《The destruction and creation system》Chapter 238 - Tribulation
Advertisement
Nick was amazed at the stubbornness shown by the people of lumis who rather than relocated to a safer area actually designed their buildings to withstand tsunamis as if to spite nature itself. nick and millea entered through the gate before heading to the local cultivator market where they looked over the goods displayed by the wondering cultivators and surprisingly nick managed to find a teacup with a technique imprinted on it behind a deception seal. in truth since nick used the system to identify most of the things he couldn't name off the top of his head there was no way he would miss nabbing a hidden treasure if he could help it. after paying what the rogue cultivator wanted for the cup nick and millea left lumis from the port since it was a tacit agreement between cultivators not to fly over cities since it riles up the mortals living in them. the last thing the cultivation community needs is for a massive amount of mortals to decide to try cultivating making the already limited resources dwindle even further. nick and millea flickered across the surface of the ocean like a pair of mirages as they headed towards the island she had mentioned at inhuman speeds.
It only took them two hours to arrive at this "small" island and as millea said there wasn't a single piece of grass anywhere in sight. using the system nick checked the island for any trace of abnormality but besides the fact that the soil was completely barren there wasn't any. seeing that it was safe nick nodded at millea who distanced herself in order to not be mislabeled as a helper and targeted by the heavens during the tribulation. nick stood in the middle of the island and closed his eyes then took a deep breath and then pushed both his qi technique as well as his body refinement technique to their limits which caused a a chain reaction that felt like two chains within himself strained before snapping flooding his body with power. from the outside it looked like nick started glowing in an aurora of colors while his body started to change shape as his skin became bright sliver. nick grew shorter until his almost three meter tall body was only around six feet tall but his body no longer looked like a body builder but more lean but this loss of size made him even more intimidating rather than less.

Two short horns grew from nicks forehead pointed upwards while law runes scrawled across his body like living ink and a thin whip-like tail with a sharp spike of bone at the end grew out and flicked in a predatory manner. on his hands his nails fell out and were replaced with hard black razor sharp pointed claws that glinted with a metallic sheen. if his mouth and eyes were open it would be seen that his teeth grew thick and sharp like a lion and his eyes changed into two glowing red serpent pupils while his hair turned crimson like blood.. theses changes took mere moments however they would prove vital too nick in the long run as finally the bloodlines in his body fused together to create a new bloodline that is unique to nick as well as will grow more powerful as he himself does.

Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn’t age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth’s hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. A for want of a nail fic I write in between moments when I'm working on my original story. Originally posted on FanFiction.net, but brought over here to allow people to compare it to my original work if they wish. The premise is as follows: Hide decides to pay Ken an early visit in the hospital. He cares too much to let his friend recover alone. A tiny change to the sequence of events, an entirely different story. Some bloody scenes, but no worse than the original story offered.
