Nick shook his head "if you want i can swear a heavenly oath that i have no intention to share my secrets." he said calmly. the young man was taken back by this but he quickly realized that nick was trying to force him to drop the lies he was so accustomed to using if he intended to press the issue. "there is no need for such a drastic measure if you just let my clan purchase this knowledge from you." the young man said refusing to fall into nicks verbal trap . nick chuckled when he saw how frustrated this man was becoming as he trapped him in a corner slowly. "well if what you say is true then i would also need to give this secret to your competitors in order to maintain the status quo since otherwise your clan would have an unfair advantage no?" nick said with a mocking grin. the young man had an ugly expression after hearing what nick said as well as having seen his mocking expression as he knew he had been played like a fiddle. "do you wish to make an enemy out of the ingred clan" he said dropping the pretenses.
Nicks grin grew even larger after the young man spoke. "hold that thought" he said before calling the goddess through her dark space which she responded to by appearing next to nick with an excited expression. "you called dearest~" she said in a song like voice. nicks eye twitched at the last word she spoke but let it go. "is there a clan called ingred that you know of ?" he asked her calmly. she looked disappointed that this was why she was called but answered any way "there was an intermediate level clan with that name before the demon reemergence but the strongest of them was merely slightly into the tier above void completion so they weren't considered dangerous by most organizations at the higher ranks." she said dismissively. the young man heard the goddess speak of her clan in such a way and grew angry and was going to attack but before he did anything his instincts warned him of immediate death if he continued so he f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y suppressed his actions. "and who might you be miss?" he asked while barely holding his anger in check. the goddess looked at this young man for the first time since she got here and immediately put the pieces together that nick was allowing her to handle this foolish person from the ingred clan. "my name is millea." she said and immediately the surroundings lost there light as the world acknowledged that a deity had spoken their true name which was tied to the laws of the world itself. the young mans anger immediately drained away and was replaced with terror as he realized that he had tried to threaten someone fawned upon by a goddess.
