《The destruction and creation system》Chapter 168 - Truth revealed

Bellania was upset that she couldn't learn more from nick since if even a fraction of what he said was true she could easily change the world. one thing still bothered her though , and that was how did nick know of these things if her world could barely allow one to start cultivating much less advance to the higher tiers nick described. meanwhile a certain group was having a headache as they tried to figure out how to kill nick. "could we win with numbers?" one of the members asked. "no , if we had an army then maybe we could use numbers to overwhelm the target but we are merely of fourteen strong." the leader said with a frown. "what about poison?" another member asked. "I'm afraid if what the target said is true poison is even more pointless since he would either be immune to what we have or would be aware of the tells they leave behind." the leader explained. the young man with blonde hair was sitting in the center of the room with a scowl on his face. "can nothing truly be done to remove that man from bellania hartfells side?" he asked seriously.
The leader sighed "I'm sorry sir but if there is something capable of forcing the target away it is beyond our means." he said apologetically. the young man sighed "so be it call off the hunt since there is no point in wasting time on a fruitless effort." he said with a tone of resignation. back at the hartfell mansion nick was sitting at a large circular table with bellania , victoria , bellanias father Lucian and bellanias younger brother Ivan. lucian was a relatively large man with short black hair and fierce green eyes that seemed to stare into ones soul while ivan took after his father looking almost identical to his father with the exception of being thinner. the lunch that the kitchen had cooked was a small platter of egg sandwiches on rough white bread. each person at the table grabbed three sandwiches each before lucian struck up a conversation. "so mark I'm told you are dating my daughter , is this true?" he said seriously. nick shook his head calmly "I'm afraid that information is not entirely accurate you see i intend to run from king and your daughter decided to back me , and in exchange i would play the part of her boyfriend."

Nick explained the truth without any hesitation which caused lucian to look at his daughter for confirmation that this was true. bellania avoided her fathers gaze in embarrassment which all but confirmed what nick said. lucian nodded " i see , might i ask as to why she chose you in particular for this role?" he asked curiously. nick shrugged "while i dare not say i know for certain i am fairly sure i know why i was chosen for this role." nick said calmly. lucian raised an eyebrow "oh , well do enlighten us." he said calmly. "if i am not mistaken i was chosen for one of two reasons , the first is that someone she dislikes is trying to pursue her and the second is to show off to the other noble girls at the kings party tomorrow." nick said honestly.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment. You can also vote for it on Top Web Fiction and rate it on Web Fiction Guide. Member of The Order of Phantasmal Architects.

The Demon of Shadows (Hiatus)
Spartans. Genetically modified supersoldiers who participated in the spartan program, which aimed to reinforce and compensate for the humans capability of emotion in order to create the ideal supersoldier. The program itself resulting in the implantation of a limiter for a certain individual, which acted in limiting that persons emotions. Replacing it with a cold logical based calculative mindscape. The limiter aimed to support the ideal supersoldier in completing the objectives assigned to them. Be it mass slaughter, or assasination. One such man who had volunteered to participate in the program to provide data in return for a large sum of money to save a precious friend, has his life lost in battle after years of service and mindless violence. Death, however, was something he usually gave, not to receive. So when death comes to take his life, he awaits in silence, only to be dumbfounded at what is to happen next. This is the story of Nicholas Gray, the Shadow Demon. Note: Story is based on other LitRPGs found on the site such as Dante's Immortality, Necromancer and Co, etc. and on Halo for the majority of the first chapter and possibly later on down the road, I only borrowed things such as the armour and weapons used in the game itself and all credit goes to them for that kind of stuff. I will also perhaps use it to explain his backstroy to further character progression if I can. The cover photo was also a picture I found on the internet and if you wish for credit or for me to take it down just say so and i'll do it as fast as possible. I also don't have a set schedule, and this is just being used to improve my grammar and just as a hobby, nothing more. I will also appreciate feedback in regards to grammar, style, and story in general as this is the first time I have created a story apart from at school, hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!

Fire and Shadows. Legend of the breaker. (Hiatus until ??)
Traditions lost, books burned, ancient knowledge forever spurned. It began with fire, the great Sirionean, all dominating desert creating pyre. And it ended thusly just aswell, t'was the great Empire's deathknell. The crackling of the burning books, dangling corpses on rusty hooks. The yellow streets of Heabury proper, colored red with human copper. -? S.V, Scholar of Dawn.' -- Author note: Hi, SeV here. I'm not a fan of writing my entire story premise in the synopsis. For that, read the prologue and chapter 1. Suffice it to say that I think it's a cool idea and I already have a few things planned and a world sort of formed in my mind. I like Epic fantasy, lightnovels with OP MCs, Litrpg, sci-fi, any many other things. This story is written for myself, so it may include all sorts of diffent elements and character interactions and even experimental things that I'm trying out as a writer in order to improve. My intention with this is to pretty much post as I write, and acquire feedback from you folks in the process. I of course hope you like my story, but feel free to criticize anything since this is a project to improve myself. Even if it isn't strictly criticism, any feedback positive or negative is welcome since I am interested in what other people think of my writing style and what I can improve on. Since it's growing generically I'll be interested in your thoughts and speculations on future events and any suggestions moving forward will be taken into consideration. Hope you enjoy my stuff. - SeV
