Jessica and Jamie had a look of shock on their face and they did not know how to answer her. Rachel's expression was grave as if she was really disappointed in both of them. She looked at them and said in a more intense voice, almost scaring them "I didn't expect this from the two of you at least and now I asked you for an explanation just because I know that you are not that kind of people otherwise you would have been punished already."

Both of them trembled in fear and looked at each other as they still didn't say anything Rachel spoke "I don't have much patience so it would be better if both of you start speaking."

They had no choice but to kneel in front of the queen while Rachel stood there tall in front of them staring at them angrily. She gave the vibe of the person in authority as she was quite displaced with their action and her patience was running low. Although they had a relation, it didn't mean that she would tolerate anyone causing a treason. She was never going against the rules for anyone in this world and even if she was her mother, here she was any other witch that had to be punished for her actions. She had to be fair to everyone if she had to take such a prestigious position.

She still waited patiently as she glared at them, they felt it and it was Jessica who began to speak first "I am sorry, My Queen, I didn't tell you this earlier but he is my brother. Although this is the case I can promise that I have never helped him with anything if you don't believe me then you can investigate."

Rachel said in a stern voice "Then what was the reason to hide this from me."

Jessica had her head lowered and she thought that Rachel was definitely going to punish her for this treason so she continued and told her the truth "I am sorry, he just took this position as the leader but he doesn't want to do anything evil. He is an immortal and wants to die, this was his only way to approach you was this so he didn't think much about it."

Rachel glared at her "Whatever might be the case, you hiding things from the queen and doing things behind her back is not acceptable moreover, he entered our premises, all this trouble was created by you. I know that because me being weak could be told to him only through you."

Jessica didn't know what else to say as there was nothing she could say that would make things right until she was to tell her everything from the beginning and that meant the suppressed memories of her. She could not do that and only be labeled as a traitor. Jamie had the same thoughts and she chose to remain quiet.

Rachel looked at them bowing their heads and said "I am very disappointed in you."

Jamie lifted her head a little and asked in a low voice "My Queen please tell us how did you find out."

Rachel let out a cold laugh "So that you can prevent not doing those things again. Anyways it was when I saw you when, he was here yesterday, I figured your presence at the exact same time was not a coincidence so I investigated a little and came to a conclusion that you knew him."

Jamie lowered her head again "I am sorry, My Queen."

Rachel looked at them and said "Don't expect me to go easy on you and let me tell you, you will be punished for this that you know what you did wrong."

Both of them nodded and were ready to accept any punishment, seeing their obedience Rachel's tone softened as she said "You both are temporarily degraded from your positions and can't hold it back until you prove yourselves worth and I will be taking away your powers for a weak."

Both on them looked at the queen with pleading eyes this was the worst punishment anyone could get, the position of a witch was the most important thing moreover their position was the highest just below the queen but now that was being snatched, they began to panic as it was now above their integrity. Rachel didn't soften towards them and said in a commanding tone "You may leave now."

They could not defy her orders and now they could only leave the place."

Rachel sat back on her throne and felt a little sad, after all they were her family, she called Rafel and told him that she was leaving and if anything was needed, he could find him any time. Rafel nodded and Rachel went back home. She saw Jamie was sitting in the living room and went up to her with a smile, she looked at her "Mom, are you still upset, you know I had to do it."

Jamie was a little sad but she looked her and complained "You know what, I didn't expect the new queen to be this fierce but that is her duty and I understand that so I will always keep respecting her. She could have given us some leeway but since it was her decision, she must have thought it through."

Rachel smiled "So you are not angry"

Jamie smiled back at her "You did the right thing darling by treating everyone equally so I am proud of you. You never thought of me as your mother at that place and that makes me proud of you. After all it was all that I have taught you so as long as you follow my teachings, how can I be angry."

Rachel hugged her mother with a smile on her face and then said "I still need to check on Jessica."

Jamie nodded as she said "She had never supported her brother in anything wrong and went against his for that."

Rachel nodded "I know, she would never do that and this is precisely the reason I am going to meet her but what happened there was my responsibility."

Jamie smiled "I understand"

Rachel chuckled "Since you are the boss here, I must ask your permission."

Jamie tapped her forehead lightly and laughed"Glib - tongue, go"

Rachel called Jessica but she did not pick up the call so she decided to just go to her place and looked for her. She went out and drove all the way there but when she knocked at the door, her maid said that she was not home.

They were best friends so when she went there, she was recognized and let into the house. As she entered she went to sit on the couch in front "That's too bad that she is not home. Do you know where she went?" The maid shook her head as she didn't know anything.

Rachel looked at her again and asked "Then do you know when she will return?"

The maid shook her head again "I am sorry but we have no idea about anything."

Rachel looked at her and said "It won't be a problem for you if I wait here for her."

The maid smiled and said "No ma'am, it will never be a problem."

She smiled back as she spoke "Fine I will sit here then so tell me when she is here."

The maid nodded "If you need anything please feel free to ask me, I will be at your service."

Rachel nodded her head and the maid went away to continue with her work. Rachel looked around and sighed "Perhaps I should have been gentler to her, she is still like a child and now I wonder if I really went overboard."

As she said that, she rested her back to the couch. She was extremely tired so she just rested their for a while. After all it had been tough few weeks for her and she didn't have any rest. She had been working too hard and even if she were to take a break for a week, it would be well earned.

She was waiting for Jessica and when the door opened, she got up quickly and saw that it was her brother. She looked at him angrily and thought to herself, it is this trouble maker. She was about to say something unpleasant when she realised that it was the queen that saw him and if she were to hate this person for no reason, she would definitely be suspected. Hence, she decided to be polite and greet him.

She smiled as she saw him "Hello, I am waiting for Jessica here, please don't mind me."

Robert was shocked to see her sitting there and just by seeing her so may thoughts flashed across his mind, how he wanted to have this beauty all to himself. He didn't know that this was the queen and she didn't know that the person in front was the mysterious Robert Smith.

He kept staring at her and finally a mischievous smile curved on his lips as he stepped closer to her "So nice to meet you."
