///// Kargar POV/////
I did not foresee this.
An SSS Rank Beast emerging was something that I did not want.
At most, we anticipated a beast just breaking into the SSS Rank tier, not one that was already at the wall between SSS and X Rank.
…...
I need to kill it while I still have the chance, not only for Aemplefort but to also curb the future existence of a terrific beast.
Lord Ganesha, Assist me in my mission to remove this obstacle.
///// 3rd POV /////
Vincent sped across the vast distance between him and the beast, The [One With Nature] ability shaded him from everyone's view, and he was able to slip past them and the beasts unhindered.
When he got to his destination, he saw General Kargar as a giant combatting Arachnid.
Kargar stood just as tall, maybe a little taller than the beast, He wielded a Golden War-hammer his size as his main weapon.
The size of the hammer in no way hindered Kargar's speed of swinging. Regardless of this, he was not winning.
With the help of the skills [Life Leech] and [Regeneration], Arachnid healed from any attack of the General. However, the same could not be said for Kargar.
The beast was also ridiculously strong, as its pincers were able to stand against the massive Warhammer and easily repel it with no damage.
Due to this even though the fight had just begun, Kargar had accumulated quite an amount of bruises on him.
'At this rate, he will be overwhelmed.' Vincent thought.
So he ran in to assist, and just in time too. Because the beast had slipped past Kargar's defenses and attacked with a powerful ether boosted jab of its pincers.
If not for the quick flame chain which Vincent casted on it for binding, the pincer would have put a grave injury on him.
The flame chain was also covered by a layer of illusion making it invisible
He then went further by gripping onto the chain and yanked it with his strength, tugging the pincher back.
Even with the collective strength of the 3 giants he had devoured, it was not in any means lenient for him to pull back this beast.
A testament to how physically strong an SSS Rank Beast is.

Either way, His tug on the pincher hindered the beast enough for General Kargar to retreat and counter with an ether infused, earth-shattering, smash from his Warhammer.
But as the attack approached, The beast's shadow sprung to life due to the use of the skill [Shadow Manipulation].
Arachnid's shadow shielded it from the strike but the force put into the swing was not to be underestimated. It pushed the shield past its limit and went onto the beast behind it.
While the strike was slowed by the shadow guard, it was still able to push the beast further back into the stampede.
Kargar went on with his attack and began a combo of raining hammers.
A 7 hit combo which he ended with a mountain-splitting smash that hit so hard, it generated a wind pressure that uproots the trees and flung the dark beasts in their vicinity.
Yet, even with this strong hit and combo, Arachnid regardless stood up soon after being mildly injured.
Then it stomped upon an A rank Dark Beast beneath and activated the skill [Life Leech].
[Life Leech: This skill converts a minuscule amount of life force from the dead into a force that heals wounds and injuries.]
With this skill, all damage that it received was healed and Arachnid was back to peak soon after.
But rather than firing on, Arachnid scampered in retreat expanding the space between it and the general
Vincent and Kargar were bewildered by this move. Nonetheless, They were not foolish enough to let it go as it did, but be it as it may, Arachnid was faster.
They saw that after Arachnid created more distance, It stopped and raised aloft its 4 front legs then dung into the scampering beasts beneath it, stabbing through four unfortunate beasts and instantly killing them.
Then something strange took place, The Dark beasts that were impaled by Arachnid's legs lost their shape, turned into mush, and were sucked up into the legs.
An odd scene that only made their intent to stop it stronger.
'Is this how the Gluttony skill it possesses works?' Vincent presumed.
He arrived at it first from below and slashed at Arachnid's front legs with the intent of decapitation.
A wave of fire and lightning blended ether went off from Firestorm and hit the legs then went off with a bang.

The smoke cleared soon after and the limbs showed no sign of harm. It just drew the beast's attention to Vincent.
Arachnid glared at him, Vincent's presence was still hidden with the [One With Nature] skill yet it was looking at him.
'Shit! It can see me through the skill' He thought in panic
'However, now that I have its attention I can lead it away from here.'
He planned to retreat. However, Arachnid had no plans to let him go
Vincent casts the [Lightning Burst] skill to retreat but upon contact with the ground, he sank.
He noticed that below him the once-solid ground was now sinking into a mud trap.
"What!" blurted out Vincent in surprise
Before he could try to free himself from the mud trap, His instincts flared up.
He looked up to see Arachnid's pincers coming towards him
'Fuck!' He cursed again, '[Portal Maker]'
On the cast of the skill, Two portals opened. One above him and the other right beside the first.
The pincer of the beast fell into the first hole in space and panned out from the other. This resulted in the jab narrowly missing Vincent
And because its attention was on Vincent, Kargar was able to slip in undetected or so he thought.
When he was near and about to attack, the beast's shadow sprung into life again in the form of seven tentacles.
Two of them pierced through both Kargar arms which made him flinch in pain and let go of his Warhammer.
Next, the residing five shadow tentacles lunged towards him. He tried to evade them by veering backward but as he did he unawares shrunk in size making him lose his footing.
'Fuck, I've reached my limit' Kargar thought in frustration
'Shit, the skill that makes him a giant must have had a limit.' Vincent figured, 'I have to help him'
He reached out to Kargar and produced another portal to teleport him to a location he forgot to specify in haste.
But thanks to this response the tentacles pierced nothing but Kargar was nowhere to be found, Then Vincent heard the distant sound of a portal opening from the still ongoing battle behind me
He focused his sight towards the source of the sound and found the missing General falling from the sky.
While falling Kargar shrunk more and more until he was at his regular size and when he landed, he did so with an Ether-infused punch that shook the area.
'Good he's safe, Now for this thing.'
Vincent used another [Portal Maker] to teleport out of the mud trap and onto a position further away.
'Kargar is compromised for now however the plan still stands, lead it away. But first, My suspicion'
[......]
[Name: Arachnid
Danger …..
….
….
Innate/Skill: …….., Great Mud Swamp (New), Intellect II (New)]
'So my speculation was right'
[Yes]
'But it absorbed 4 beasts but only got the skills of 2. This could either mean that 2 of the beasts did not have skills or the skill doesn't ensure the absorption of absorbed skills'
[All the beasts that were absorbed through the skill had skills]
'So it's the latter
'Sigh, This is so much harder. With this, it will be stupid of me to lead it away and stall it.''
[......]
[I suggest that you kill it now. Stalling would only make the situation more disadvantageous.]
'True, But to kill it I have to go all out, and going all out means that I would not be able to maintain the [One With Nature] skill and would risk exposing myself.'
'However, I don't have any choice. Letting this thing live any longer would not only be dire to me but would also be dire to everyone and everything it comes in the future.'
'I'm not a savior but I can't let that happen.'
[So are you ready?]
"Yes," Assured Vincent.
"[Thundra possession 4th F-]
A sudden voice interrupted his casting.
"[Flames of Pryde!!!]"
"Huh?" Vincent wondered where the voice came from until he looked to the sky to see a person with a flaming fist falling from it
"What the."

The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
