《Marriage of Benefits》Chapter 287 - The Grand Welcome (4)

Robert groaned as Rachel's hand touched him, he held her arms and pulled her up to sit on the bed with his back against the headboard. He looked at her with a soft and maddening gaze as he spoke "Don't do this because for me once won't be enough."
She sat on his legs and whispered seductively "I think I can take it."
He closed his eyes and groaned once again, it was completely evident that his restrain was not that strong, he was running out of patience and with this woman in front of him he could never hold in any longer.
He looked into her eyes that were full of mischief and then held her hand "Don't regret it."
She gulped and began to move her hand guided by Robert. All her worries and everything that she had in mind vanished and she was so happy at this moment seeing how he reacted to her touch made her feel especially good.
After they were done Robert hugged her closer to his chest and both of them slept peacefully. Next morning Rachel went to her mother and brought the list that she wanted her to prepare. They had to began the shopping just at that moment so she called Robert and asked him to meet in the mall and because she had not brought her credit card with her, she asked him to bring it and she could only wait for him to come.
She began to look around while in the shops for the best things that needed to be bought and on the way she bumped into Carren and her group of friends.
She never had any interest of picking up fights with anyone and she knew even saying hi to these people would cause trouble so she just ignored them and went ahead but that didn't avoid the trouble either as a voice came from behind her "Look who is acting so high and mighty at least people can say hi to others."
Rachel rolled her eyes and kept moving but Carren could not take the insult so she pulled her by her arm so she could face her. She had been made fun of by Rachel a few times but she knew that Rachel was not the type of person to make a scene in a public place and this was the only chance for her to make fun of Rachel.

Rachel raised her eyebrows at the girl and said in a low tone only she could hear "People usually avoid trouble, you are the first one inviting it. I don't know is I should call you courageous or stupid."
Carren's face turned red with anger but she ignored her words and said "Hey, I just said that we study in the same class so when we meet each other we can at least say hi."
Rachel put on a smile "I am sorry I didn't know we were that close but if you insist I think there should be no problem in greeting each other. Hi Carren how have you been."
Carren looked at her in disbelief at how she could put any conversation to an end but she was not going to let her go that easily. They were having winter break so they had not seen each other for 2 weeks so she was racing her mind how to insult her when she noticed her outfit. Rachel was from a rich family but she was not the kind of person to spend it lavishly or waste it uselessly, she used to make donations to the orphanages or give the money to the people that required it. The parties that they had at home were a waste of money for her too but then there were some things they had to follow according to the norms of their high class society so she had a few expensive and branded dresses for those special occasions but on a regular day like this she always used to wear simple clothes that were not branded and were rather cheap. She preferred to buy these clothes to help those people who worked hard everyday for there family and she wanted to help them earn. This was her way of helping them out and these clothes were of good quality so she didn't ever had any problem with it.
Now that Carren had noticed her outfit she would not let her go without making fun of her but Rachel was clever enough too, she knew what Carren was about to do so she put on a smile and said "So classmate if there is nothing else then I will take my leave because I have some shopping to do."
Carren had her chance "I don't think you can afford to buy anything here as the things in this mall are even expensive than your clothes."

Her tone was too loud that it attracted the attention of so many people around her as they looked at her in disdain as if she was some beggar who entered a high class mall. She knew Carren did it on purpose because she knew it very well that Cullen's were the richest family in the area and they had their business expanding to other countries too. After marriage Charles had left his acting and began his family business while Jamie had been working as the head of one of their offices along with that she was also a famous and world renowned writer. Rachel had never boasted about her family ever and not many people knew about their only daughter because she was not like the other rich ladies who were arrogant and self-centered.
Careen and her friends knew that Rachel would never say anything at this topic so they began to make fun of her after Carren said those words, one of them followed "Yeah look at her clothes even if she sell all of them I wonder if she can buy even one thing here."
"Which brand are her clothes and why have I never heard of them."
Carren was the princess of her family and she had always boasted off her family's wealth. Everyone in this mall knew who she was so the people from nearby shops came to see who had offended this rich princess. One of the shop owner came out to her and as she didn't want a lot of problem to be created near her shop, she began to talk to Careen in a flattering tone "Ma'am, you don't need to talk to useless people, we have some new jewelry in our store would you like to see that."
Carren was enjoying insulting Rachel that she didn't care about anything else "Sure but I wonder the standards of this mall has decreased to such an extent that anyone can enter this mall now.
The owner looked at Rachel in disdain as she spoke "I am sorry about that, we can't control who enters this mall but we don't allow people like these in our shop. These people who can't afford anything in this mall just come to enjoy the site of it."
After she said those words as voice was heard from behind Rachel that scared the shop keeper and everyone who was present there "Why would the daughter of Charles Cullen be not able to afford anything in your shop. According to me I don't think there would be a problem even if she bought everything in it."
A smile crept on Rachel's face at the stern and scaring voice and she turned around to hug the man "Dad, what are you doing here."
He spoke in a tone that only Rachel could hear "I wanted to spend some time with my daughter so I asked Robert to accompany your mom for some time."
He then looked at everyone who was now staring at them scared and he said in a loud tone for his daughter and everyone to hear "How can you let these people speak to you like that."
Rachel then smiled "I like seeing people judging others just by looks and then I wanted to see the look on her face when I would hand her the credit card."
Robert patted her back "As expected of my daughter."
He then looked at the lady who was insulting her "Now let me see your name, now that you don't have work ethics, you are not fit for this job."
The owner of the shop trembled "I am sorry, I didn't know..."
Charles cut her "Even if you didn't, you can't treat people like they are useless."
Then before she could say anything he looked at Carren "Now miss Carren, I respect your parents so I will let this slide but if there is a next time, you will have to face the consequences."
A wide smile spread across Rachel's face as everyone looked at them in shock, there was fear in everyone's eyes.
Charles then looked at Rachel and said politely "Now come sweetheart, let's buy all the things you need."
Rachel nodded with a smile and Robert took her to an empty fire exit, she turned around to ask him why they had come here but what she saw shocked her "Dad why are.... Oh my God how did you do that."
