Then once they came out of the treasure storage house, they began to dash at high speeds into the distance to search for whoever had come into the treasure storage house and took all the treasures and pills therein.
However, after running at high speeds for more than thirty minutes into the far distance and in different directions, they discovered to their sadness and frustration that the person that came to the legacy ground to acquire all the treasures and pills stored in there had been long gone.
"This is bad. No, I won't accept this" The leader of the group who had gotten to a particular location said within himself with great annoyance and sorrow in his tone.
He just couldn't accept the thought in his mind that he had just missed out of acquiring tons of treasures or various sorts of rare cultivation pills for himself.
However, not willing to give up, and being a persistent person, he still shot further into the distance to search for whoever came into the treasure storage house and left with everything in his position.
But after a few more minutes of running, it dawned on him that he wouldn't be able to ever find the person that took all the artifacts or pills in the treasure storage house.
While Xiao Lin who had gotten to a particular street in the town that he was currently in, chose to go to the garage where he would be able to enter a carriage that would convey him to a faraway town.
At the moment, his plan was to move from one town to another until he got to a new city where he would be able to start a new life.
Therefore, not long when he appeared at a garage, he saw many large carriages that were waiting to be filled with people before taking off.
Then when he entered into one of them, he sat on a seat and closed his eyes to resume comprehension of some techniques that he had the intention of first understanding to some extent before practicing them.
...
- Few days later -
The carriage finally arrived at a particular town that was really distant from the town that Nine Calamities' castle was located.
Then when he got down from the carriage, he began to ask around for the description to the location of another garage where he would take another carriage that would convey him to another town.

So, following the descriptions of people that he came across on his way to the place, he finally got there. Then when he paid the transport fare which was really high, he entered into it and sat down. And as soon as he did that m, he resumed comprehension of the techniques that he wanted to understand and mentally practice, before going out there at a deserted area to physically practice so that he could master it.
At the moment, since it had been a few days that Xiao Lin hadn't returned, Nine Calamities could be seen pacing about furiously in his room.
Then before him could be seen two of the higher-ups of his bandit organization. They too had perplexed expressions in their faces, as they couldn't really understand what was going on.
"Is it possible that he had been killed?" Nine Calamities asked with his brows deeply furrowed.
"That we can't say, master. But we found some bodies on the ground. And from the slowly dispersing auras of Spiritual Power that still lingered about their corpses, I can say that they were cultivators at the fifth-layer and sixth-layer Mortal Spiritual stage. Then if Bloodfang came across these people, they would instantly kill him. Not because of their high numbers, but because of their cultivation stages when compared to his. Therefore, just one of them at the fifth-layer Mortal Spiritual stage is enough to reduce Bloodfang into a mist of blood." One of the two males seated before Nine Calamities answered.
While the other male seated before the male that spoke just how, mentioned before Nine Calamities could say or do anything, "However, what is greatly baffling is that the cultivators that should reduce Xiao Lin into mist of blood were found dead on the ground and severely mutilated when you sent us out to go see what was happening as Bloodfang hadn't arrived from there."
The male then said further, "So, I think that Bloodfang must still be alive, and that he was probably taken away by a stronger cultivator from an organization who might know about the treasure storage house."
"Perhaps seeing that Bloodfang was a bandit and that he was young, was he taken away by this cultivator to be wickedly tortured so that he could give away the location of our castle."

"And Bloodfang who might not be able to really endure the agonizing tortures that he would pass through in the hands of that cultivator that abducted him, will certainly give away the location of our bandit organization. And who knows, perhaps there are already lots of plans that are being generated so that they will raid our place when we were least expecting it so as to cart away with all the resources that we have stored and stacked up so far since the emergence of your bandit organization, Nine Calamities"
"Hmm. Then I guess it is totally my fault for sending Bloodfang to such a place without a senior or an expert accompanying him." Nine Calamities said, seemingly angered at the action that he carried out which he felt was completely stupid.
"Well, you can't fault yourself for that Master. You were trying to train him. It's just that he was unfortunate to come across that cultivator when you sent him to retrieve those treasures and pills stored in that treasure storage house for you." One of the males said.
"Hmm. Well, I guess you are right. He was just unlucky." Nine Calamities said.
He then furrowed his brows when a particular thought appeared in his mind.
"What's wrong, master?" One of the two males seated before him asked.
"I just remembered something." Nine Calamities replied.
He then said further, "Do you remember the blood contract paper that you signed on?"
"Yea, what about it master?" The other male asked in confusion.
"Now, I can use it to terminate Bloodfang's life. However, that's if he is still alive." Nine Calamities responded.
"Whaaat?!" The two males shouted out in shocked.
They couldn't believe what they just heard.
So, that paper could be used to end their lives anytime their master feels like it. It was just so unbelievable to them. Then they became more wary and dreadful of their master who they now understood that he had a tight and firm clutch on each of their lives. And that he could apply pressure on their lives that was in his absolute clasp if he's angered and simply instantly turn them into corpses.
"Yes. I can use it. That's one of the mysterious functions of the lifelong servitude blood oath paper that all of you signed on using your blood." Nine Calamities said with great pride in his tone when he noticed the totally shocked expressions in their faces.
Then taking his gaze off them and into his spatial ring to rapidly scan through it contents, he came across a large stack of papers that had softly glowing inscriptions in their surfaces.
And once he did so, he began to go through the papers to search for that of Xiao Lin.
But not long, he came across the blood oath paper that Xiao Lin's signed on by squeezing a drop of his blood unto it.
Then when he noticed the strange appearance of the paper, he quickly brought it out from his spatial ring and began to observe.
But he didn't need to observe it for long when he realized in the next instant that the life-termination and blood-binding power of the blood contract paper had been neutralized. He couldn't even sense any form or ripple of that power emanate from the paper. It was like no one signed on the paper, causing the power of the paper to go back to dormancy until it has been signed upon by blood.
But since it was signed by Xiao Lin, how come it wasn't yielding any form of binding power? Then that simply meant Xiao Lin wasn't a living being, as the blood contract paper would only work on people that were living.
And Nine Calamities who could understand all these in the next moment, immediately shouted out with great shock in his tone, "Whaat?!!"
Then gasping for breath due to the tremendous shock that struck him, he asked himself, "What is really going on here? I don't understand what is happening. What is this?"
The two males before Nine Calamities who couldn't really understand what was going on within their master's mind, stood to their feet to look at their master with deeply concerned expressions in their faces.
"Master, what's wrong? Why are you like this?" One of the two males asked with a perplexed expression in his face.
"That brat, Bloodfang, I just discovered now that he isn't a living being. He is a corpse. We have been relating with an animated corpse all these while."

The Order of Sekhmet
Meet Rowan who may or may not be really enthusiastic about telling you how his life is with the goddess of war. It is naturally far from being peaceful, but the blade-wielding, fourth-wall-breaking protagonist certainly wouldn't have it any other way. Egyptian deities? Check. Sword fights? Check. Demonic arts? Check. Burning passion? Check. After all, blood is a good moisturizer. Please note that I have flagged my content. There is and will be content that may trigger you, particularly if you've been through toxic relationships. While I do my best not to paint these moments in the best light, they exist and are crucial parts of my story. Things are kicked up a notch beginning with chapters named 'The Old World'. Everything before is (nearly) vanilla. Update schedule is every Thursday/Friday, varying times!

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
