Anika Regio's POV
I was staring at the wilderness that was outside the cottage. It was nice as I was sipping on the coffee that Damien made. I don't know how long I have been here but I did not care as long as I have Damien beside me, I will be alright.
"What are you thinking about?" Damien whispered to me as I was smiling secretively. I turned to look at him as he was arching his eyebrows at me.
"Nothing in particular," I said as I sipped on my coffee again. Damien laughed as he was nuzzling my neck.
"You know I can read your mind, right?" He whispered before I was getting away from him. I glared at him as I don't know how to not make him read my mind. A few days ago, I had freaked out when I learned that I heard someone was talking to me in my mind. I asked Damien about it and he was not surprised to say that he was the one has been on my mind lately.
"That was so awesome but so creepy at the same time," I said to him before Damien laughed and he was seducing me to forget about it.
And by seducing I mean made love.
He has been restless with me these days. Not that I have complained but he was my first love so I have little experience in this department. I wonder if he ever spends some time with other women here beside me.
"You only need to know that I only brought you here, Anika," Damien said as he was looking at me. I glared at him again as he was reading my mind again.
"Get out of my mind or I swear, Damien, no more sex for you," I hissed at him before he frowned.
"It's not sex, Anika, it's making love. Always is and always will be," he said as I scoffed at him.

"Yeah, whatever," I said before Damien was stiffened. I looked at him before his eyes were looking at the ground before he was turning toward the front door. I wanted to know what he was thinking but some walls blocked me from reaching out to him.
"What is it?" I asked him as he was putting his finger to his mouth. He was looking through the window before he instructed me to stay in the bedroom.
"Do not come out until I come and get you," he said as I nodded. He was about to leave before I gripped his wrist. He looked at me before I pulled him closer and I kissed him with all my heart and love for him.
"Be careful," I said to him before he nodded.
"I'll come back to you," he said before he kissed me again and was out of the cottage with my heart and love was for him, forever and always.
Damien Laskaris' POV
I went outside the cottage and I was looking around. I don't want Anika to be afraid before anything and I think it was nothing. Then, it was moving.
"Who's there?" I shouted as I was ready to fight. Even I was a tale-teller, I was still a Delta of Shadow Pack and my mate was in danger. I will do anything to fight the intruder. I shifted and tore all of my clothes as I was on all four. I was baring my canines for my enemies to know that I mean business.
'Relax, Delta. It's us,' Caleb said in my mind as I was looking at the 3 wolves that were approaching the cottage. I felt my guard lowered but not entirely. I sensed there was something else in the woods.
'What is it?' Arthur asked before Xavier was sniffing the air.
'I don't know but I think it was one of us,' he said.

'Zack, perhaps?' I suggested before the wolves were looking at the forest. I looked at them before Caleb was nodding at us. We went inside the forest as I was sniffing the air. Zack has a very distinctive smell since he was not originally from this pack but we considered him as our own.
Besides, he's Arthur's brother. Half, I mean. I always forgot to add that part.
'He's close. I know this scent everywhere,' Caleb said as we were running toward the cave that I don't know even existed in this area.
'Where are we?' I asked Xavier before I saw the black wolf that was protecting the cave.
'Zack, it's alright. It's me, Arthur. Your brother, remember?' Arthur said before I snickered.
'Half,' I said before 3 pairs of eyes were snarling at me. I whimpered before I was looking at Arthur who was trying to get close to Zack. He snapped at us before I heard another howl. Zack was focused on it before he howled back.
'What is he doing?' I asked as Caleb was looking at Xavier. They were having a mind link without us now.
'Looks like you and I left in the dark buddy,' I said to Arthur before I heard that he chuckled. I glared at him before he was staring at me. I rolled my eyes inwardly before Caleb and Xavier were approaching Zack.
'Are you just going to let them go in like that?' I asked Arthur before we were watching the Alpha and Beta was trying to soothe the Omega. Zack snarled first before he whimpered as Alpha was baring his canine. I think they were having heart-to-heart talk right now.
'Well, it seems so boring. Not enough action I think,' I said as I was looking around. Then I saw it. The wolf that was howling.
'Stay back,' Sam said as she was approaching the black wolf. The calm Zack was now trying to bare his canine to the new wolf.
'Sam, I don't think—' I said before Sam snarled at me. I took a step back before she was talking with the Alpha and Beta. Zack was looking at the newcomer before he was snarling.
'Go. I can handle him,' Sam ordered before Arthur was trying to step in.
'Just go,' Sam snarled before we were backing up the love quarrel.
'Well, love to stay and chat, but I have another mate to think about,' Alpha said before everyone agreed. I sighed before I went away as well.
'Anyway, congrats on finding your mate, Delta,' Alpha Caleb said as the others snickered in the mind link. I chuckled nervously as I was looking at them.
'What do you mean?' I said before the three wolves were howling. I think I might die of embarrassment.
Anika Regio's POV
"I don't know, Sasha. I think I might quit," I said as I was looking at the window. The howling was getting to me. And right now, they were 3 howls.
"Look, just tell Pierre that I can't do this anymore. I wanted out and you will do anything to let me go. Please, Sasha. I don't think I wanted to continue to model again," I said before Sasha was sighing. I hope it was a relief sigh.
"Well, if you don't want to. I have to tell the truth then," she said before I was seeing someone that I have been waiting for walking toward the door.
"Sasha, I have to go. Say I'm sorry to Pierre and I hope you will find another model to be your responsibility," I said before Sasha laughed and I hung up to see Damien.

Apocalypse Redux (a LitRPG Apocalypse)
It wasn't climate change that killed us. Nor was it the blue boxes that suddenly appeared in front of us one day. No, it was what we did with said boxes. All it took was a little nudging from the wrong dark deity and the world spiraled into the abyss. Twelve years later, only a mere handful of humans remain, fighting against an endless horde, fully aware of the futility of their actions. A demon lord gets torn to shreds by the last of humanity, determined to go out in a blaze of glory. In the end, only Isaac Thoma remains to reap the reward for this victory. Another chance. A new go at things from that fateful day the world became quantified.
8 1214An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
