《Shadow Pack Stories [Completed]》Chapter 4: The Cafe

Xavier Marchand's POV
I was looking at her as she was staring at her arms and legs, there was no scratch or anything at all. My wolf was pacing around like it was in a cage. If anything happened, I don't think I can control it any longer.
"Why are you not moving when the car was coming at you?" I asked her as she turned her green eyes on me. I was mesmerized by it but I have to keep my control.
Calm down, Xavier, do not be distracted.
"I was in a daze. I don't know what happened. Maybe it was my brain that refused to function in a new place," she said as she chuckled. I liked it and I think I wanted to hear it again.
"I'm Stella," she said as she shook my hand. Electric was going through my body and my wolf was purring at the name.
'Stella, mine,' it said as I was clearing my throat before I retrieved my hand from her. My wolf whined at the loss of contact.
So, where are you going, Stella?" I asked as I wanted to be polite to her. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she looked at the popular cafe.
"You want to go for some breakfast?" I asked her as she turned to look at me.
"How do you know?"
"Well, most tourists loved to go there for breakfast. Their special menu, the Breakfast Bulge was worth trying," I said as I was crossing my hands in front of my chest. She eyed my hands before she blushed.
Huh.
"Well, I wanted to try it since I will be here only for a week," she said as she was smiling at me. I cannot help but smile back at her. She was that magnetic.
"If you're free or anything, I can go with you if you want," I offered. I don't even know what came over my mouth as I was looking at Stella. She arched her eyebrow.

"Are you trying to ask me out, sir?" She asked me as she was smiling at me. I blushed as I can sense that my heart was blooming at the sight.
"Perhaps. Is it working?" I answered before Stella shook her head.
"Shall we?" She said as she gestured me to lead her. I smiled as I went to take her hand and we were crossing the road to the other side. She was surprised that I took her hand but she just let me.
We entered the cafe as I was greeting the familiar person there. Sam was greeting me as she waved at me. I turned to look at Stella as she was arching her eyebrow at me.
"So, what do you want?" I asked her as she was looking at the menu. It was in Greek so I don't think she would understand it.
"Maybe you should pick for me. I don't know any Greek words," she said as she chuckled. I beamed at her as I asked her to find our table. It was not that busy yet but it sure about to crowd pretty soon.
"Hey," I said as Sam was beaming at me.
"Hey, yourself," she replied. Sam was one of ours but she worked outside the community. It was good to know that our people can communicate with humans pretty well.
"Can I have two Breakfast Bulge please?" I asked her as she was eyeing Stella. She smirked at me.
"Are you trying to impress her?" She asked as she would know it by now. You see, I was not used to having a woman around me. So, when Stella was around me, early in the morning at that, people would be asking some questions.
"So, are we going to get another wedding around the corner?" Sam asked when she gave me the breakfast trays. I scoffed at her.

"Well, she's an outsider. There are rules against outsiders," I said darkly at her before she just laughed at me.
"Whatever you say, Beta," she said as she went to get another order. I carried the trays to where Stella has seated and put the trays on the table.
"So, who was that?" She asked as she was looking at me, curiosity at her best. I smiled even though Stella was an outsider, I still wanted to talk to her.
"Well, she was a friend," I said as I handed the tray to her. She looked at it as if she has been starving herself for weeks.
And maybe she was.
"Oh my God. I cannot believe I was about to eat my dream food right now. You see, I have been planning this trip since I was a Junior in college. I cannot believe I was doing this," she said as she was snapping some photos for her memories.
I can sense that she was a very cheerful person as she would smile and talk with me whenever she can.
"Sorry, I should have not talked about myself too much," she said as I was staring at her mouth. How good could it be if I was to kiss her? Will she get mad?
What the? Xavier, get your head in the game. She was an outsider. You cannot let her in that easy.
"No, no. I don't mind. Usually, it would be my sister that does the talking in our house," I said as I was indulging in breakfast.
"Oh, you have a sister? That's must be nice," she said as she was spooning some eggs into her mouth as she was chewing on it. I wanted to feel her lips so bad.
'Then, do it, what are you waiting for?' My wolf said in my mind as I was trying to control it. I cleared my throat as I sipped on some water. I felt so hot all of a sudden.
"Are you okay? You were sweating," Stella said as I was looking at her.
"What?" I asked before I went to look at my hands. It was wet and I think my forehead was wet as well.
"Here, let me," she said as she went to pull some napkins and she was wiping my forehead. I looked at her as she was oblivious to the thoughts that I have right now in my mind.
'Take her,'
'Claim her,'
'Mine,' my wolf purred before I was standing up from the seat. The tourists were coming inside the cafe by the minute. I need to get away from here.
"Sorry, I have to go. My boys are waiting for me," I said as I was rushing out of the cafe, leaving Stella to eat by herself. I was not having the control right now.
What was wrong with me?
I never lose control before. I did not know what was going on as I was sweating and I can sense that my canine was itching to get out. I have to get to the forest.
"Xavier?" Zack, the Omega of the pack asked me. I shook my head.
"I shall meet you guys at the community. Right now, I have to take care of something," I said before I ran into the forest. I think Zack knows what I mean by that.
I could only hope that he understood.

Hawkin. Bronze Ranked Brewer.
07/11/2022 Update: We're currently at the end of the 7th arc, out of 10. My plan is to continue to publish a chapter at least 4-5x a week for the next few months. Synopsis: Hawkin found his place in the world, far from humans and monsters. He abandoned the adventuring life long ago and left civilization, opting for peace and isolation instead. After ten years out in the northern forests, he befriends a strange creature and his life changes. A traveling trio of monks then show up in Hawkin's woods and share with him the best beer he's ever had. After that beer, Hawkin wants to do nothing but accept the brewer's path and brew. This story is intended to be slow and easy. It involves a slow progression of power and brewing more powerful beers. There is occasional conflict. Thanks for reading, and I really hope this story relieves a bit of stress from your days. Note: I'm behind on Audio, but I hope to catch up soon. Linked Audio is always free. In Harry Potter with OTS System
What would happen to a guy that died out of rage while in a Guild War? What would the choice of some bored dimensional being who catches his soul in the middle of his way to the afterlife? What would happen when the guy's addiction mixes with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!? What chaos would that bring to the world!?------------------------------------Well, this was an idea I had like a week ago, and wanted to try it out on my journey to learn how to write. So, here it is. It's another fanfic, yes. Because it's easier to write. Also, with this one, I'll probably post only during the weekends, not daily like with the Novel's Extra's Extra. Firstly because I want to finish the other one, and also because I need to research a lot more (I'm not that knowledgeable in Harry Potter.) As usual, any feedback and criticism will be well received, and thanks for reading! Will be posting this in Scribble Hub and Webnovel too.
