"You all set for the exams?" Jakob asked while folding his newspaper. Nick nodded before sitting on the opposite side of jakob. "Any idea how the exams are gonna go?" He asked while cracking open a soda. The harsh sound of metal cracking caused jakobs face to twitch slightly before going back back to normal . "if the exams are anything like what the other academies are than it will be separated into three parts. The first is the cultivation scan which is basically just where they doc.u.ment you're current cultivation level as well as any unique physique or bloodline you might have. The second is battle stage , which is where all the applicants will fight to get a rough idea of everyones strength. The third and most likely final is the real test where everyone is sent into a hostile environment with some goal to complete in order to test the luck as well as to drastically lower the amount of people that enter the academy." Nick also stands up and does the same before both of them finish their drinks and head out the front door and start quickly making their way to the northmost party of the city where the exams are held every time. On the way they spot several other people who seem to be heading to the exams as well which they nod politely to before focusing on getting to the exam site. As they arrive they see a crowd with close to half a million people who are lining up into about a hundred lines where just like jakob said they are being checked with an orb that clarifies their statuses and it seems the minimum in order to even attempt the next part is the origin core by the age of thirty. After about an hour the half million people has been cut down to about fifty thousand who passed the first part of the test including nick and jakob. "The test of steel will comprise of ten groups that will battle one on one till only five thousand people are left each person must win at least ten matches before they are allowed to move on to the next test and each person can only lose three times before they are disqualified. Any questions?" The elder looks for anyone with a question and is about to announce the groups when a boy who looks about twenty two raises his hand. "What's your question?" The elder asked. The boy then speaks in a monotone manner "can we challenge specific people to increase the speed we pass the test?" The elder acknowledges the question and then answers calmly. "You can do something within your own groups however intentionally killing or crippling will automatically cause you to be disqualified. If that's all then I'll announce the groups now."
