《Blue Eyed Beast (#1- Blue Eyed Luna Series)》Chapter 21: Father and Daughter

Dillon was prepared for the attack. He had heard the howls of his pack, the alarms warning him that his daughter had lost control... again.
But when Adeline landed right in front of him, Dillon wasn't ashamed to admit that he had stepped back in surprise. He had expected to meet her inside of the mansion, he had even been preparing his heart for the bloodshed and death, but he hadn't expected to engage with her out in the open. Adeline's body was thin and emaciated, but that didn't fool him. She could pack as much as a punch as a normal, healthy wolf.
His own wolf was filled with the same rage. The animal howled and thrashed inside of him, demanding the man release him; demanding the man to surrender.
'MATE!' The wolf roared inside of Dillon's ears. 'Mate left! Where is mate?!'
Dillon wasn't sure where his Luna was, but deep down, he knew that she was okay... not safe, but okay. That thought nearly had his wolf taking over with fury. Alexandra definitely wasn't safety, nor was she okay, in his beast's eyes. Wherever she was, she was not safe without him.
Rocking back onto her hind legs, Dillon watched as the grey wolf lunged in his direction, but he had been anticipating that move.
Ducking down faster than the eye could see, Dillon was back onto his paws as Adeline flew over him. The untrained wolf was so overwhelmed with rage that when she landed, she turned around just as quickly, facing him with flashing canines. Dillon bared his own in return.
The grey wolf crouched low for a moment and shook its head as if something inside of its mind was fighting against the rage, something fighting the against the Beast's hold.
Crazed, murderous blue eyes met his, and at that very moment, Dillon knew that the Beast had fully taken over. His pup was too weak to fight the monster; she was too tired to fight the demon.
'This is for Adeline.' Dillon told his snarling wolf. The wolf grunted in agreement.
'If she can't fight it, then we will.' Dillon's wolf howled.
Dillon couldn't even respond to his wolf before the Beast exploded. A mass of grey fur hurled itself at him, teeth bared in promise and claws exposed in malice.
He met his daughter head on; deadly teeth latching onto flesh, claws tearing through skin, blood filling foaming mouths. When Adeline bit down on his shoulder, he let out a silent yelp as pain pulsed and splintered from the wound. Dillon had experienced worst bites and mauls than this, but something about his own flesh and blood biting him hurt more than anything else.
He didn't want to hurt his daughter, but at the moment, Alpha came before father. He had to distract her long enough so that a pack member could get the silver.
The grey wolf lunged towards him again, her canines finding purchase in his thick front leg. Dillon let out a snarl as he dived down onto her neck, his teeth piercing the flesh. The metallic smell of blood rose up into the air as the two wolves tore into each other.
Applying more pressure to his bite, the Alpha began to thrash his head violently, trying to get the Beast to release her hold on his shoulder. The feral wolf fell into his trap, her canines retracting from his skin and fur, leaving a gaping wound that was releasing blood.
Falling back a step, the grey wolf glared at her father, her blue eyes glowing so brightly that they looked more white than blue. Dillon bared his bloodstained teeth in his own kind of fury.

While Dillon watched the raging wolf, he saw dark figures stalking out of the woods two-hundred feet away, their forms nothing more than the trees and bushes surrounding them. Dillon immediately recognized the three males that were heading straight for his daughter. Clyde, Finnian, and Clint.
Dillon lunged at Adeline right when her muscles tensed. He knew that if he didn't make the first move, then the wolf would latch right back onto him, causing more blood to flow. He couldn't risk losing any more blood if he wanted to distract her from tearing into the mansion.
Adeline was ready him. Father and daughter met on their hind legs, snarls escaping through their bloodied muzzles. Adeline bit at his face, but her teeth couldn't find purchase. Dillon welcomed the pain as she tore at his upper body with razor-sharp claws, scoring angry slashed down his shoulders and sides; drawing more blood.
