This transformation ended when nicks forehead split open to reveal a vertical eye that unlike the other two had no sclera which is the white part of ones eyes instead the entire eye was a spiral of black law runes that constantly rotated making any who looked at it feels as though all their secrets were revealed. nick opened his eyes after breaking through to pseudo ascendancy as the only way to completely ascend was by surviving against the ascension tribulation. dark clouds rapidly gathered above nick as he familiarized himself with his new form that while much smaller than he was before felt far more powerful . the thing that intrigued nick the most was that his horns , eye and tail all served an actual purpose rather than just being decorations. his tail for instance acted as both an extra limb but also had the nifty ability to detect his surroundings behind him sort of like having eyes on the back of his head. his horns on the other hand had the unique ability to absorb curses and change them into fiend energy to add to his pool of energy.

As for the third eye nick grew he could tell that it had several uses but he couldn't figure out what they were at the moment so nick turned his attention to the ever denser clouds above his head that started to growl with red lightning as well as an odd golden lightning as well. nick was surprised at the golden lightening as he had read about the ascension tribulation in order to prepare himself and two separate types of lightening had never been seen during the ascension tribulation as far as he was aware so he could only ȧssume it had something to do with him breaking through in his body refinement at the same time as his qi cultivation. nick didn't have time to think about it any longer as a loud ring called out of the cloud telling nick that his tribulation was beginning. after the heavens sent its warning the first blot of red lightning the size of a thumb flew towards him which he clashed with a energy covered fist sending a shockwave out as the lightning collided and burst from the impact. immediately after the first bolt dissipated the second bolt twice as thick shot towards nick at even faster speed before being dissipated but another fist nick sent to meet it only this time the energy on his fist wavered slightly.

this confrontation occurred seven more times with each bolt having double the strength of the previous as by the ninth bolt ended nick had a haggard shape with most of his body being scorched and large portions of his flesh having been evaporated under the lightnings tyranny.. immediately after the ninth bolt dissipated an extremely profound energy rushed towards nick healing him back to full health only this time he had truly ascended with his qi cultivation however the ominous golden lightning still swam in the clouds above nick as though waiting for him to finish healing.
