Carren pretended that she was about to leave and then fell on her back that her head could hit Robert's chest, she thought she would take it to her advantage when Robert would help her by holding her in his arms but her expectations were shattered when Robert moved away from her and she fell on the ground hitting her head.

Rachel had a wish to laugh out loud but she suppressed it and looked at Robert telling him that he did a great job with her eyes.

Everyone in the room turned to look at her and some of them who wanted to be on her good side for long came running towards her to help her. Rachel moved closer to Robert and whispered in his ear "Let me join in this drama, it will be fun."

Robert smiled at her "Go ahead."

Rachel bent down with a worried look on her face she said "Oh my God, are you alright!" she knew Carren would act normal in front of someone many people who had now surrounded her.

She gritted her teeth as she knew Rachel was just gonna mock her so she put on a smile and got to her feet as she spoke "Yes, I am fine."

She turned around to leave so that Rachel would have no chance to embarrass her but that was impossible. Rachel held her hand and her face still had a worried look "I have told you so many times not to wear such high heals when you can not walk in then and you have tripped so many times I'm then. What is you accidentally break a bone some day, is impressing people that important to you?"

The look on her face and her voice sounded so genuine that people thought she was actually worried for Carren but everyone laughed at her words. Carren's face turned horrible and if she had the power, she could have killed Rachel with her eyes as she knew that Rachel was intentionally trying to embarrass her.

As if that was not enough Rachel spoke again "Do not laugh at her, she is not comfortable with it, what's wrong in that."

This had everyone laugh even louder and after this Carren shot everyone a look as she spoke politely "I am sorry for this, you can all enjoy the party."

Someone in the crowd said "What sorry, we enjoyed this a lot."

Everyone laughed but seeing that Carren was getting angry and as this was her house, everyone dissipated. Finally Rachel smiled seeing Carren's grim face who later stepped forward and spoke through her gritted teeth "Bitch, you did this intentionally."

Rachel smiled widely at her before saying innocently "What did I do, I was just drawing a line and telling you to stay away from my man."

Robert's face brightened up hearing the word, my man and he held Rachel by her waist showing Carren that he cared for no one else. Carren's face darkened and then stormed away without another word.

As she left Rachel finally let out her suppressed laugh and then hugged Robert who bent down to kiss her forehead saying "Your man won't let anything happen to you."

She looked at him and said "I know"

Jamie came looking for them soon and when finally she was alone with them she said "Rach, sweetie you look beautiful and your dress is amazing."

Rachel smiled "Thanks mom."

She then asked again "Do you mind if I take your fiance away, I want to introduce someone to him."

Rachel looked at her mother and made a joke "Better not be a girl for marriage or your daughter will cry on your shoulder."

Jamie laughed "Alright then, I am taking him."

Rachel nodded her head and then looked at Robert asking him to go, he was reluctant to leave her side as he said "Will you be fine alone."

"Off course, I am not a kid and if you don't leave now, I will beat you up."

Robert smirked and then left her side, after he left, Rachel looked around and spotted an empty corridor so she made her way away from the crowd to have some peace, she went to sit on the couch that was placed on the side. She had been too tired by everything that had happened and she wanted some time to relax so she rested her head on the back of the couch and closed her eyes.

Although she was in a relaxed state it didn't mean she was not aware of her surroundings, her skills had increased with practice and now she was even more aware of her surroundings and if ever a thief came to their house in the middle of the night, she could beat him up.

As she was resting, she felt someone's presence near her but before she opened her eyes the person had closed in on her and her first reaction was to land a punch on the person's face, the other one was caught off guard and fell on the floor with the heavy blow and his nose began to bleed as he cried "Ouch, you are too strong for a woman."

Rachel recognized the voice and opened her eyes to look at him "Oh my God! I am so sorry Alex."

She looked at her friend she had met the other day when they went to have ice cream in the middle of the night and they had promised to remain in contact. She quickly got to her feet and sat next to Alex, looking at his face in worry she said "You are bleeding, let me take you to the hospital."

He quickly wiped away the blood and looked a her "No need, it was just a nose bleed and I am fine."

She did not believe him and held his chin, moving her face closer to his to have a better look to check that everything was alright and when she was satisfied, she heaved a sigh of relief but still did not move away.

Alex could not resist his temptation and creasing her cheek, he said "You look wonderful tonight."

Rachel was about to say a thank you when someone her waist and pulled her up in an instant that she almost fell again but Robert held her in place, his eyes had turned silver and cold and his dangerous aura was enough to scare anyone around him. Rachel looked at him and realized that he had even grown a few inches taller but then she thought she was imagining things. She looked at him scared and said in a timid voice "Sweetie, it's not..."

Her sentence was cut off with his cold voice "I will deal with you later, step out of my way."

Her eyes widened, she knew if she stepped away from Alex, he would definitely die so she came to stand in front of him and tried to reason with him "Rob, please listen to me... "

Her sentence was cut off again "The more you take his side the more I will harm him, get out of my way sweetheart." he said patiently."

Rachel didn't know what to do leaving now was too dangerous, she looked at the Alex and said "Leave as soon as you get a chance."

He was already watching the man in front with horror as he said "What about you?"

Rachel glared at him "Idiot can't you see, he loves me and won't harm me but he will kill you, just run when I give you the opening."

"What are you gonna do?"

"Seduce him off course."

Alex could not respond to that as Rachel said those words as if it was the most obvious thing to do. While both of them were talking Robert held Rachel by her waist and placed her aside as if she was the most delicate thing and then made his way to Alex. Rachel quickly jumped in front of him again and realized seducing would not work so she wrapped her arms around his neck and placed a kiss on his lips.

He was too angry that he wanted to kill Alex at that moment but Rachel's kiss stopped him for a while. Rachel place her lips on his and signalled Alex to leave, he quickly got to his feet and was ready to leave when Robert held his neck and stopped him breaking free from the kiss.

Rachel was shocked that her kiss didn't work, she was tensed as she didn't understand what to do, she then went on front of him and said "Please let him go."

This had the opposite effect on him as his grip around Alex's neck only tightened. Rachel looked around helplessly, she was sure it was the end of Alex today but she could not let that happen.

Then an idea stuck her mind and she spoke out though she was still scared her words were threatening "Robert let go of Alex this instant or I will not marry you and return the ring to you right now. I will never talk to you and leave you forever."
