Nick was obviously not falling for the old man's tricks "I'll give you 70 for it " nick says flatly.
The man curses mentally at how clever nick is and relents on the price.
Nick walks away from the man grinning while looking at the notification he got from the system.
*DING*
*congratulations on finishing the mission , place item in inventory to receive rewards.*
Nick places the strange cube into his inventory while ignoring the shocked looks coming from around him and unlike what he thought the cube didn't get absorbed but instead greyed out like it was restricted . then his rewards magically appeared in his inventory which he use immediately to try to get something special for the auction. Nick opens the shop menu and opens the equipment table and scrolls through it until he finds what he is looking for and opens the description of it which is as follows.

Nick smiled as he buys it from the shop for 20 DC and pulls it out of his inventory and puts it on .
Nick instantly feels the difference as he no longer has any distracting thoughts and a certain feeling of clarity that is quite unlike him.
The mask was silver in color with vivid depictions of text that seem to be constantly crossing the surface and other than that the mask only had two holes for eyes and that was all there was to it making it rather plain looking with the exception of the script on it.
Nick turns to his guards and ask "how do I look?" They both look at each other and answer with a bit of confusion on their faces "young master you look mysterious , but why do you think you need a mask for?" Nick looks at the guards and says " we are going to an auction what if I buy something by going against someone else and they want to make trouble for me for it." The guards cough embarrassed at not thinking about such an obvious thing.

The group continue on their way to the auction while back at the farias residence the tension is rising as veras prepares for his 'guest'. "Shadow is everything in place for the event ?" Veras ask the black clothed figure in front of him . "yes my lord we even set up that 'things' for just in case ."
Veras face grows solem at the mention of that 'thing'. "Hope to the gods that it doesn't come to that and if it does may they have mercy on us for using it". veras looks over at the shadowy man and says " if it comes to that make sure my son is taken care of would you my old friend ?" Sadness is laced heavily in those words as the shadowy man bows to veras and says softly "my lord just needs to make sure that doesn't happen ." he tries to cheer up veras to no avail as veras merely says "even so I leave this to you make him into a great man if I can't"veras hands the man a small box with dragons roaring on it the the shadowy man . the man shudders as he takes the box and puts it in his space ring and goes to say something but is cut off by veras . "enough of that talk they come." He pulls out his bonded weapon and gets in position.
Meanwhile nick and company arrive at the auction house which is built in a manner that surprises nick , it is built like a movie theater from earth almost done to the finest details . nick walks up to the doorman and says "I'd like a private room with a good view ." the doorman looks at nick and company and says bluntly "100 gold." Nick and it to the man and the man hands him a key with the number 15 on the handle of it . nick takes the key and walks past the doorman into the building and goes looking for the door that matches the key.nick finally finds the door and unlock it with the key and steps into the room and obsessed the layout and after finding it to his satisfaction he heads over to the row of fluffy chairs overlooking the stage where the items are going to be sold .

On the stage there is an hourglass which is set to tell how much time until the auction starts noticing that he has a about an hour before it starts nick opens the system to turn in his second reward the supreme roulette ticket.
