《Psycho X Psychic》Chapter 33 - Following

"You're so good at it that the second years actually played with you!" Catherine praised with a coquettish smile.
Mike smiled and humbly answered.
"No, it's just because they are kind."
"Really? But with that, we're sure that you're in with the Basketball Club."
"I hope so." Mike slightly laughed.
Catherine lightly punched him and said, "You should be more confident!"
"Ahahaha... Also, why did you have to wait for me? I told you it would take long."
"I can't?"
"...."
Receiving a sudden silence made Catherine looked at Mike with a raised eyebrow. She saw Mike had a slight shock and more of a curious expression on his face. Wanting to know the cause of this, she followed his line of sight and saw two men.
"Is that... the loser, what's his name? The pathetic guy who photoshopped his pictures?"
Mike answered, "He's Teren."
"Teren... why is he with Sir Hanon's friend?"
"You know that man?"
Catherine shook her head. Both stopped at their tracks.
In front of them, the two men that were walking were Teren who was at the front and Clade following.
However, it is not that Clade was following Teren. The former was instructing the latter where to go, unbeknownst to Catherine and Mike.
Clade wouldn't want to use his car since that would give Teren the advantage while he's driving. And while walking, he wouldn't show his back to Teren.
'I wouldn't trust the Devil Himself. I'm not familiar with this place but I've spotted a good spot earlier.' he thought.
Now behind the corner of the street, Catherine pointed.
"That man came to Sir Hanon just today's lunch. I don't think he's a hunk, you're better-looking at him but my friends are all talking about him."

Mike ignored Catherine's obvious flatter and asked.
"Do you know why they're together?"
Catherine frowned.
"Why are you curious about him?"
"Nothing. I just don't see the connection between Teren and Sir Hanon's friend."
Mike's words didn't fool Catherine.
'I'm sure it's because Iesa is always following that loser around. Everyone knows it, something is between the two. Iesa Hun following a loser is a surprise to many so it's actually becoming one of the school's seven wonders.'
Thinking that Mike was only interested because it might have something to do with Iesa Hun made Catherine feel bitter.
"Want to follow them?" Mike asked.
"No, let's go. We can't just stalk them. Let them do their own business. Maybe they're dating or something!"
Catherine then pulled Mike away in annoyance. Her words were actually reasonable that Mike had no choice but to let it go.
Meanwhile, Teren and Clade had already turned to another street and were out of sight. So he and Catherine didn't really have a choice until they stopped again to see another pair...
This time, neither Mike nor Catherine could let this pass. Coming out from the opposite corner were Iesa and Nick.
The two were sneaky. Nick seemed forced and scared while Iesa seemed determined and serious.
"What's going on?" asked Catherine.
Seeing this unusual sight made her curiosity spiked.
"Let's... let's meet them and asked."
Before Catherine could even argue otherwise, Mike already walked to Iesa and Nick. His presence almost made the nervous Nick jump but only made Iesa frowned.
Iesa regretfully only heard their thoughts when she saw Mike. She was too focused on Clade that she didn't spare some attention to her surroundings.
'If I knew, I would've told Nick to act normal.'

"Hey..." Mike waved at them with a slight smile and smoothly asked, "I want to ask something. Do you two know something about Teren and Sir Hanon's friend?"
Disregarding their suspicious movements and getting right to the question, Mike asked well. However, this wouldn't work on Iesa Hun.
"Well..." Nick's eyes wandered. Ever since the incident with Teren, he became meek and timid. He felt like he should answer. What if this popular guy is suddenly a secret agent or something?
The shock from learning Teren is the former boss of Handwing Gang let him expecting the most unexpected. With his tall stature, it made him look more pathetic.
But before he was pressured into asking, Nick noticed that Iesa was already walking away.
"Ah, sorry..." Nick ignored Mike as he was more scared of Iesa and followed her.
"Super suspicious." Catherine walked forward and muttered.
"Let's follow them." said Mike.
This time, Catherine had no choice since she too wants to know what's happening.
Hearing their thoughts still close even though they walked away, Iesa clicked her tongue.
'Should I lead them somewhere else? But I want to see what happens to Teren! If something happens to him, I... Sir Hanon is not going anywhere!' Iesa thought.
They were power walking. Nick was already sweating as he could feel the pain on his stab wound.
'I should be resting right now! Goddamnit!'
But even with that thought, he often looked back and saw Mike and Catherine's silhouettes following them.
'Is this fine? I guess it is. The more witnesses, the better. As long as that mysterious man has no gun, nothing bad will happen.'
Iesa heard Nick's thought and internally replied.
'I don't know what Spirits are but from what I heard, they are more dangerous than guns...'
After just a couple of minutes, Iesa heard Clade's thoughts louder and louder behind a wall.
In the middle of an unpopulated part of the neighborhood was an open lot. It seemed that a house was planned to be built there but the construction halted midway.
There, in the open field, amidst the metal rods, hollow blocks, and other unusable construction materials, Teren turned around to see Clade standing meters behind him.
Conveniently enough, the light from the street lights and from the full moon was enough to illuminate the dark lot.
When Teren met him eye to eye, the edge of Clade's mouth twitched.
'Fucking Hanon! Where are you!?'
Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, Iesa stopped Nick from continuing.
"They are inside." she whispered as she turned around.
Catherine and Mike were leaning behind the corner of the wall. The former's heart was pounding from nervousness. She couldn't explain but the farther they follow Iesa and Nick, the more anxiety they were having.
'Why are we here? This is such a creepy place. I didn't know there is a place like this near school.' Catherine thought.
When Mike was about to peek his head and see where Iesa was headed, his heart almost jumped.
"Why are you foll-?"
"AHH~!" Iesa unexpectedly came out of the corner, making Catherine fell onto her back.
