The elder wyrm looks down at nick in confusion 'that was definitely not a world level law so how did this young one use it at his level , this is rather concerning.' he thought worried. nick began to stir after about five minutes and actually woke up a few moments later. opening his eyes nick winced as he felt a sharp pain throughout his whole body. "ugh , what happened and why do i feel like a train hit me." he said not actually expecting an answer. "well first you definitely used something that your body simply couldn't handle and second whats a train?" the wyrm asked curiously. nick froze when he heard the wyrm before looking up to see a massive set of eye looking at him curiously. ignoring the pain nick leaped away before taking a defensive position. the wyrm scoffed at nick "now that's just rude young one." he said admonishing nick. nick focused hard to try to figure out how he ended up here before the memories came to him. completely ignoring how clearly outmatched he was nick glared at the wyrm "you!" he said venomously.

The wyrm grew serious "so you remember then well that simplifies things , first that was supposed to be a test but since it seems you've had some experience with losing those close to you , you snapped so i had to knock you unconscious which brings us to where we are now." he said simply. nick was both relieved and pissed at the wyrms words. "why didn't you say anything!" nick said angrily. the wyrm snorted "it wouldn't be much of a test if you knew about it plus its kinda your fault it ended up like this since you seemed to appear out of nothing." he said defending himself. nick wanted to argue but realized it would probably be better if he didn't. "well , what now?" nick asked. the wyrm sighed "honestly speaking i didn't think that far ahead since my original would have worked on literally anyone but someone with your particular experiences." he said calmly. "so to summarize you have no idea." nick said questioningly. the wyrm nodded "yep that pretty much sums it up." the wyrm said honestly. nick was stunned 'why do i feel like the ancient wise reptile in this situation?' the wyrm looked at nick "you just thought something bad about me didn't you?"

Nick paused "i have no idea what you are talking about." he said sweating mentally. the wyrm looked at nick suspicious "well it doesn't matter , i decided the perfect test for you." he said with a sly glint in his eyes. nick recognized that glint since yin yun had that same glint when she tried to steal wine from him. "I'm listening." he said while preparing for the worst. the wyrm chuckled "the test is simple you just need to bring me a stygian bear , that's all." he said before sending nick out of the cavern before he could speak. "gods damn that stinking lizard!" nick cursed angrily. the reason nick was so angry was that a stygian bear was a tier six demon beast at minimum while a tier eight at max in other words nick had to kill a beast as strong as a void entering level cultivator which even for nick was a massive task. the clan leader showed up with jakob at this point looking a little more cautious now. "did you settle the matter with the guardian?" jakob asked cautiously since that was terrifying even by nicks normal standards.