With a snarl of pure fury, Dillon twisted his head and clamped down onto her thick neck, his teeth sinking in deeper than ever before. The Beast thrashed and writhed in his hold, trying to break it, but Dillon wouldn't release her, not now. Throwing his weight to the left, he threw her off her feet with a mighty growl. The Beast scrambled under him, her paws lashing out- striking at his underbelly in an attempt to get the upper hand again. Repositioning his hold on her neck, Dillon got more control over her body, keeping in at an awkward angle. A sound like nothing he had ever heard before, escaped her throat; it was mixed between a snarl, a howl, and a whimper. Dillon almost loosened the bite, but his wolf forced him to bite down even tighter.
'Could be a trap to be released,' The wolf within him warned. 'Release her neck now, and she will tear into us and everyone else.'
Dillon listened to his wolf's warning.
As if the very presence of the others had brought back her strength, the grey wolf let out a howl of rage and, even with his teeth in her neck, she twisted and lunged upwards. Dillon felt his canines tear through muscle and tendons as she fought his hold, her mouth foaming and snapping.
'Alpha!' An Omega named Zachary shouted through the pack link. 'I have the silver!'
Dillon was about to respond but was stopped as Adeline ripped out of his jaws. The scent of blood was growing nauseatingly stronger now, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the taste of her blood in his mouth. The Beast had escaped his bite, and while doing that, she had lost chunks of flesh from her neck. Blood poured from the gaping wounds, but she didn't slow as she snapped her teeth at him and the three other males.
'Dillon?' Clyde asked. 'Do you want us to pin her?'
Without moving his eyes from his bleeding daughter, he nodded his large head.
Adeline might be strong, but she would stand no real chance if all four males pinned her down to the ground. With all of the blood loss and the previous attack on her father, the Beast's energy was draining rapidly.
The grey wolf's eyes darted from male to male as if in a panic, but her eyes didn't dim at all. The males began to circle around her, trying to find a spot where they would be able to hold her down. The best places to hold her down were her legs, neck, shoulders, and midsection, but they had to be careful with pinning her down. Her whole body and the space around it was a bite zone.

'I'm fifty feet away,' The Omega told him.
'Stay there until I tell you otherwise!' Dillon ordered.
Turning his mindlink towards Clyde and Clint, he told them where to grab her. 'Clyde: shift and hold down her front legs. Clint: shift also and hold down her hind legs. I will hold down her head and neck, and Finnian will hold down her body."
The Beast was crouched defensively now, her teeth bared and her hackles bristling with anger. She didn't like being cornered by anything, let alone those below her. As her eyes danced back and forth, from male to male, she let out a chilling growl.
Using some of the Alpha power than danced in his blood, Dillon closed off the Pack Link and focused on Finnian. Not many wolves knew that Alphas could communicate with others that weren't Pack, but it was a trick that others had no need to know.
'Finnian,' He said, keeping an eye on Adeline but right past his line of vision, Finnian's dark eyes widened in surprise.
'When Clyde, Clint, and I pin Adeline, you need to shift and hold down her midsection because she will try to break the hold. No matter what she does: whimpers, growls, howls, or even bite, you do not let her go. You understand?' Dillon's voice was gruff.
Finnian nodded his wolf head once.
Dillon crouched low, his pointed ears pressing back against his head. Lifting his upper jowl, he bared his blood-coated canines at the Beast.
'On three,' Dillon told the three males.
The Beast backed up so that she could keep all four males within her crazed eyesight, but the scent emitting from her was of something tangy; the Beast wasn't scared. Not one bit. In the Beast's twisted, dark mind, it truly believed that it could take on all four males, and win.
'One,'
The Beast narrowed her eyes on the Western Beta, a dribble of saliva slipping from her jowls.
'Two,'
Dillon watched as the Beta stared the Beast down, his dark eyes melting into a stunning hazel color. The young Beta took a defensive stance, his fur rising as his muscles tensed.
'PIN HER!' Dillon roared through the mind link right as the Beast crouched slightly, and lunged at the Western Beta.
The Beast flew at Finnian, her teeth flashing with malice and bloodlust. Finnian rose up to meet her, his canines aimed for her bloodied neck, but before they could clash, a mass of white fur rammed into the Beast, sending her flying.
