《The destruction and creation system》Chapter 78 - What?

Nick was shocked at the systems announcement not because its was strange but because it revealed information about the system to him. It showed him that the system has hidden functions that he wasn't aware of as well as that completing hidden mission would probably reward him extremely well. Beyond that nick was surprised he was given a supreme roulette ticket as the last time he got one he got a divine bloodline which has been incredibly useful till this day. Excited nick immediately wanted to use the ticket. 'System, open the roulette!' He commanded.
*Ding*
*opening roulette.... Searching for tickets.... Supreme ticket found , do you wish to use it?*
'Yes.' Nick answered slightly annoyed at the question.
*approval granted spinning the roulette.*
A huge multicolored wheel spears in nicks vision with all the different categories that the roulette could choose from. The wheel spins rapidly at first before slowing down and stopping on and icon of a book before it fades out of nicks vision.
*Ding*
*divine tier skill manual obtained.*
Nick wasn't surprised that the roulette gave him another divine tier item as he had basically understood how the roulette system worked , it was fairly straight forward really basically the highest ranked ticket will only give him the highest tier item he can handle at the moment from a random category whereas the tickets below that has a chance to do the same but is more likely to give him a lower tier item instead so basically only the supreme ticket is completely able to give him the best tier possible every time whereas every rank below that it is reduced greatly until it is merely a tiny chance of the item being at the highest tier. Nick opened his inventory and pulled out the skill manual in order to inspect it. The manual was about ten inches tall and five inches wide with a red leather binding and glowing gloss trim on the edges giving the manual a lofty feel. Nick opened the manual to the first page in order to find the name for the skill and he did. "Cosmic furnace." Nick muttered with an excited look on his face before flipping the page and almost spitting up blood from what he read. The writings on the page were as follows:to whomever has obtained this manual , congratulations! This manual contains my entire lifes work on the most glorious thing in existence including how to prepare it to the highest quality , may you push it to new heights. Bachus , god of wine.

Nicks face was extremely ominous to look at as anger, disappointment and embarrassment all crossed his face simultaneously. Yin yun walked over to nick curious why he looked like someone just pissed in his coffee. "What's wrong with that manual , isn't it divine tier?" She asked curiously. Nick calmed down then let out a deep sigh before handing the manual to yin yun while looking depressed. Yin yun was extremely curious what the manual could be about to cause her new master to look so distraught. As yin yun grabbed the manual she could easily tell how high quality the materials merely used to bind the book were causing her to be amazed at that alone. She opened the book to the first page just as nick had done before her and was rather excited at the title just as nick was before her however when she read what was written on the second page her reaction was very different from nicks where nick had been extremely upset she was extremely thrilled at the writings as unknown to nick she was a huge fan of wine. She was such a fan that back when she had enough energy to manifest shortly after her creation she would steal wine from the members of the sect including the sect master himself! This of course had caused no end of trouble for her former master since rather than let anyone take her off his hands he would reimburse her victims himself for their wine.

ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
