She went into her new office and sat on the chair while she looked at her dad's secretary, who used to work for her dad when her dad was in the country and asked "What is going on in the company since dad is not here you were supposed to take care of all his work and all I see is people lazing around."

He looked down and said in a low voice "I am sorry Ma'am but since he left everyone became more wilful and began to do everything according to their own."

Rachel nodded her head "Bring all the files of the people who were hired and I want to see the performance of everyone in the company and also arrange for the interviews we will be hiring more people."

He nodded his head "Yes ma'am"

Rachel gave him a sharp look "Be quick"

He nodded and went away while Rachel opened the laptop and started going through all the company's data herself. She had already done her investigations before coming to the company and she knew that after her dad had left this place the secretary had been lazy and not doing his work she just wanted to point out the facts to him before firing him.

She didn't trust anyone so she had checked all the records, shares, finances and everything that was required before coming and she was ready to remove all the useless people at the company. While she was working on her laptop the people she had called came in, she looked at her watch and then at their faces while resting comfortably in her chair "I said 10 minutes and you took 15 so that means I am not respected."

Before anyone could respond she continued speaking "No worries, let me see how you work."

She bent forward resting one arm on the table and stretched the other hand for the files. One of them stepped forward trembling and handed her the file fearing that she might notice what is wrong.

Rachel took the files and rested back in her chair while slowly going through the file as all the others looked at her nervously. After going through the file she closed it and placing it on the table she smiled. As she looked at them she said "This is a wonderful idea, who came up with it."

All of them smiled at each other and as if they were communicating through telepathy they said to each other one by one.

'I told you she will never be able to figure it out she is just a dumb kid.'

'Yeah and now we may get paid extra money even if the company lost a huge amount because of this.'

'She is so foolish.'

'This company is going to be ruined.'

Then there was a wide grin on everyone's face as everyone told that which part of this project they came up with excitedly.

She then get up from her chair with a smile on her face which send shivers down everyone's spine. They looked at each other terrified not knowing the reason why they were feeling that way.

Rachel came in front of her table and stood there while talking the support of the table looking quiet intimidating. She then looked at them her smile still in contact "This is great but I don't like it so change it before the client sees this."

No one spoke for a while then one of them came forward "Ma'am but as you have seen that we have already made a deal with the client so we can't change it now."

Rachel smiled and stepped forward "Talk to him make the changes and get the deal right and let me tell you I don't want to loose the client."

Her tone was too sharp that no one dared to argue but still they had to ask so one of them took the courage "Ma'am which part did you not like, we will make the changes."

The smile on her face dropped and now she looked at them angrily, she banged her hand on the table "Do I need to tell you that, don't you know what is wrong with this. It will cause us a loss of 3 millions, did you think I won't notice."

The color from their faces drained and they didn't know how to respond, they never could have know that she was so smart that just a single look on the file and she knew that it was a loss. They could not go to the client and tell him to pay more money or the client would definitely leave either way, they were at a loss. One girl began to cry and said "Ma'am, the client will never agree to pay more money please give us one more chance, it was a mistake and it won't happen again."

Rachel smiled coldly "Sure it was a mistake but instead of admitting it you were trying to fool me even though I gave you the chance to speak. You were speaking so proudly about what you did just now what happened did you suddenly realize your mistake."

"Ma'am please tell us any other thing we can do."

Rachel went back to sit in her chair "Here's the deal, you have 2 options to pick from first that I have already told you and do that by tomorrow and the second is that pay the money to the company by yourself. It is not a small thing for you to have made this loss for the company."

Everyone had the color drained from their faces and before anyone could say anything Rachel spoke "You have one day now you may leave."

There was no room of argument in her tone and everyone left her office. All the other people who were working looked at their pale faces an they knew that the new boss was not the person to be messed with, they began to focus on their work.

Rachel smiled as she sat back in her seat "This is fun, giving them hope and taking it away feels so great when dealing with these kind of people."

The secretary came in with all the records and Rachel threw the file that was flawed at him "Make a call and arrange a meeting with this client for tomorrow afternoon."

"Yes ma'am."

Rachel looked at all the records he had brought and said "Where is your work record."

He froze in his footsteps and then turned around with a smile "Your Dad trusted me with everything and so did Mr. James. After he started staying at home to take care of the baby, I handled everything here so you can trust me."

"No, I can't" came Rachel's blunt reply "I only trust the things I see with my eyes so I want to see your work progress. Show me what you did in their absence."

His voice trembled "Yes ma'am" saying that he went out and Rachel threw all the files to the side, she then called Jessica to her office and while she waited for her she made a list of all the people that were to be fired and the qualities she needed in the person to be hired in their places.

When Jessica came in she put up a warm smile and went to hug her "How are you feeling here?"

Jessica looked around to see her desk placed in the front with a comfortable chair behind it and opposite to that was a comfortable couch with a coffee table. There were windows on the side that had a beautiful view of the city and behind her desk was a book self. Jessica smiled at her "Your office is so beautiful and I just get bored because nobody let's me do any work due to the fact that I am your sister."

Rachel smiled "How would you like to be my secretory?"

Jessica smiled widely "Really that would be great but wait don't you already have a secretary."

Rachel nodded "Yeah but he is useless and I am going to fire him."

Jessica smiled "Thank you."

Rachel looked at her "Are you tired?"

"A little, I didn't get a proper sleep last night."

Rachel nodded "I understand."

She went to her bookshelf and pushed a button behind a book. The shelves separated and a warm room came into view. It had a bed in the center of it and was dimly lit just for a person to relax. Rachel looked at Jessica and said "My dad used to bring me to the office when I was small and then I used to sleep over here."

Jessica smiled at her "We grow up so fast."

Rachel smiled back "Sure we do now go in and sleep while I free the position of secretary for you."

Jessica laughed and went into the room while Rachel told her "Call me when you wake up and I will open the room."

Jessica nodded and Rachel shut the room behind her.

The secretary came in after that and she took the file from him before she started evaluating.
