Nick shrugged his shoulders "you should relax , after all I'll soon leave your clan after the inheritance land." nick said before standing next to jakob. the group left after that by heading over the farmlands next to the clans city and towards one of the surrounding mountains where before they reached it nick felt the space shift slightly proving that they were in another dimension just a moment ago. looking back nick could no longer see the welk clans city but just an overgrown wild valley. " in the mine on the mountain ahead there is the inheritance area that was found by accident not long ago. once you enter your lives are entirely your own responsibility so don't get c.o.c.ky and die." the clan leader said while leading the youths up the mountain. soon the group reached the mine in question and after being lead through the several shafts the clan leader stopped in front of an open door with a thin film of energy blocking the entrance as well as any senses trying to enter. "this in an age lock that prevents people above a certain bone age from entering which we discovered to be fifty , any questions?"

The group looked at each other to see who would stand out first only to pause their gazes on the figure of nick casually walking towards the film of energy before passing through it calmly. no one not even the clan leader expected such an action so they just stood there in shock at nicks boldness before the rest of the youths charged into the film not wanting to be outdone by an outsider. in the end the clan leader stood in front of the film with an irritated expression since he knew that perhaps only nick had assurances about his safety. 'no matter i doubt it will be so easy to gain the inheritance just because he was the first to enter.' the clan leader thought before freezing as the entire group including nick appeared outside the film of energy which then collapsed in on itself. "can someone please tell me what just happened!" the clan leader exclaimed. one of the youths from the welk clan looked at the clan leader looking aggrieved. "sir it turns out that we were being tested as soon as we entered the mine and after entering the age lock we found out that only two of us passed." the youth said with a sour look.

The welk clan leader had an ominous premonition and couldn't help but ask who passed. the youth pointed at nick and jakob who were to busy trading between each other to notice what was going on. the clan leader felt like he swallowed a fly when he learned that nick had indeed gotten the inheritance though he felt a little better when he remembered that jakob had also gotten some of it.
