Nick thought his plan was perfect and in any normal kingdom it would have been however this particular kingdom was rather unique in that its king did not inherit the throne but rather that he was elected by the citizens to take up that position. "i was wondering if you might want to join me to the kings birthday as my date?" bellania asked with a blush. nick was taken back by how forward bellania was since despite just meeting nick mere moments before. "excuse me if i sound rude but i literally just met you." nick said honestly. bellania froze when she heard nick before she quickly explained herself. "oh no i didn't mean it in the manner you think , in fact i wanted to use you in order to make the other girls jealous nothing more apologize for the misunderstanding." bellania explained quickly. nick nodded "i understand however why should i accept?" he asked seriously. bellania was unfazed by this question "i would guess you are here to attempt to get elected as king correct?" she asked causing nick to frown thinking she may have some sort of mind reading ability.

Bellania understood nicks frown "no need to worry i can't read minds your objective was simply too easy to guess , after all it is common knowledge that the king plans to abdicate in a few years so now would be the best time to start campaigning to be the next king." she explained calmly. nick was both relieved and confused by what bellania said since she said people were campaigning for the position of king. "shouldn't the princes automatically assume the throne?" nick voiced his concerns. bellania shook her head "i see you aren't aware of how this kingdom is run , well its not that surprising really since most would assume this kingdom is run in the same way as others but the fact is that it is not." she said surprising nick "what do you mean it's not run the way most kingdoms are?" nick asked getting a bad feeling about the answer. bellania confirmed his fears " when a new king is needed people begin campaigning for the position and the best one for the position is selected to take it. in this way the kingdom is always improving rather than having the high chance of one of the rotten individuals in the royal family taking power."

Nick internally cursed before he disbanded his clone recovering his full strength which created a small bit of airflow which bellania merely thought was a draft. "i see well i wasn't planning to run for king but i will now. anyways i assume there are some restrictions for who can run for king mind filling me in on them?" nick asked calmly. bellania smiled "as a matter of fact there are a few requirements to qualify." she said with a sly smile. "the first is to have someone respectable from one of the five founding families vouch for you, the second is that one must be no older than thirty and the last is that one must be a skilled warrior." she said honestly.
