Rachel flung her arms around his neck and said softly "Please don't do this, I can't bear to see this."

Robert felt a very sweet emotion fill his heart and he could not help but feel happy inside. He wished to tease her even more now but he didn't have time neither the heart to get rid of this sweet emotion that was filling his body. He simply wrapped his arms around her and slowly whispered in her ear "You go find the others and I will find a solution to get to the other side."

Rachel let go of him and looked into his eyes "I don't believe you, what if you just cross the corridor when I leave."

Robert had thought of doing that but he was not going to tell Rachel about it as he could see the lingering fear in her eyes so he smiled and said "You have no other option but to trust me."

Rachel scoffed at him angrily and said "Alright then, I will leave it you but you have to promise me not to go there."

Robert was taken aback by her words, how could he promise her something that he knew he was going to break so he just thought for a while and twisted his words "If you don't leave, I will go right now."

Rachel panicked as she spoke "Alright, alright, I am leaving, don't do anything reckless."

Rachel didn't know why but her heart kept pounding against her c.h.e.s.t and she could not bear to look at him as she ran in the other direction. When she was far away to hear any sounds, Robert went ahead to check one last time that Rachel was not close enough to hear the sound of metal piercing his body but what he was not aware of was that Rachel's hearing was a lot more sharper then a normal person.

When he stepped into the corridor, the sound of metal piercings a skin were clearly heard by Rachel and her whole body froze. She stood at her place for a while as her heart raced so fast that she had a feeling that it would stop soon from over exertion. She quickly turned around and looked ran to the corridor to take a look at the person. She unconsciously shrieked "Ah! I told you not to do that."

She didn't know why, it was as if her feet had their own mind and seeing him standing in the middle of the corridor, she had the urge to go there. She was about to step in the corridor when Robert said in a cold and unyielding tone "Don't!"

His tone was so overbearing that it had her stop right there in her tracks and she had no idea what to do. She looked at him and tears began to roll down her eyes, this was the first time she had shown her weak side ran front of a stranger but she could not help it as they were flowing out on their own.

He heart ached looking at her and he knew that it was useless going back so without looking he turned his head and ran to the other side. As his body was being pierced, it was a completely unbearable site for Rachel to watch so she covered her face with her hands. As her eyes closed, more tears flowed out and then there was something similar to this scene that flashed in her mind. The scene of his death but the images were too blurry and her head began to hurt as she tried to remember more about it. She could not see anything and soon fell to the floor unconscious as her brain had been messed up.

Robert had already reached the other side and pressed the button when he heard the sound of someone falling. He saw Rachel lying on the floor and was momentarily in shock to see such a strong person just fall unconscious all of a sudden. Although he knew that if he went back to the other side the rods would appear again and it won't be easy to come to this side, the second time, he still didn't hesitate to step a foot forward into the corridor.

His body had healed completely by the time he was out of daze and had reacted and when he had just stepped into the corridor, he caught sight of one of his teammates and said "Quickly come to this side, I have to go there."

The three of them were in daze as to what had happened and before they could process it, they were called by Robert. Left with no choice they crossed the corridor in fear but nothing happened to them as they safely reached the other side. They saw Robert panic and only then did they notice Rachel on the floor after following his gaze.

He didn't waste any time and went to her while the others waited on the other end of the corridor. He didn't want to waste any time so he simply picked her up in his arms and said to the people on the other side "Push the button you see on the right."

They immediately followed his order and did as they were told as Robert crossed the corridor in large strides. He came to stand with the rest of the team and then helped Rachel remove her bag from her back, later he made her lie down in his l.a.p and opened her back to search for something. When he didn't find the water in her bag, he commented "Seriously, you carry so many things and do not carry water with you."

He shook his head and looked at the rest of the people "Does anyone of you have any water with you?"

These people didn't like to converse much so instead of replying, one of them just handed him a bottle of water. Robert didn't even look at the person instead he just snatched the bottle and sprinkles some of it on Rachel's face. She closed her eyes even tighter and her brows were drown together in a frown. He waited patiently for her to wake up and she slowly opened her eyes to see herself being surrounded by four pair of eyes. She was given an immediate scare but she schooled her impression and slowly sat up. She was still in Robert's l.a.p and when she moved, she felt that his body had a reaction to her movements, she was given a scare and immediately jumped up from his l.a.p.

She looked at him with wide eyes and he felt embarrassed at being discovered something quickly. He got up with a smile as if nothing happened and said "You gave me a scare, what happened to you just now."

When he asked this, Rachel's focus was immediately shifted to his question as she replied "I don't know either, I had some strange memories flash in my head and soon my head began to hurt so that is the reason for my fall."

She was about to scold Robert for his rash actions but seeing that others were present too, she didn't bring up the topic and only glared at him for a long time when he smiled mischievously and whispered in her ear "If you still feel moved by my action and want to continue from where you left, we can do that too."

Rachel glared at him and kicked his shin "Get lost."

She then got to her feet and looked at the others "Let's continue and I am sorry for the inconvenience."

The others didn't mind so they were ready to set off as soon as they heard Rachel's words and saw her moving forward. They followed her while Robert caught up to her with a wide smile on his face. He thought that this woman could make him happy even though she didn't do anything. He felt blissful just by having her by his side and he had a sudden urge to monopolize her and keep her to himself. He walked by her side and they finally reached a dark room. They could not make out anything in the room as it was so dark and from the fear of bumping into something, they stretched their hands to keep on feeling the positions of the things and avoid bumping into anything.

They went in and soon Rachel's eyes adjusted to the darkness and she was finally able to see. She looked around and finally found a person tied to the chair. She looked at Robert and told him about the person and then said "You go and save her, I will keep a look for any possible danger."

He nodded his head and helped the person unconsciously lying on the chair to be untied and then he was about to pick her up when the lights of the room flashed on and a man's deep voice was heard "If you want this person alive, stop right there."
