I don't have stamina.'

"Can't we turn back?"

Andy shook her head sideways while smiling.

Erika was panting really hard as they were heading up to the falls. All the cottages and rooms were also up there. So, she doesn't have any other choice but to persevere.

"How can you still laugh at me in this situation?" She'd been throwing piercing gazes to Andy in which Andy would only tease her more.

Erika has been trying hard to take a step forward. Taking a lot of stopped to catch her breath.

"Aren't you out of breath?" Erika asked while heavily breathing.

She stopped and placed both of her hands on her knees.

'Why is it I'm the only one suffering here?'

"Nope, I can even run." Andy boasted.

Erika rolled her eyes. Then a man, who looked like their age approached them. He was smiling.

"Do you need some help Miss?" He directed her question to Erika.

Then a whistle and some laughters were heard from a group of people.

Well, of course, they are not the only people heading to the falls. There were a few strangers. Some girls and some boys that seemed to be in a group..

Both Erika and Andy's brow arched in unison as soon as they heard those whistles and laughters.

'What help can you offer? Are you going to carry her?'

Erika just smiled and straighten up herself.

"I'm fine. I can carry on by myself." Erika politely declined.

"Woah…"

Another laughter broke out again from that group.

The guy retreated back to his group after that and resume their hike. Andy was annoyed by then. She could feel those watchful eyes all through out their way.

She took a glance at Erika but it seems that the girl was so focus on her state to be bothered by other people's gazes.

Since then, Andy can't help but be weary. Her intuition was telling her something and so she raised her guard just in case.
