nick kept his face expressionless while he placed the vault in his inventory and then acted like he was bored of waiting and left casually with lo mia. after getting a safe distance away lo mia stops nick "did you get the vault?" she asked excitedly. nick nodded at her "lets get back to my place in the swamp before we open it , wouldn't want to cause a commotion and have to share now would we?" he said teasingly. lo mia pouts at nicks teasing before she agrees with him and they head back the academy faster than they did to the sect area , mostly because they weren't attacked this time as well as that nick was actually trying to get to the academy quickly since he still wanted to upgrade his defenses and purification array since his professions had advanced. before it had taken the two several hours to get to the valley with the sect but the time it took to get back was merely two hours. the total time the two were gone from the academy was all total a day and a half which was fairly normal. they did stop in the city where they browsed some items being sold in the bazaar before they arrived back in the hall where they had signed out before right at midday. the person at the counter this time however was not the girl from before but a spritely young man who was doing his job with a smile on his face setting him drastically apart from the girl from before. the youth noticed the two as they walked in and waved them over. "ah , coming back from some charged romance i take it?" the youth said with a laugh. lo mia blushed violently while nick was more surprised than anything. "no,we went to check out a fallen sect to see if we could find anything useful." nick responded calmly. the youth nodded "i see , i do hope it was a fruitful trip for you both , that aside i'll need you names in order to mark to both as having returned." he said with a polite tone. after giving the man their names he went through the records before finding the one about the two leaving where he marked it as them returning on this date. at this point the formalities were complete so nick and lo mia bid the man a good day before leaving the hall and quickly traveling to nicks swamp which of course had not changed in the short time they had been gone with the exception that the creatures nick had added had final settled in. at the edge of the swamp where nick had set the detection formation nick quickly improved the formation by adding an extra layer that acted to keep the creatures from leaving the formation. the reason nick didn't do this earlier was that he simply couldn't as every three tiers an extra layer can be added to a formation meaning that at nicks previous profession rank he could only have one layer but now that he was at three he could add another , it wasn't just this profession that this applied to either but rather all of them had a dividing line of not just strength but complexity every three tiers. so after upgrading the formation nick headed to his sanctuary in the middle of the swamp which only took a few minutes. after arriving nick improved the purification array by adding another layer that acted to project an illusion that made the sanctuary appear to look like the surrounding areas. as for the rest of the arrays nick just basically just doubled their effects with the exception of the self-destruction array which he decided to ignore till he was alone since it would be pointless if someone else knew about it.
