Old sun looks at the messager "did she state her purpose here?" He asked seriously. The messager took a deep breath "yes she said she was here to apologize." he said. old sun and the other elders were surprised by this reason as it wasn't what they were expecting in the slightest.. "Does this have anything to do with that kid?" One of the elders spoke up. Everyone in the room passed for a moment before they all had the same thought. 'The kid must have something to do with this.'

The dragon princess was waiting patiently outside the academies gates while rubbing the ring on her finger nervously 'i hope this ring works right.' She prayed silently. After a few moments the academies gates opened to reveal old sun who was eyeing her cautiously. "Might I be so bold as to ask what you are here to apologize for?" He inquires. The dragon princess looks embarrassed for a moment before speaking "my father got ahead of himself when he believed he found the perfect match for myself and marked that person." she paused looking embarrassed "it was only after I asked my father about that person was it that we learned of his great mistake. The truth is that my father forgot to check that person's past before he marked him and asked such was unaware of that persons great aversion to forced marriage." She finished looking defeated. Old sun was confused so he couldn't help but ask "great aversion?" The dragon princess was startled by the question "do you not know?" She asked seriously. Old sun nodded. She was surprised by this as it seemed like something the academy would be aware of. "According to my father that person seems to believe in only marrying for love as opposed to arranged marriage to the point of almost being heartless in defending himself from it." She explains calmly. A strange expression forms on old suns face as he thought about the two girls from the trials. 'Indeed now that i think about it he was quite heartless when dealing with both of those girls, especially that first girl he almost killed her out of desperation at the end of that fight.' He confirms mentally. Old sun looks toward the dragon princess as a look of pity crosses his face. "Lass I don't suppose your father gave you any details about that kids drive to not get forced into marriage did he." He says with pity. The dragon princess sees the pity old sun has before she get nervous "no ,is it truly that bad?" She asked worried. Old sun sighs before explaining what nick has done in order to avoid being forced to marry. The dragon princess is relieved that she decided to apologize rather than listen to her father because from what old sun told her there is a massive chance her worst case scenario would come true otherwise. After thinking about it for a moment she comes to a decision. "I have decided." She announced. Old sun was taken back ."you decided what?" He asked curious. The dragon princess smiles brightly. "I have decided to join this academy!" She says determined. Old sun was stunned. "You aren't going to try to force the marriage issue right?" Old sun asked seriously. "No , I'm going to put in the effort and try to steal his heart without him knowing." She says with a grin.
