《Psycho X Psychic》Chapter 61 - Nick's Confusion

Back to the alley, Uncle Jo, Nathan, Nick, and the others looked at each other. A cute girl just took their Boss Hark away, they didn't know what to do. Do they wait or do they follow the two?
"Hey, you know that cutie?" Nick asked Nathan.
Nathan nodded and answered.
"She's Iesa Hun, the most popular girl in school."
"I see, I guess even Boss Hark has school romance." Uncle Jo commented and smirked.
But Nick could only shake his head. This was the first time he saw the two together, he thought so Iesa Hun, the school idol suddenly pulling Teren away startled him.
'Maybe she thought we were being taken away by these guys? What if I'm at the back, will she pull me instead of Teren?'
He thought but somehow felt that was impossible. Iesa pulling Teren away should be the right thing to happen, he thought. Forgetting about it, he whispered to his big brother.
"Why are you here?" he asked.
"To get Boss Hark."
"Boss Hark, who's this?"
Nick's voice sounded and was heard by everyone there. Sik, who was the current boss stepped forward.
"You may have idolized me but Boss Hark is the real boss."
He misunderstood something while his head got bigger.
Nick just tilted his head.
"Um... may I know your name?"
"..." Sik who had his nose virtually getting longer frowned before laughing, "Nathan, your brother knows his humor."
Nick just shook his head. He was not a member so he didn't know who these people are except for Uncle Jo. This uncle is the Ogre's right hand back then and his big brother told him stories about this uncle and the Ogre.
"I don't think he's joking, Boss Sik." Nathan said which stopped Sik's laughter.

Nick nodded.
"What's your deal?" Nathan looked at his younger brother, "Are you playing something?"
The other older men looked at them, looking for an answer.
"Playing something...?"
Nick sounded confused which made Nathan sweat.
"Hey, hey, don't kid, okay? You did invite Boss Hark, right? You're not lying to me?" he then leaned forward and whispered, "I already told these guys how Boss Hark agreed, why are you acting like that?"
"What? I don't know who's this Boss Hark...!" Nick exclaimed.
"What's happening? Nathan, are your words about your brother asking Boss Hark lies?" Uncle Jo asked with his head tilted up.
Inwardly, he was nervous.
"Wait! What does that mean!? We came here since we heard that Boss Hark agreed." the fat man frowned, "Do you mean we came here to him without him knowing!?"
The other four older men had worried faces.
Initially, Teren only quit the gang for school. They knew that he wouldn't come back unless he wants to. No one contacted him in fear of bothering him. They clearly knew how scary Teren is once he was bothered. But when they heard that he will come back, they became excited and wanted to meet him formally this time.
They have already met him. So if Teren didn't actually agree, haven't they bothered him?
Oh no...
"Nick, you stupid ass, you said that Boss Hark said yes!?" Nathan became desperate.
"E-eh...? I don't know who's this Boss Hark!" Nick was about to burst into tears. However, the same could be said for Nathan... no, for all of them!
"O-oh... I think there's just miscommunication." Uncle Jo, who seemed the most composed of them all, was actually shivering, "Don't panic. Let's just apologize. Little Nick, since you seemed close to Boss Hark and since YOU AND YOUR BROTHER is to blame, take responsibility and think of a way how to appease the boss."

Nick and Nathan's knees felt weak under his harsh voice.
"W-who's... Boss Hark...?" tears glided from Nick's eyes.
"It's the one you're with just earlier, Teren Hark. You stupid little shit, we talked clearly about this!" Nathan cursed under his breath.
"Huh? Teren Hark? Boss Hark?" Nick was surprised was not in disbelief, "Teren Hark is your boss?"
"Ugh! We already talked about this, did your head get hit!? Just find a way to appease Boss Hark-"
"Or we'll all die!" the fat man continued Nathan's words.
"D-die?" Nick stammered.
He then thought of a way how to get out of the situation. Did Teren really agree? But why does he not remember it? He did remember that Nathan talked to him about something like this. However, he does not remember the content of that talk.
The situation was vague in his head, however, he somehow got the gist of it.
"I don't know... But that girl! Teren is fond of that girl. Since she took him, maybe his mood will be better?"
Silence pervaded the group. Only when Uncle Jo nodded and spoke did the silence break.
"We can only wait an-"
"Let's go."
"Woah!" Uncle Jo suddenly saw Teren passing by him, startling him.
Following Teren, the group was now one of their bases. It was an abandoned building far from civilization. It seemed like a rundown hospital but was actually an old research lab.
Sitting in front of them, Uncle Jo, the fat man, and the rest all bowed to Teren with a greeting.
"Welcome back, Boss Hark."
Nathan looked at this with amazement before following while taking Nick's head down too.
"So is this about the battle against the Spectra Gang?"
The older men looked at each other before nodding to Teren.
"Yes, Boss Hark." Uncle Jo answered. But after his reply, he frowned and asked, "Also, Boss Hark, did you really agree? This boy here doesn't seem to remember."
He pointed at Nick.
"Yes, he asked me and I agreed."
Teren straightforwardly said which shocked Nick.
"You scared me earlier...! If only you're not already injured, I would've injured you!" Nathan said under his breath.
"But don't blame him, it's my fault. I used a Spirit."
Teren didn't elaborate any further but the others already understood. Except, of course, Nick.
Teren then crossed his legs and continued.
"However, I'll only help you after my monthly exams which are tomorrow. I have already studied for it, I don't want to waste my effort, understood?"
"Understood!" all of them bowed again as if Teren is the king of their land.