Clint.
The massive white wolf was on top of Adeline in less than a second, his teeth clamping down on her thick neck as snarls rumbled from deep within his chest. The Beast thrashed under him, her claws striking at his body, but Clint was unmoveable.
Clyde, Finnian, and Dillon darted over to the Delta, each of them finding their places to hold her down.
'Move!' Dillon ordered through the Packlink, directing the order to Clint. The mountain of a wolf lifted his eyes to Dillon's, the amber orbs glowing so fiercely that for a moment, he was certain that Clint was going to go feral too. For a count of three seconds, Clint held the Alpha's gaze, his teeth still at the Beast's vibrating throat, but then he dropped his eyes. Climbing off of the Beast, Clint quickly released his hold on her throat.
A howl of rage lifted up into the crisp morning air, but Dillon ignored the sound as he shifted. The Beast thrashed and writhed harder than ever, her body twisting and jerking, trying to throw off one of the males; but she was too weak. Dillon sat behind her head, shielding the lower part of his body that was unclothed. The Beast was dangerous; she wouldn't hesitate to tear off some important body parts.
Dillon wrapped his right hand around her muzzle, clamping her jaws together. His left hand pressed down on the spot right behind her ears, keeping her head controlled and to the ground.
Turning his attention to the Omega with the silver, Dillon told the wolf to approach. 'Zachary, approach now, but cautiously.'
'Okay, Alpha.'
The soft sound of footfalls told Dillon that the Omega was about twenty feet away. Good.
"The silver is coming. Whatever happens, do not let her go. Once the silver is injected, we still need to hold her. I will tell you when it is okay to release her." Dillon told the males around him. A low growl rumbled in the Beast's chest.
'She lost a lot of blood.' The wolf whispered into his mind. Dillon nodded, the muscle in his jaw feathering. The sooner he got his daughter inside of the mansion and chained up, the sooner she could start healing.
"Alpha," Zachary mumbled right beside him. Dillon didn't even look up at the young wolf. He just nodded his head, a silent acceptance.
The Beast's growls intensified as the needle was uncapped, and a hand pulled at the loose skin on her neck.
Dillon closed his eyes, unable to watch the needle pierce his pup's skin.
The Beast let out a throaty snarl as the Omega began to inject the silver into her bloodstream. She twisted and turned in their strongholds, but it was fruitless. With her blood loss and the silver burning through her veins, she was almost zapped of all her energy.
Minutes passed, and slowly, Dillon felt the muscles beneath his hands relax, and her breathing slow.
"You can release her," Dillon said. All of the harsh hands began to leave the Beast's body, but the males' bodies were tense, ready to spring on the she-wolf again should she attack.
"Thank you." He said, looking into the eyes of the males that had helped him. All of the males dropped their gaze almost immediately in submission and respect.
Dillon turned back to his daughter. Her body was riddled with bites, scratches, clumps of missing fur, and even chunks of missing flesh. Her beautiful grey pelt was stained red from the bloodshed, but the fur around her muzzle and neck were almost pure red.
He set a calloused hand down on the top of her head, his fingers digging into the wet fur. What had she done to deserve this fate? What did he do to make the Moon so pissed at him, that she decided to take it out on his pup?
Dillon leaned over onto his knees and shoveled his hands under her prone body.
"Go get the cell ready," Dillon said, facing the Omega. Zachary nodded gravely before turning on his heels. Dillon watched for a moment as the Omega's dark form ran towards the mansion, flung open the door, and disappeared inside.
As Dillon stood up with his pup in his arms, he felt his wolf rising again.
'Mate...' Was all the animal said.
'Yes,' Dillon responded. 'We will make sure our pup is alright, then we will look for mate.'
Pulling Adeline tight to his chest, he ran in the direction of the mansion. Once he made sure Adeline was chained up and a doctor had looked her over, he was going to find his mate.
He had lost control when bond had pulled, but he knew that he had to be the one to keep it together; for Adeline, for the Pack, for his Luna. After all, she couldn't have had gone far.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
