Robert was frozen in his spot, he didn't know how to react because if Jamie was unable to heal Rachel then Ethan would be of no use. Jamie had no idea how to console him because she too was heart broken and was constantly crying. She just sat in a corner with her heart feeling heavy and helpless. Robert came out of his daze and with a heavy heart he took some steps towards the glass door of the ICU and started at the pale figure of his girl. He wanted to say so many things but he could not say a word for some time, he felt like something was stopping him from speaking or saying anything.

Jessica had left the last time after erasing everyone's memories and staying for a day and this time he wished she was here. He looked at her face and whispered a little emotionally "Please wake up I don't have anything in this life other than you."

Jamie heard his voice and she felt her heart tremble with the amount of love this man had for his daughter. She stood up and put a hand on his shoulder and said calmly "Don't worry, she will be fine."

A tear rolled down his eyes as he looked at Jamie "She has to be fine, please ask her to wake up."

She hugged Robert and gave her all her motherly love to him, she felt her heart ache as she felt the love her daughter was being showered with although she was happy for her, it didn't make the condition any good. She felt the pain in her heart as she patted his back "You have to be strong my son at least for her, she needs you at this moment and if you are weak then who will be there for her."

He hugged her for a little while longer and then said in determined tone "She will be fine, I will be there for her, I will be strong."

She nodded her head "Good"

She then went to call Charles while Robert went to the doctor to talk. He looked at the doctor and in a defeated tone he said "Make sure she wakes up."

He nodded and then Robert continued "Can I stay inside with her?"

This was an honest and polite question that he asked the doctor who felt his pain and after a short pause he said "I will arrange for that but please be careful to not cause any disturbance.

Robert nodded and as the doctor arranged for the things for him he went inside and sat next to Rachel. He placed a kiss on her hand and a few teardrops fell from his eyes.

Charles, Daisy and James came in with Lucas who the nanny was holding in her arms. Jamie was crying on the bench when Charles went to sit next to her and placing a hand on her shoulder he asked "What is it sweetie, you were fine in the morning."

Jamie looked at him tear eyed and said "I send you away because I wanted to heal her with my magic but she is still not awake. I came here because I was sure that I can heal her but I failed and I don't know if my daughter is ever going to wake up again."

Robert hugged Jamie and patted her back until she calmed down a little and then he said "The police report came in and they told me that as they were investigating the case they first checked Carren's bags as it was the murder weapon."

Jamie looked at him and said "What was it, she can not be in this condition just because of that hit from the bag as they don't have many books in it. I know our Rach is not that weak."

Charles nodded his head "You are right it was not the mere force or the bag, it was the steel bottle inside her bag that injured her deeply and they also found a steel box inside her bag."

Jamie began to cry again "Charles I am scared, she is our only daughter."

Charles nodded as his lips were set in a thin line, he didn't say any word in the fear that he himself might start crying. He had to be strong for the sake of his wife a daughter but he was scared to death by the condition of his daughter, he himself didn't know what to do if she didn't wake up. He too was scared about her but he was sticking to the hope, a thin tread of hope that was too fragile but he still held onto it.

Oliver came in too, all groomed but with a sad air, he was worried about the girl he had fell in love with. He wanted to talk to her, know more about her and spend his time with the one person that has won his attention but the fear in his heart was scaring him that what if his love story was short lived. What if this was the end of the life that he had started imagining, he didn't want that, he wanted to spend his live with her even if it was as her friend.

Daisy and James were worried about their niece too but they were more busy taking care of Lucus while Kevin didn't come back because he didn't know the way out of the place where Robert had left him and it would take a few days moreover he didn't know which place to go to.

Two days passed by and every passing second was like a ticking clock for everyone and everytime Rachel didn't wake up it felt like a throb being stuck into their chest. When Rachel didn't wake up even after 2 days, the atmosphere in the corridor turned very gloomy. No one had slept in these 2 days as they were expecting her to wake up.

The doctor came in to check on Rachel and Robert was still present inside. After he was done, Robert asked "Is there any change."

The doctor shook him head in disappointment and then he spoke "I decided not to tell you this earlier but now that her condition is like this, I think I should tell you."

Robert looked at him expectantly "What?"

The doctor took in a deep breath "The person who has not come back since he left had made her body respond."

The air around Robert turned cold, his vibe was as if he was about to kill the doctor which made the doctor tremble and he wanted to leave immediately regretting the decision of bringing up the subject but as he turned around a cold voice came "What do you mean?"

Robert knew that he was talking about Kevin and that person made her body respond made him angry 'How can she still like that person and respond to his touch.'

The doctor had no option but to bury himself in the grave he dug for himself and he said in a trembling voice "The first day when everyone came in to visit her, the man who came at last touched her from her head to her chest after placing a kiss on her forehead and she shivered. I thought of telling you that day but her reports had not changed when I checked her after the reaction so I didn't tell you as I thought it will make you angry."

Robert glared at him, his eyes changing color, this was the first time he had responded to anything in 2 days otherwise he had been quiet just sitting there without eating or drinking. He laughed "If you were scared to anger me then why are you telling this now, are you done with living your life."

The doctor trembled at his words "No! please listen to me."

Robert looked at him impatiently waiting for his answer "I told you because maybe bringing him and having him touch her will make some changes."

Robert began to laugh loudly "If you love your life just get lost from my vision in 10 seconds."

The dangerous and killing aura made the doctor tremble and he ran out of there for his life. He sprinted out of the room, he had never seen anything as dangerous as this in his life and as he went into his room, he was sweating and panting as he told himself "I should not speak recklessly ever again."

Back in the room Robert laughed at himself and then his cold gaze turned painful as he looked at Rachel, his painful voice at this moment could melt anyone's heart and whoever head that would cry "Do you really love him that much so is it true that first love is irreplaceable."

He could not help but his hand moved to her forehead as if wiping the kiss away. He bent down and placed a kiss on her forehead. A deep and sensual kiss that reflected all the pain in his heart, he kissed her collar bone and then her b.r.e.a.s.t but she didn't react.

His cold voice was heard after that "So you do like him better than me."

He could not take it anymore so he went out and just dashed out of the hospital.
