《Shadow Pack Stories [Completed]》Chapter 3: The Lake

Karisa Papadopoulus' POV
I was looking at Sebastian's retreating form as I was lurking in the bushes. If I don't know any better, I was in the position to give myself to these guys in front of me right now. And one of them was bigger than my father.
I gulped.
I wanted to get away but better than moving right now. I have to lose them first. Then, Sam was speaking to those men. I saw her husband was whispering something to her. She turned to look at him.
"What do you mean?" She asked before her husband was kissing her forehead. My heart swelled for Sam as she had found her own Prince Charming. I wonder when I will be finding for myself.
"I think you just have to wait and see," her husband said before Sam scoffed at him. Then, I heard another ruckus and it was a man that holds so much command in them. I can see it in his amber eyes. Sam's husband stepped up and I think I was too focused to get to Sebastian that I took my moment when they were busy talking to get away from there.
I was looking at the forest as if it was the back of my hand. I saw that Sebastian was heading North but my instinct told me that he might be going to the West. I sighed before I let my feet took me where they wanted to go.
"South it is," I said as I was looking at the sun to know where I was in the forest right now. I was walking through the deep forest. My father used to carry me around when I was little and when he wanted to get the woods for his furniture by himself. I have always been his company and I was thankful for the survival skills that he taught me.

I was looking at the sky and it was noon. I did not bring anything that I would need if I ever got lost. I have to get back to town before I was trapped inside this forest forever. And the worst of all, the legend that the folks believed.
The werewolves.
I shivered when I felt goosebumps were on my skin. I was looking around the woods to see if there was a sign of them. Thankfully, they did not come out in the broad daylight. But they could be hiding in plain sight.
Just like my father said.
I sighed before I heard a splash nearby. Judging by the sound, I was close and there was a big amount of water. I smiled before my steps were hurried to that splash of water. I was passing through the woods as I did not care about my appearance before I stopped behind the bushes and I was hiding again.
Bloody hell!
I thought I would not find Sebastian Lykos but turned out, he was naked as the day he was born. I was breathing heavily as my chest was pounding so loudly in my ears that I cannot think of anything else.
Sebastian was a Greek God.
I cannot think of any man that would have a body like him in comparison. I was amazed as I was stopped dead in my track as I was looking at him. He was swimming in the lake that I was gulping. I don't want him to know that I was lurking in the shadow and I was peeping on him.
That man was naked!
I closed my eyes before I was leaning closer to the ground when Sebastian was looking in my way. I don't think that he would notice but who knows? He might have super hearing that I don't.
"Who's there?" He shouted before I was closing my mouth with my hands. I don't want to make my presence known to him and I was determined to keep it that way. My chest was pounding before I heard the water of someone was coming out of the lake.

I cannot undo the images that were in front of my eyes then.
I can see the water droplets were glistening on his bronze skin as his brunette hair was being kissed by the sun. I was gulping heard before I was hearing for any sound. I think he was gone and I think I was safe to get out of my hiding spot.
I released the breath loudly and before I know it, I was shrieking as I was being dragged from my hiding spot to see into the rarest eye color that I ever have seen.
Red.
And a very angry looking Sebastian was looking at me.
Sebastian Lykos' POV
I was swimming laps when I smell her. I smirked as I know she was nearby and I can hear that she was lurking in the bushes. She thought that I don't know about her presence but she was wrong. I did not want to make Karisa aware that I know she's here.
So, I was minding my own business as usual.
But by the sound of her heart that was pounding loudly in her chest, I think she was peeping on me. My, my, my mate loved to peep on people. Maybe she was a peeping Tom in town. I smirked at that notion.
I was swimming again as I heard that she was moving in the bushes. I wanted to know that I heard her before I was shouting to no one around the lake. No one knows this lake except for me.
"Who's there?" I asked as I wanted her to make her presence known. But she remained still. I smirked even more before I submerged under the cold water as I was trying to control my lust. I know what this attraction was. It was called a mate bond.
But ironically, for an Ultima, I don't believe mates.
I heard the legend that werewolves were lucky to find their mates, their other half. But I think Moon Goddess was joking with me when she made my mate a fucking human. Was she a sadist or something?
I sighed before I went to the edge of the lake and I got up from the bank. I was walking toward the water as I can sense that Karisa was still there. I tsk-ed before I was reaching for her. She shrieked as I was holding her hand and her eyes widened when she was looking at me.
I know I'm hot but please, don't stare. It's rude.
She was breathing hard before she was checking me out. My wolf purred before I felt blood was rushing to my groin. Bloody hell! This is not how I imagined how we first met after that Folk Festival.
"Well, hello there. I don't know there was a peeping Tom here," I said as Karisa was looking at my face immediately. She was frowning before she was trying to get my hand off her.
'Sebastian,' my name on her lips brought forth the feelings that I don't know I have them. I was looking at her petite form from my 6 ft 4 in. She was about 5 ft 5 in, give or take. She was perfect for cuddling.
Wait, what?
I was looking at her before her emerald green eyes were on my garnet-red eyes. I don't know how to proceed after this.
'Claim her, take her, ravish her,' my wolf whispered and before I know it, I was kissing her.
