"Really , whats the catch?" nick asked with a knowing look. jakob sighed "well there are actually two catches that my clan asked for." he said seriously. nick grew curious "those must be some pretty big catches for you to be so serious go ahead tell me what they are ." nick said with an interested look. jakob sighed again "the first isn't that big of a deal as all it was is for you to bring azdra to meet the guardian wyrm."jakob paused to observe nicks reaction but continued when he saw nick didn't react. "the second thing is the really big one , they want you to give the clan your method for body strengthening." jakob said before feeling the air grow colder. nicks expression darkened and a small amount of bloodl.u.s.t escaped his body." quite greedy aren't they." he said coldly while jakob broke out in a cold sweat. the bloodl.u.s.t vanished immediately as nick forcefully calmed himself. "they can give up on the second thing however i will give them the recipe for the two pills i gave you instead." nick said with a sly grin.

In truth even if someone were to get nicks recipes they would be basically useless without the method for alchemy that nick had so while it might sound like nick was giving up something valuable in fact he was scamming them as payback for their greed. jakob understood nick well enough to know that he definitely didn't give in to his clans wishes but considering how greedy the clan had been with their request he didn't care. "alright let me contact the clan and see if this change is enough." jakob said before pulling out a golden medallion emblazoned with the image of a red moon with a carp in the middle of it. pressing the medallion to his forehead jakob sent some qi into it along with the message of nicks response. the medallion shone briefly as a reply entered jakobs mind after which jakob removed the medallion from his forehead and placed it back in his space ring. "they accepted on the condition that you provide two of the pills for testing and comparison." jakob said seriously while nick nodded in acceptance. "i expected they might say something like that but i can easily comply with that so its fine."

Shortly afterwards jakob and nick began their preparations for the inheritance ground which may have any number of unknown test so they prepared for literally any possible scenario. "i just finished with the purification talismans in case we need to survive underwater or in a poison field." nick said. "I've got aura locking talismans so we can find each other if we get separated." jakob said. both men nodded at the other "then we have everything we might need lead the way." nick said with a grin. jakob smirked before taking out a token which he flipped into the air. the token spun about five feet above jakobs hand before it started to release pulses of energy. as the token started to fall it looked like it acted as a zipper as an opening in the fabric of space started from its initial point and stopped when it touched the ground. "now that's just showing off." nick said jealously. jakob grinned proudly "of course! after all i don't get much opportunity to since you are so monstrous."
