《Psycho X Psychic》Chapter 79 - Immediately Cornered

With bent barrels of the minigun in his hand, it certainly seemed like Teren bent in with his own hands. But how?
Meanwhile, Uncle Jo and Old Derman were just about to react to how Gant introduce himself when they heard an explosion from afar. Only when Teren spoke did they make sense of what happened.
"Woah... no matter how many times I saw it..." Uncle Jo muttered and felt no need to continue his words.
The ones who were filled with disbelief were those who have no seen Teren's full capabilities. Hanon thought that his abilities should only exist in fictional worlds, but when he saw this scene, he could only retract those thoughts.
But even if they are already seeing it in front of their eyes, they still failed to believe the scene. Just a moment ago, Teren was just in front of them. They didn't feel any movement. Did he... teleport? was the question had yet to answer.
"Toy, huh... you say it's a toy but it's the first thing you've taken care of."
Gant didn't show any hesitation or fear. He took a knife from his behind and raised it as a fighting stance.
"Get some distance, let me handle him."
The two burly men followed right after they heard the commands of their commander. But just as they stepped back, multiple men who just took off their hoods revealed themselves surrouding the two.
"What the-!?"
The one who just threw the destroyed minigun felt a sharp pain in his back.
"These cowards!" however, it was not only Gant who have extreme reflexes. Before they felt the sharp pain, they felt the wind behind them and each one of the burly men twisted their body as if they were synchronized.
"The chameleons are really helping you, Devil!"

Gant laughed even though he saw his two men almost taken by surprise by the Drago people's precise coordination. By showing themselves in front of their target, that target's attention will be taken while one, who has yet to remove their hoods and still stayed hidden would attack from behind. But even if they weren't invisible, it's not like these burly men have eyes at the back of their heads. In the end, it all boils down to instincts and reflexes.
Those who have taken off their hoods wore them again and disappeared. The two burly men who were stabbed on the shoulder and on the back respectively didn't panic and swung their giant arms around.
Teren looked at this as if he was just watching a television show, uncaring of it. Seeing how these Drago people reacted, he realized what they were planning.
'So instead of taking all the pressure by themselves, they will only show up whenever there's a fight.'
Teren didn't blame them since he half-expected them to do so. He didn't really anticipate that a simple promise will work out perfectly well from the start. Just revealing themselves there is fine in itself.
'But of course, I still have to show that I'm dissatisfied with it. If they found out that I don't have a problem with it, they will get greedy.'
While thinking about this next step of his, Teren looked at Gant who was smiling at him. Although he already saw through that smile and knew that this commander is actually cautious towards him, he's aware that can't underestimate the commander of the Titanes Army.
Just taking the two burly men as an example, even though there are multiple enemies surrounding them in all directions and are invisible to the naked eyes, they were still holding on their own. These two are just lackeys. The main force was Gant himself.

"This is the first time we met. I introduced myself and you interrupt. Why don't you introduce yourself? I will not interrupt to show you real manners."
"You already know me thoug-"
"Joke!"
Gant launches himself forward. One wouldn't be able to say that his strength and speed were natural. They will be inclined to think he had used Spirit instead if they know the existence of it. But no, Teren knew that as a member of the Titanes House, this strength is normal.
Bang*
Gant heard a gunshot and even though he had one straight trajectory, he was able to kick the ground sideways, barely letting the bullet graze his cargo pants.
"Ohh..." he amused before looking at the origin of that bullet. Amidst the thug-looking people, there is one young adult who was donned in a neatly buttoned shirt and black pants.
It was Hanon.
"Eh..? Did he just dodge that? What?"
But soon, his eyes became serious as he pointed his gun toward Gant again.
"I know almost nothing about this guy except for the first impression. My vision's still highly inaccurate." he composed himself and tried to shoot again.
"Impressive, Hanon. You retained your composure in this kind of mind-boggling situation."
Old Derman praised and stepped forward.
"Let me help too."
When the old man raised his hand, Gant and the two burly men suddenly felt their movements become slower.
"So they are Spirit Users too, so that's why."
Gant found it a bit problematic as he only looked at the Devil as his top priority. He didn't think some 'random mobs' would be an obstacle. But while he was thinking- a face appeared before him.
'My focus-!'
He immediately raised his arms again, however, he was too late as Teren's fist came in contact with his left cheek. Having no choice, he has to reduce the impact and let his body went with the attack's tractory. His body slightly spun to reduce the damage while he gave up on defense so he flipped the knife in his hand and tried stabbing Teren's arm.
This level of expertise in combat, one can only achieve after countless life-and-death duels. Through mortal battle does one's instincts were polished. If they die, that's the end of it, if they don't, it's either their lucky or they are talented. But if they do live, they will gain the experience in their next battle to become better.
A combat master is what they call these powerhouses in a war. Gant could be said to be only half a step away from being a combat master but he's already a leading commander over a large batch in Titanes Army.
But, it was right there in front of his eyes, The blade should've stabbed through that thin arms compared to his. However, the next scene betrayed Gant's expectations as that arm disappeared for another arm to hit his other cheek. Distracted in disbelief, Gant left an opening where Teren pummeled him onto the ground.
Without any choice, Gant have to use one of his Spirits.

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.

World Labyrinth
Meet our hero: an average young man with an average life, who ended up dying while working an average job. However, he's a given a chance to see another world at the final crossroads of his old life. The catch... well... he knows there's one. There always is. But, hey, when you're about to die, you take whatever opportunity's provided to you. This is the young man's story in the new world as he learns he can't afford to be average anymore. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've decided to put this note up due to some comments and ratings left for this ORIGINAL FICTION complaining its boring. This story starts slow and it takes time for things to pick up. Also the MC doesn't start off as superman or become superman magically in two chapters. He also is AVERAGE... so it takes time to build up his character. Starting chapter 14 or so things pick up, but this isn't a pure hack and slash and skills level up story like most of the FF on this site. Just giving you a warning, so you don't end up disappointed and end up having to post large paragraphs complaining about the story... I also post on average every TWO OR THREE DAYS, so you'll get more to read.
