nick looked at the sword at his waist which he felt an inflated sense of pride which he immediately ignored. he sighed at the headache he had somehow gotten himself into since he knew that if someone gets a treasure far beyond his strength his life is in danger. "something wrong?" lo mia asked not understanding nicks sigh. "yes and no, yes because my sword is far too valuable and no because other than hat i'm fine."nick said calmly. lo mia looked at nick confused. "how would they know the value of the sword without you saying anything about the spirit?" she says confused. nicks eyes grow wide as he realizes shes right. after settling everything in the now missing square they set off towards the main hall where the treasury should be located as was standard in the sects.
meanwhile in the darkest pit of hell a massive army of shadowy figures had gathered. the air swirled with a thick purple energy that thrummed as though filled with anticipation. In the air above the swarm of fiendish beings a humanoid creature that was two meters tall and had grey skin with glowing purple cracks randomly streaked across the visible parts of the body. Each finger ended with black claws ,each elbow had a sharp black spike about an inch long while a thin whip-like tail and large webbed wings sprouted from the creatures back. the creatures head was almost like a normal human males face except that it was bald with two spiral horns that grew from the side above the ears . a deep powerful voice boomed from its mouth speaking the common tongue . "fellow demons!" the area grew quiet. " long ago the races of restrus banished our race to this decrepit place mercilessly!" the army starts roaring and cursing the races of restrus before the flying demon raised its hand silencing the army. "however a few of our human servants who escaped the cleansing of the other races managed to repopulate their species and are now the dominant race on the planet. they developed ways to cultivate and now stand equal even to the despicable angels. as a result our race must strike the human race hard so that they can not interfere with our return!" the army howled as they released their blood l.u.s.t causing the air above them to shift and swirl.

nick and lo mia make their way to the main hall of the sect where a large group of cultivators are gathered as they all try to open the massive door that should be the vault . 'system , appraise that door!' nick mentally commanded.
*ding*
*appraising.... complete.*

after reading the appraisal nick sent a qi message to lo mia telling her that the doors were a lie and that he was going to try to find the real vault . lo mia was surprised that nick knew that the door was false but chose to trust him as he is a very honest person in her opinion. nick went around the room casually which made the other people think he was waiting for the vault to open so they ignored him , in fact nick was actually appraising every item he found to try and figure out where the vault is surprisingly nick even found an item with a spirit albeit only a flame ranked one but a spirit nonetheless . eventually nick found a horrible looking jade cup that had cracks all over it and was covered in dirt but the appraisal showed an entirely different side.

Swindle
—A Celebration of all things chess... Shounen Sports–manga Style. Anasthese is the current reigning World Champion for the Junior Chess Female Division. For years, she's wanted nothing more than to beat the Male Division Champion, Rei. These two are considered prodigies way ahead of their age; none of their peers even come close to holding a candle against them. But be that as it may, Anasthese too, cannot hold a candle to Rei... She's never beaten Rei once he's serious. Anasthese has always considered Rei the best of her generation. It's her lifelong goal to beat and surpass him. That's why, when Rei's cancer had become fatal after their 3rd year running, Anasthese took it hard. Rei will die, with her never having beaten him, not even once. Things take an unexpected turn when Rei reveals that he is far from the "invincible" player Anasthese envisions him to be. Even he has someome he could never beat, not even if his life depended on it... a fellow apprentice who studied with him under GM Amane. A guy so-called "Net". This enrages Anasthese. A person stronger than Rei should not exist. Because if he did, then what has all her efforts for the past years been for? And if this Net "does" exist, why doesn't he challenge Rei for the title? Rei tells her it's not that simple... Net's playstyle is void. It's an enigma. It's chess that should not exist, and should physically not be possible to play. It goes against all logic, and it's power is not something that can be measured in numbers. It's something that would "absolutely not work" in a professional setting. Anasthese attends Rei's funeral as a last rite before setting off for Japan, bound towards the disintegrating Futenma Shintenkan Highschool chessclub, of which there are only two members left: Mukuro and Net. She has to see it with her own eyes, a playstyle that Rei lost to... And as Anasthese stays for the long-term, various misadventures are started at Futenma High, including rebuildung the club, Anasthese's "Royal Guards" (four girls dedicated to serving Anasthese and helping challenge Rei) coming to take her back to America, and unexpected guests gracing the local Sports Meet chess scene. From a guy who can only play well everytime money's involved, to a girl who plays on a weird "Magical Girls vs Orcs" chess set, get introduced to the quirky playstyles that make chess wonderful. (Disclaimer: I am not a chess pro, I'm only 1400. Expect me to have no idea what I'm talking about at certain times...)

Artifice: Iysinfyr
Nalulthyn is the young daughter of a duke that is one day asked for a favor. This favor involves the adopted daughter of the duke from a neighboring area. This girl has had a traumatic past and has closed herself off from the world completely and reacts violently when touched by anyone but her personal maid. The duke hopes that a girl close to the age of his adoptive daughter will be what she needs to recover, but things are never as easy as they seem. First is that this adopted daughter is a Terran, a rare being from a different world that has skin and hair as white as snow and an almost alien build. Second is that there is a power to this girl, one that makes her recovery all the more dangerous to Nalulthyn and perhaps beyond. Author's note: This is a soft reboot of Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As I wrote the other story years ago I felt it would be better to do this approach as my writing has changed and improved since then. For now only two characters will return though I might reintroduce others later in the story. Even though this has the gore tag, I don't plan on being excessive with it. Most chapters shouldn't have any. The only reason I have it is to be realistic with the descriptions.

Destinatus
Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.
