Nick greeted the clan leader but didn't expose his terrible acting since he didn't intend to cut all ties with the welk clan. the clan leader tried to pry out any information from nick about anything useful but as nick was aware of his intentions he failed horribly which made his face twitch slightly. "so how is the little dude i left with you?" nick asked after toying with the clan leader a bit. the clan leader stiffened instantly when nick asked about azdra since in truth the clan leader had completely forgotten about the small wyrm. "to be honest i have left it with the elder who sent you for the test so i honestly don't know." the clan leader said honestly since there was no point in hiding information nick would eventually get anyways. there was a slight pause in nicks steps while he frowned deeply for a moment but soon went back to being stone faced after saying "i see". the clan leader didn't know why but he felt a slight chill when he saw nicks frown but thankfully nothing happened. soon the two men reached the cave that had the elder wyrm much to the relief of the clan leader.
Nick didn't even wait to be invited in before walking into the cave calmly which the clan leader could only follow. nick reached the cavern with the elder wyrm who was busy tossing around azdra playfully only azdra was now the size of a medium sized dog. "oi big lizard i finished your test!" nick yelled out with obvious disrespect which made the clan leader look at nick like he was insane while he quickly distanced himself for fear of being implicated. the elder wyrm stopped playing with azdra when it heard nick before turning to stare at nick in amazement. "you do realize that if i wasn't so good natured that comment of yours could get you killed right?" the wyrm said confused. nick grinned "of course i do but who asked you to send me after a stygian bear." nick said with a slight irritation. the elder wyrm snorted "and yet here you are bothering a poor old wyrm like me , oh woe is me." the wyrm said sarcastically. nick sighed and gave up since he knew that he wouldn't get a leg above this person since they had this type of attitude.

Nick threw down the corpse of the stygian bear before looking the elder wyrm right in the eyes "here's the stygian bear you wanted now i believe you can allow the little one to return to me." he said refused to look away. the elder wyrm sighed " truthfully i was aware that getting this bear wouldn't be a problem for you since i was the one who caught this particular bear to begin with." he said causing nicks eyes to grow wide. "you knew about that thing?!" he yelled in shock as it finally made sense why the first test for the inheritance just so happened to be the exact creature he was hunting.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction. A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
