This was devastating news to the king as he wanted to attempt exactly that before he saw nicks last fight. "you have a technique don't you ?" the king asked hopefully. nick sighed "while its true i do indeed have a technique spreading such things is quite taboo." nick said a half truth. the complete truth is that it is taboo for cultivators to spread techniques wantonly as it would stress the supply chain for resources if everyone became a cultivator so while it may reveal a few geniuses it would harm the entire cultivating community in the long run but giving a hand full of people on a planet with no cultivators a technique is completely fine. the king looked desperate "please teach me , i don't want to grow weak!" he pleaded anxiously. nick was surprised at the kings desperation "why are you wanting to cultivate for that you would be so desperate?" he asked confused. the king sighed "in truth i am perfectly content with not cultivating and in fact i didn't even know anything about this energy until a few days ago when my son was practicing in this very garden when the energy suddenly surged and damaged his body." he said sadly.

Nick was confused at the kings story since an increase in natural qi shouldn't harm someone normally. "when you say it damaged his body exactly what do you mean?" nick asked confused. the king explained that his son started coughing up blood while his body temperature rose to frightening levels. nick was stunned at this information not because it was unheard of as such events were well recorded but rather because he never thought a place with such low amounts of qi would house such a thing. what the king described was the awakening of an innate elemental physique specifically one of the fire element. nick patted the king on the shoulder "your son is fine what is happening to him is actually very beneficial to him." nick said honestly.

the king was confused "how is this beneficial?" he asked. "your son for some unexplainable reason has a fire elemental physique what he is currently undergoing is what is know as the awakening process." nick said while explaining what that meant. once he knew his son was not in danger the king relaxed visibly like he was relieved of a massive burden. "Though your son is not in danger because of his physique i will still give him some fire related resources as well as a basic technique because even i believe his talent would be wasted if he didn't get any guidance." nick said before handing a space ring to the king and telling him how to use it before excusing himself.
