Nick understood why bellania was smiling when he heard the the requirements. "and I assume you are going to fill the first requirement if i accept your invitation correct?" nick asked calmly. bellania laughed "i like you already you learn quickly , so to reiterate you'll play the part of my boyfriend and I'll support your campaign for king , deal?" she said while holding her hand out which grasped and shook. "deal , however know that it will never go further than me acting like your boyfriend." nick said seriously. bellania frowned slightly but let out a sigh of defeat. "well i suppose that's the best i can hope for so that fine. now on to business , where are you going to be staying so i know were to find you in case you are needed for your part." bellania said calmly. nick thought for a moment " i will probably stay at the edge of the city walls in an isolated area since i wouldn't like to be disturbed for unimportant reasons." nick said seriously. bellania raised an eyebrow at what nick said.
"If you didn't want to be disturbed for unimportant reasons there are other places you could stay whats the real reason you want to stay in that area?" bellania asked curiously. nick laughed "rather sharp yourself , the true reason is that i don't want anyone to see me train so they can't make plans around me." nick said calmly. bellania nodded "that makes sense since you would need to fight the other candidates in a tournament to find out which is the strongest which while not the most important thing needed it certainly helps quite a bit." she said honestly. the two chatted about a few topics of little importance after that till they finally entered the city an hour later at which point nick said his farewells before parting with the carriage and making his way around the city walls to find a place to stay. nick walked for about twenty minutes before he found a part of the city that was overgrown and had a rundown wooden shack barely holding together. nick thought this spot was perfect since the area obviously didn't have much traffic so he could cultivate in peace. yes the real reason nick wanted to be isolated was so no-one noticed the energy fluctuations he released while cultivating.

The first thing nick did was clear out the rampant plantlife before he demolished the old shack and using the system replaced it with a small one room house made of a tough granite stone that made the building look very strong but otherwise bland. the interior however revealed that the small building was merely the entrance to a stairway that went twenty feet below the ground before opening into a massive complex of several rooms with different purposes that put even the most luxurious mansion in this world to shame with artificial lighting and gold and marble like materials making up the walls and ceiling. there was one room in particular that had an array in it that gathered the small amount of qi that existed on this planet so that nick could cultivate even if slowly. what nick was unaware of was that by placing that array set this planet down the path of having more qi since it was a universal rule that on any planet the amount of qi available is always greater than what is used so by using the qi nick unintentionally increased the amount on the planet and while this increase was minuscule at the moment it will reach the b.a.r.e minimum for qi s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e individuals to start feeling it.

The Merchant Prince Book 1: Returning Home
Enter a world of deceit and assassins. Augustus DeCastellian is a member of a wealthy merchant family, with ports all over the known world. He is sent on a voyage to new lands to open trade routes, but when he returns he will need to fight, using his tools of manipulation and cunning, for what he is owed.Author's note: This story is somewhat slow-paced, especially in comparison to the norm on Royal Road. The first three chapters act almost as a prologue, to give you a feel for what the rest of the story will be like. So, I suggest new readers try to get to the end of chapter 3 before deciding if this story is for them.A few of my reviews have said that this story is abnormal for Royal Road. I agree with that sentiment, at least based on what I've read on the site. It was just an idea that was in my head, that I began trying to write once my hobbies were cancelled due to the virus. I found Royal Road after I started writing it. Honestly, it's probably not even tailored for the web-novel format. But it's the story I wanted to tell. Discord: https://discord.gg/sk63gep

This mission was supposed to be a standard one. Get behind enemy lines, kill the metal puppets, destroy the flying fortress, escape with body and life intact. I need that.” Said the old man, giving her a chance to go back out there and fight once more. Matthias is a struggling writer finally able to move into his first solo apartment.
