Since the start of the Dark Beast Hunt Event, The Arch-Angels of heaven have been watching Vincent on his journey.

As they watched him, they each had varying thoughts.

Raphael praised him for his ingenuity.

Gabriel admonished him for his recklessness wanting to go down and protect him personally.

Uriel lied in-between.

and Azazel……. Well, Azazel was focused on another thing.

He had the same mindset as Vincent during the time.

Azazel wondered why the S-Ranks and SS-Ranks were so rare, then his thoughts went to the Invading Demon that had managed to somehow evade their sight.

Over the day's something dreadful finally clicked.

He dashed over to the Orb of Earthly Omniscience pushing away Raphael who was, in turn, to watch over Vincent.

"Ouch!" She cried in pain, surprised at the sudden push.

She glanced at her pusher in anger ready to pounce on him but what she saw halted her movement, calmed her anger, and instead filled her with dread.

On the screen of the Orb of Earthly Omniscience, Dark beasts roamed, not one nor two but Hundreds.

They were all S-Ranks and SS-Ranks, which relieved the scene a little as there were no SSS-Ranks but again the numbers were not a laughing joke.

What made the atmosphere tenser was that the Dark Beast were all headed to Vincent's Location.

The Invading Demon has been frustrated, It severely underestimated Vincent's strength and also his intelligence.

Something it learned the hard way as Vincent never fought what he couldn't

In its annoyance, it tried to empower Dark Beasts with its energy after its death, but Vincent always finished off his opponents brutally leaving no room for regeneration.

It couldn't do this all the time lest he alerts the angels in heaven, and at the same time, it couldn't wait for Vincent's to use all of its life-saving times as it seemed more and more unlikely.

So it decided to enact a plan that was not only dangerous to Vincent but was also dangerous to it.

It went deeper into the forest in search of Dark Beasts to arouse

It planned to arouse the Dark Beasts within and cause a stampede but what he saw brought a smile to his face.

The monsters were already stampeding onwards to Aemplefort with Vincent in their course.

But it knew that Vincent had some kind of radar on Dark Beasts.

So it used the strength within it and covered the entirety of the Dark Beasts creating a shroud that erased the stampede's presence.

Then it moved back to Vincent and sneakingly slipped pasts his radar and influenced the device on his wrist

It then hid away, watching excitedly on the carnage that would soon unfold.

//// Vincent 3rd Person Pov ////

A week before the End of The Beast Hunt Event.

Vincent woke up feeling uneasy, to say the least, but he still got up and headed into a new section of the forest to hunt.

Vincent was for the most part oblivious to the oncoming stampede, but he felt on guard for some reason.

"Something feels off," He said to himself.

[Indeed], Even the system acknowledges that.

"No signs of Dark Beasts and nothing shows up on my radar for miles out"

"It's like all the monsters here are….. gone"

Feeling more uneasy as time passed, Vincent and the system agreed on sitting out today.

After all, he had already accumulated a lot of points that other contestants won't be able to bridge in a day.

So he turned back and began to move out of the forest.

Surprisingly on his way back, he came across someone he hadn't seen in a long time.

Ama Ivory has been unpredictable over the last few weeks.

She had let loose more of her hidden strength when she felt embarrassed with the number of points she had.

This effort brought up her kills and aided her to the third spot on the rankings just before Amelia who had upped her hunting time.

Recently she noticed the reduction in the number of Dark Beasts in the area, so she chose to change her hunting grounds.

On her way there she bumped into the familiar figure of Vincent which put her on guard.

Vincent stared mockingly at her, "Still wary of me." He said

"Take a guess." She said sarcastically.

"You know I wonder, even though we are of the same race you are somehow stupider than me."

"What," She said, stunned at the sudden insult.

"Why are you hiding your capabilities? You could easily be an A-Rank or an S." He said.

"It'll be idiotic to garner the attention of unwanted people like a certain someone." She snapped back.

"Indeed, Guess you must feel like an idiot when you realized that the risk is worth

it."

"As an A-B Rank, you don't get nearly the same attention as an A-A which must have frustrated you."

"So you decide to let loose a little and boost your rank when you realize that the risk was worth the gain."

"Now how does it feel to be an idiot?" Vincent ended with a smug smile on his face.

Ama admitted what he said which for some reason pissed her more than it should, the smug smile he had on didn't make it better.

She was just a breath away from drawing upon her Ether to set him on fire.

"Are you ever going to drop your illusion?" Vincent inquired.

"No," She retorted, "What about you," asked Ama

"Nah not really, It's super comfy" Vincent responded with a cheeky tone

"Are you just going to annoy me?"

"Nah not really, I'm just leaving. Oh, a piece of advice."

"What?" She asked annoyed but interested

"Go back, The forest doesn't….. feel safe."

"It would be a shame if a beautiful lady like you passed away," Vincent said in seriousness and the end teasingly

Then he jumped off the tree he was on and went on his way.

A few meters away from Ama he stopped and asked the system.

"What the fuck was that!" He asked

[Huh]

"What the fuck was that!" He repeated slowly

"Did…..Did I just flirt with her?" He asked, mildly horrified.

[Uhm….. Yes]

"........Why?"

[Well……… You are horny]

"......"

"You know, I am just not going to reply to that."

Vincent was about to continue on his way when he felt a great rumble that made him kiss his step and fall to the ground.

He nimbly touched down but did not get up as he felt the rumble coming to be stronger.

Vincent looked up to see the running figure of Ama, then looked behind her to see the most dreadful sight he had ever seen.

Hundreds of beasts just behind her, crazed in the eyes.

Then he knew what was occurring.

And he could only say

"Fuck!"
