Everyone laughed and then Daisy apologized to Jamie which was sort out by a big hug and then she handed the gifts to everyone.

They chatted for a while when Jamie finally brought up the topic of the surrogate.

"Now that you know what your surprise was gonna be, so what do you think about me being your surrogate."

Daisy's eyes filled with tears at seeing how her best friend was ready to give up her nine months just for her but she could not let that happen "As much as I would love that, I can't do that to you because I want a person to be there with me all the time so I can feel the pregnancy by her side. You have your business in front of you that you need to fulfill so I don't want you to stay."

Jamie went to sit next to her and held her hands "I know what all things I will have to give up and what all changes will I have to face that is why I am saying this because I have been so stressed due to the work that I decided to take a break for few months, I would have stayed by Charles's side all the time and that would have been so boring. Staying with you will be so much fun and I can see my daughter any time I want. Moreover I know Charles is fully capable of handling things on his own but still of he needs me I will be a video call away from him."

Daisy thought for some time and said sternly "No, I can't keep you both apart for 9 months and it will be so painful." and stood up to go but Jamie pulled her back into the seat where she was sitting, held her hands and looked into her eyes with a heart melting gaze "Please let me do this, I want to do that for you."

No one could say no to that so she agreed when Charles assured her that he would keep visiting his wife on a regular basis but while saying that he was looking at Kevin with deadly eyes which meant that he had to keep an eye on him.

Jamie was so excited that she wanted to go right away so everyone got ready to go then Charles spoke in a chilly voice "Four of you leave, I will come with Kevin in my car." Daisy, James and Jamie went out to the car but Rachel stayed because she knew what was about to happen so she spoke in a soft calming voice "Dad I was crying last night and was really sad that is why he stayed by my side the whole night but trust me, he didn't do anything."

Charles raised an eyebrow and said in the same tone "Well then explain the high neck that you never wear" without giving her a chance to speak he said "never mind, sweetie you should leave and let me talk to him."

"But dad..." before she could say anything Charles gave her a commanding look and she had to leave Kevin alone.

Rachel was worried all the way to the hospital and when they finally reached there Jamie told James and Daisy to go ahead and she will just go to the washroom with Rachel.

She then took her daughter to the washroom and asked "You need to relax, Kevin is smart enough to handle your father."

"I know but dad is way to possessive."

"Calm down and put on a smile or your uncle and aunt would think you are not happy. At least do it for them."

Alright but you tell Dad to go easy on Kevin."

"Alright, now come with me."

Rachel nodded and they went out to catch up with the others.
